They aren't agressive, this is the game, not RL, I just based on what I've seen here posted. Ranging from the 7:37 to a plus 8 minute. That's 30 seconds between laps which is a huuuuge gap, even for Nurburgring.

I also play on Third Person and on a Pad. Seeing as he did a 7:37 and plays with the same "setting", I'll set my benchmark for that time. But from watching the video, he was almost flawless, I more than likely won't beat that time, and will probably not even crack a sub 7:40 time, but a sub 7:50? I can definitely crack that, and will, of course, show it.

IRL times of the Nurburgring are not 100% (probably not even 90% for some cars) to what the cars are truly capable of doing. Nurburgring is not only so long, but it's one of the most difficult tracks to drive a car due to how narrow and bumpy it is and with the massive elevation changes even within it's own sectors.

IRL you have G-Forces, Fear of crashing (more so in expensive cars), and all those upsets that come up with driving a car IRL. Plus, these drivers didn't have anywhere near the amount of practice we in the game have. We can put in as many laps as we can because it's a game, IRL for someone to rent the track for themselves to practice and do a 1 lap time trial costs an insane amount of money (and there's also a time limit), most time trials have been likely not even 5 laps on the track overall with practice, outlap and actual lap. At least from what I've seen of the Viper ACR attempt.

Heck just look at a 911 GT2 RS who has 3 lap times on the ring, with the slowest being 6:58 and the fastest (and the record) a 6:38... 20 second difference. The same driver who did the record had posted a lap time of 6:47 before, so he improved 9 seconds just after a few more practice sessions on the track.

So that RL Honda NSX-R lap time of 7:56 really doesn't mean much, ALL THINGS considered.
They are aggressive. Perdiod. 7.40 is not a good lap, it's incredible.

Some of you guy...doing 40s on a cool second attempt! Hot dang...I barely got it into the 40s after around 10 laps. Did a 07.47.045, and after 5 laps with my best sectors counted together, a 07.46.047. So yeah, major respect to ya'll, especially Yassi and the other alien! Getting this thing stock into the 30s seems absolutely impossible to me!

I hope it will help some of you wheel drivers. I still messed up the corner before the Karussell and got a little drift before Schwalbenschwanz so there‘s still time to gain (I just saw that the wind goddess didn‘t like me as well). But huge respect for @Hobson to pull off such a beautiful lap.

I was thinking about the wind as well but I have no clue if it makes that much of a difference.

Fantastic driving man, you guys are smooth as heck managing cars on the wheel! I wish the physics handled as good as they looked if that makes sense lol

@Yassi_99 I now realize where I lose most of the time. I've taken many turns on 2nd gear, which somehow I thought was faster. The third gear certainly feels very long. But this definitely helped me, curious to see what time I get by just changing gears!

I already tested it with some friends and it can lower your topspeed by quite a bit but it‘s not like it will gain me 8 tenths hahahahah. I really like your agressive driving style btw

You are welcome bro. Many people do this mistake as you always have to test if your car is better on torque or high rpm power

Oh yes that's the first thing I noticed... but some corners are very tricky in 3rd! It requires perfect braking before the turn and perfect turn in... 2nd gear is so much more forgiving, and actually feels faster lol

Seems like the fastest laps are not using 2nd gear at all, on any turn...

Jesus man, this is amazing.

You're showing me how much I'm overbraking into everywhere, and using second gear, wasting time with a shift while you're lugging third out of everything. You manage the oversteer so beautifully! I thought I had a decent grasp on the balance of this thing, but you're showing me that I'm messy as heck. Back to the drawing board!

Are you on the normal T300 pedals? I'm finding it super hard to not overbrake, and be gentle on braking. I mash the binders far too much, then when I release I'm upsetting the chassis and having to catch snappy transitions, which wastes a whole bunch of time. I've heard load cells are a night and day difference from the stock set, but I'm not one to blame my shoddy driving on my equipment. I'm also just total crap when it comes to most corner entries as well.

Absolutely fantastic stuff man. That's a heroic lap right there!

Thank you bro! I‘m using the T3PA pedals which were delivered with the Alcantara Edition of the T300RS. I’m thinking of changing to the TLCM because I‘d like even more resistance on my pedals but as it is right now, I‘m okay with the feeling I get. My pedals started to creak but nothing WD40 can‘t handle hahaha

If you plan on buying the TLCM, then go for it. I know many esports players that will always tell you, that a good pedal set is more important than a better wheelbase.

If anyone else has enjoyed this format of challenge … try out the stock E30 M3 Sport Evo (not the standard E30) on the Nordschleife with its default Comfort Soft tyres

It’s awesome to drive and very easy on the limit , sounds great too.

I managed an 8.22.711 which seemed a bit too good for a car of this era completely stock!

Corner speeds seemed to be very close to the NSX on most of the circuit but it lacks the straight line speed as to be expected with just 234hp.

there is no fear in us doing this
Except for me. ;)

I had a car wreck a few years ago on the way to work in the rain. And the pre-1.13 update made me genuinely afraid of the sports cars - and many of the race cars too! And of course racing in the rain can be nerve wracking for me, though I've adjusted to it. Some. The funny thing is, GT Sport didn't give me this sort of anxiety. That physics build must have been made for me. Oh well.

And oh well some more. I threw in the towel this morning after trying for two hours to get a clean lap, and something below eight minutes. My best because of numerous wrecks was a meager 8:18.838. I know I can do better too, and the sports hards grip really well, which was my biggest fear with them. But after doing the 8:18 on the very first lap, every subsequent lap resulted in a track departure, spin or crash into a barrier. Even with a DD Pro wheel the NSX just won't communicate with me like I need, and I might have the rest of my life to come to terms with the car but the time required is a bit much. I'm afraid I'm only competitive with tuners or race cars.
You guys did marvelously. :gtpflag:

Hi all,

I'm looking for lap times on the ring with 100% stock Honda NSX Type R 2002 (no changes at all).

Is there a list somewhere? Or, if you've done it and have it, can you post your lap time?

(it has to be in Time Trial mode - Morning - No assists except ABS Default)

Thank you very much!

Damn.. sub 8's stock in the NSX ??.. props gentlemen!.. I'm squeaking under 9's in my built VW-Golf-GTI.. now granted, I haven't been racing that long (GT7), and I have much to learn (tuning), but I, as a lot of you, go back to GT3 & am blown away for these "stock" times.. guess I got werk to do.. possibly make a comparable thread to get the Deutsche drivers involved..

I was about to give this TT a go when I realised I don't have the car... and found it a bit expensive in the brand central lol.
GT7 the real cheapskate simulator.

I'll try and do it at some point but I think the community is already well set with Hobson's and Yossi's sub-7'40'' marks. I don't think that will be beaten until some bigger names join in imo.

I think people saying that Grimm66jack got a bit ahead of himself with his times and comments post are right.
Hobson is a top-tier TT driver, maybe not the absolute fastest on all tracks but up definitely there with the big boys on the Nordschleife.

If it's ok with the original thread author, I'd like to suggest this TT idea to some of the JP drivers I have in my friends list, as I'm sure some of them are likely to challenge Hobson's mark.
I'm trying to make it to the world tour, so maybe? 🛸
Dude, do you have an alt account where you do dailies and FIAs?
I have a couple of World tour event winners in my friends list and pace-wise, I think you already have (or almost) what it takes to be there.
But when I watch on your profile page, I see that you haven't taken part in any "official" racing in GT7.

You should definitely get on that if you're not already, the racecraft and feel for the close racing while putting those top-tier times is something you'd want to rehearse beforehand, even more since you're a pad driver and tire wear is gonna put you at a disadvantage in longer races.
But that's just my 2cents of garbage-tier A+ old-timer.
I didn't know you were trying to get in your regional top 20, rooting for you now, cheers!
