Great to see people not over reacting over the rough racing tonight and accepting the apologies.

I only moan til i get an apology then i forget about it.

My driving wasn't nearly its best. I made a lot of bad judgment errors. I know I owe smuffy, yer, and conbon an apology.

Don't even remember having even been touched by you... you passed me when I went stright into Michelin's car who was weirdly sliding sideways towards the racing line, just before he DC'ed...

I remember getting DC'ed in the chicane after the round corner.. Anyway, I must say sorry for that happening even though I couldn't do a thing about it..

Ok that makes sense. The last 5 laps were insanely laggy for me. I thought that had something to do with it. I wasn't sure, so I thought I would apologize just in case. I'm glad conbon and smuffy accepted my apologies. I look forward to next round.

Give me a little bit. Few PM's to sort. Nice racing to everyone else and congrats in Spurgy's triple.

I'm sorry, but I'll only be able to watch the replays tomorrow, but be sure I'll send a PM...

I'm glad we're over our dispute at Cape mate 👍

Good racing tonight, getting used to the Audi now. It's feeling good, bring on Fuji GT 👍

I said the BMW would most likely be the better rwd for AR ;). Spurgy can win in anything. (My Mini likes beating him though :sly:) Toca dirty, bah nothing new here at all...

Spurgy got a triple? Dammit, I was hoping SnowCrash could hold on for another lap.

On topic - Race 2 will see penalties, expect results on monday.

Right, I was late for TOCA, but this was worth every minute :D - An old college mate of mine is drummer in this lot, invited me down to see them audition for a talent show.

Off topic I know, but I thought I'd share:

You know, I would love to see the last lap from the quali race again (didn't save the replay). Boy, I drove with my heart after the lap 2 mistake, and the battle with Scanny and Sumo was awesome! Beatin' and banging, battling for every inch possible to be locked in the main races. And I HOPE there we're no hard feelings between me and Scanny (gave him a little bump in the second part of the chicane after the round turn) and with Sumo (gave him a little side tap after his, let's say, divebomb).

That race was really good. DK and I had a nice battle for 1st going in the first few laps.

Agree on what Spurgy said about restart of race 1. It's known behaviour that after leaving to the lounge the times and therefore the grid positions are lost. We should have lined up on track, it only takes a minute.

Race 1: Some nice battles in the beginning with one incident that wasn't ok. Managed to get into 4th behind Michelin. As long as Dax was in the lead, the gaps pretty much stayed constant. Then Spurgy used his tyre advantage and pulled away. Michelin had a problem in the chicane on top of the hill and I ended up 3rd.

Race 2: I slowly got up the order until I had an unfortunate situation with DK. We went through the carousel side by side and I had a little more speed going up the hill. Going into the chicane, I was a little ahead, but on the outside. It's a moot point to argue about whose corner it was, of course I was furious when it happened, but I might also not have yielded the corner in DK's position. Anyway, result was he tapped my left back, I went wide right and then went into the barrier on the left. Ended up 10th or 11th in that race, don't even know.

Race 3: Had quite a good starting position for race 3, and managed to use it quite well. Got into the lead early on and quickly pulled out a 3 second gap in just one lap (apparently some commotion behind). The next lap the gap stayed constant although I was running low 19's, and I saw that Dax had taken second. Was worried he would reel me in, but I managed to maintain the gap. Spurgy was only 8th then and I was praying for him to be held up. Of course, in the late stages our front tyres were no match anymore. I managed to fight Spurgy off for 2 laps by making the car as wide as it would go, covering with defensive lines. Props to him for not doing anything rash and waiting for his chance. 3 corners from the end, the fight was over though and he took the win.

Just one more word about Dax's opinion that the cars are not equal (enough). I tend to think that everyone knew ahead of the season what the cars' specifications were and we had ample opportunity to test how they behaved in 1-lap speed or in longer stints. E.g. it was clear to me that the Mazda was probably among the best in 1-lap speed on any track, but that it would suffer because of tyre wear especially on the twistier circuits like Autumn Ring. It's always a trade off with different drivetrains. Making the FF's faster would have been unfair to the FR's on faster tracks. Saying that, I think that with Racing Hard tyres the cars would be easier to balance, because the tyre drop off at this race length is not as dramatic.

Even snuck in a cheeky 360 that race :sly: No idea how to get a video up of it though so someone will have to do that for me, it was going into T1 on lap 3 R3, any volunteers? :)

👍 completely agree, he should have tested before hand. At the tracks I tested the Mazda at (pretty much just Spa and MotegiE), the tyre wear wasn't greatly different, obviously the Mazda has more, and the Mazda was faster by a few tenths which is why I wanted to pick it, but Furi doesn't like dealing with tyre wear :P Plus the Infiniti was a good all round car so I didn't mind :).

Firstly I'd like to apologise to Chris for my car hitting him during race 2. I'd parked it up went down stairs for a beer and when I came back my car had gone somewhere else, odd. So sorry about that Chris.

Secondly, the reason I was parked up is because someone saw fit to dive bomb in lap one. The standard of driving took a nose dive like a bloody Led Zeppelin during this meeting and here we were thinking that driving standard had improved, yeah right. There are people driving in TOCA that STILL think that the race is run in one lap.

Time to go away and have a word with yourselves.

Have you watched the replay? I'm pretty sure it was lag, it was on mine at least.

I have indeedy. Like I said to furi, I compete here to win. Sure it's all fun etc but really, everyone is here to win, that's why there is a score board. If my car will not allow me to do so, I cannot see any reason for me to continue when I can get better racing standards on iRacing every hour.

Sorry guys. ;)

I have Mate. It started 3 cars back and with every impact the force was increased until it got to me, and there was nothing in front of me so I got the full force of the impact

Still going to check replay however. Fox always seems to have a target this season on him, kinda the Adam Morgan of this season...
