My fault on Sakery "luck". He drafted, passed me, when I was going to fall back in line behind him, I didn't really measure how far I would've been from his rear bumper and hitted him. But by the way, Sakery twice shoved me on R2, one when I passed him on the outside (he tried to push me to the grass) in turn 2 and the other time was before I bumped him, when he passed me on the main straight. He simply passed me then went banging on my door, trying to push me down a lane to the middle of the track.

You know there are centrifugal forces which cause me to get to the outside and if your not infront you could have lifted the throttle a bit and fall back again ??
But no NOONE does this here. You always have to cover your inside and even if you do you get the bump from behind => you get forced of your line => can´t accel perfectly => you get passed !!

@Conbon: I should accept the manhandleing I recieve every Race ?? When I do the same those "opponents" whine like a B ??

Only person I drove off the line was Smuffy but he deserved it Yesterday.
Penalize me for that Furi !!

Race as you are raced. If I get get shoved back, I might be a little more aggressive passing that person back. I don't really blame sake that much. In toca, unfortunately, basically we all have to drive pretty aggressively to have any success.

Aggressively to a point, yesterday only race starts seemed to create major issues. Rest of the time was pretty good.

Yep.

Now next weekend is the TOCA7 finale at the Nurburgring. In a slight change, the top 12 will be still be locked into next seasons opener, but if they refuse, it will then go to DK or Sumo on a champions provisional, should DK not make it into the top 12. (Mathematically DK still can, Sumo cannot). Also I can add that me, Dax, Yeratel, Snowcrash, and Smuffy are all assure of a top 12 spot.


Car specs for TOCA8 will be published when thread is opened, which will be around three weeks time. I have barely started on the artwork, and I will be seeking to make it even better than this season.

Althought the TOCA website has not been updated (yet) , I do thank ORama for the Spa photo's, they will be used 👍

Hopefully we'll pull together a bumper entry for Nurburgring.

Sakery, if you decide to cover your inside line you can't then move back across to the outside at the braking zone! This is what you did and why you got bumped. Watch the replay, I had zero time to react I'm afraid.

I'm guessing we are both talking about the same incident, I've not seen any others

Sakery, sorry, but after you passed me you clearly pushed me to the middle lane of the track... I came back in line and hitted you. I miscalculated the time to fall back in line. You did the same exact thing to me twice in the race. At turn 2 I passed you on the outside cleeanly and you tried to push me out of the track, to the grass.

Cmon, I'm not the cleanest guy in the field and I sure know that, but what you did yesterday there wasn't the best out of you. I raced you a lot of times and we had some bumps there and there, but you always passed me clean and I did the same.

And I wasn't the only who suffered this from you.

In which way did I deserve it? Yes I’ve not been the cleanest driver in the field, but I’ve learnt in TOCA you need to give and take a few bumps, but purposely ramming someone off the track to ruin their race??? 👎

What are you talking about. Almost every race you hit me off. Remember autumn ring. Where you hit me off every race.

I think the controversy about what is acceptable contact and what isn't is just bound to occur when there's no clear rule.

- In my book, when you accidentally touch the other car in TOCA, and the other car can continue, that's ok.

- If you touch the other car and you gain a position just because you did, that's where the line is that you should not cross.

- It's definitely not ok, if you touch the other car, the other has to leave track to recover, and you simply go on as if nothing happened.

- It's also not ok to bump into the car ahead of you in each corner, because you can't be bothered to slow down enough.


I think people ought to remember that's what racing is, and not forget about it, just because TOCA is a little less strict with contact than other series. Allowing more contact than usual is a slippery slope as we can see. Once a couple of drivers go over the limit of what's acceptable and get away with it, everyone will follow or will lose out in the process. I've had one or two experiences this season where I just snapped mid-race and just adapted to everyone else's driving, and I don't like that one bit. Complaining every race doesn't really help, because there would have to be dozens of penalties each race, so I didn't and won't, unless it's a real divebomb. That doesn't make those instances ok though, if you ask me.

This is what happened to me in S3 and S4.2... (Only in S4.2 I was literally punted off every race bar 1 or 2 races.. Yet still came back for "decent" results.)

Honestly I don't think touring car style contact rules can apply in GT5. For me in touring cars the bump and pass is a tactic of certain drivers (where a light bump knock the other car slightly wide, opening a gap) can't be applied in GT5 because people simply exploit the rules, and would justify a downright divebomb as "rubbin' is racin'".

For me contact should be avoided at all times, an accidental nudge every now and then occurs, you can't get around that. 👍

And Furi, you're lucky I'm your team mate, if you tried overtaking anyone else like you tried to overtake me in R3 L11 they would definitely want you to have a penalty. Just remember, even if you're fighting for a win, it doesn't mean you can smash people out of the way

Didn't really see any other bad incidents, although it must be said I wasn't really looking for them
