Would be nice to see some more stuff from you, you were a natural at this.
Awww, shucks, you flatter me. My effort was decent for a beginner, but no more than that. It was a lot of fun, though, and I hope I can find the time to make another.
Image size is always a toughy. If you find a high quality but low res image you can blow it up before tooning it (i had to do this with the RE Amemiya RX7).

Dangeruss likes finding pics that are much bigger than his ideal final image size, tooning them and then shrinking the final image to irradicate jagged edges.

I tend to look for images that are wallpaper sized, preferably 1280x1024 or bigger and put up with whatever jagged edges appear.
Yeah, given that these images are all about 420x500 or so, I was afraid that even if I up the image size in PS, they just won't have the detail necessary. Sounds like that's the case. I was lucky enough to run across a relatively high-res image of the TSX, but it looks like I'm going to have to wash my car up and take a few good pics of it myself rather than relying on the 'net.

Thanks for the advice, and the encouragement.

Finished the Mustang :)

haha db that looks awesome, but so so so mean! I saw on devart as you are in my watchlist, Eleanor by donbenni.... I thought you had finally finished the normal vector of the car and it was the toonage version. lol.

Maybe to get inspired again for the Mustang you should do a kind of legacy tribute to the car, in a big peice. So maybe have the 05 Mustang Eleanor on one side, the Gone in 60 Seconds Nic Cage Eleanor on the other side, and then in the middle have the original Eleanor Mach 1. Downside is that it would take up ALOT of time. lol
Just throwing an idea out.

Great work from all artists in here though.

Most people use Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW and flash. I personally use Illustrator.

Did you blur the headlights?
it looks pretty soft which makes it more oldschool
very cool vector 👍

Well, I've ditched my other two projects as they weren't going as planned. This is my latest WIP of an Alfa Romeo

Just got the basic colors, and I'll work on the details later.
Before anyone asks, yes, the wheels are supposed to be like that, lol :boggled:

wow suz, thats shapin up to be one of ur best works imo, tho its hard to top the skyline u did:drool: Im lovin the hoodscoop, looks so real! can't wait to see the finished product.👍

I think it's gonna top the a Skyline, and the Imprezza is a cooler car in my oppinion. It's so imprezzive[/cornyjoke]

Got most of the side done now:

I think I'll stick with just the pen tool for now. Using gradients is a bit confusing to know when to use them, and I can't seem to get the colors right. I think I'm just better at solid colors.
