Really? I can't see where you're talking about, can you show me?

Pow, new project :D

Suz: Great work  ... ... soooo clean!

Shant: Nice to see you tooning again matey :D This one will be killer.

MINICOOPER120: I think he means that everything looks a bit messy. The wheels in your toon are made up of about 4 sides, usually wheels are round. Finish this one up and start a new one, each project will get better and better.

for cooper i meant that the lines that make up the outline, door and hood gaps, etc, are really jagged and look rushed. It makes the car look rough as i said before, but yea finish this one for sure and your next one will only be better, good practice 👍 , and don, ur my hero, thats all that needs to be said lol. ( i love the time machine!)

OK, I'll keep working on this until it's finished, and then switch to another.

Again, the wheels are supposed to be cut off at the bottom, and be really strange near the bumper, it's just how the picture was. You'll see in the final result, when I post the original and final.

Everyone's posting WIPs so let me join in!

As you can see, I'm getting jaggie problems.

You need to turn anti aliasing on when working with any path tool like the elipse tool you used to created the rim shape.

How did you create the lines?

Hmm. I tried doing lines in Illustrator and moving them to Photoshop before and found it didn't work very well (it was the Fabulous RX8, that's why it's lineless :P). They do look a bit jagged, tis a shame.

I've found a way!

Do linework in Illustrator, export it as PSD, then save as jpeg (or whatever format) Everything is nice and smooth now!

Hello all.
I´m new here (this is my first post!) and i´m portuguese.
I´ve started recently vectoring cars (ok.. just one to be honest) althought i´ve some experience with vector tools from other types of work.
Can you belive i´ve checked all this topic from the begining? yeah.. that´s insane i know , but i really like this type of work and i´m crazy about cars as much as almost people around here :)
This is probably the best place i could find 👍
Amazing works.

Best regards.

wow mikoto, thats some of the best line work i've seen in a while 👍 , also i've never seen wheels done like that, very interesting, cant wait to see it done!

Nope, no filters used. I don't really know how to create a proper pattern in Illustrator, so the next best thing to do was to create each honeycomb point-by-point. Took quite some time, but I think it came out pretty alright.

It's been a while...
Had some spare time yesterday and made this black/white lambo.

If you click the above pic you will be forwarded to a high res desktop (1920 x 1200).
