Also, due to it working so well in WTCC, I'll propose that idea here. How about replacing full reverse grids with the system where the top 8 of the previous race are put in positions 1-8 on the grid in reverse order, followed by positions 9-16 in the order they finished in? Drivers who didn't finish or start the previous race would start from the very back. This enhances the competition without throwing the leaders into considerably slower traffic while trying to make up positions.

1-8 is much better as the guys lower down the field are not only fighting for points but for a better start in the next race. And of course it's safer for the faster guys as they are not pushing the slower guys to get past.
