thats nice zoxxy, but i think it could use a little more detail, especially on the side. But thats just my oppinion maybe you were goin for that look, i dunno. And .star. i cant see any of ur pics, all i get is red x :grumpy: :dunce:
 
That's sweet, love it 👍 If i could crit on anything, it'd probably be that the white is too white, there aren't quite enough greys.

Zoxxy: Looking nice :) As with star's, white toons always look great to me. Keep at 'em.

Started a new piece without even realising it!
First strated as a tattoo design for my now (as of this morning) ex-girlfriend.
She didnt ask me to do it specifically just take a couple of designs she likes to my local tattoo place.
Soo instead i try to design one myself :embarrassed:
Based from a reference pic of a purple emporer butterfly :)

that much took about 30 mins, not gonna be too detailed because otherwise it'd hurt! :lol:

wow, that rx-7 is amazing, one of the best i've seen. I cant wait to see volv's aston, that grill just blows me away how real it looks, great job man,

Not finished it yet, i sorta postponed it cos it was gettin damn difficult, i might start it up again once i clear up some personal things :)

Edit: I managed to finish the tatoo design after messing about with the tribal bit and other things for about an hour or two. i think it came out great! :)

What image size do you start with? I haven't been able to find any decent pictures of my car except from Autotrader, and they are limited to about 560x420 for a base image. If the car pretty much fills the frame, is that good enough to work with?

Would be nice to see some more stuff from you, you were a natural at this.

Image size is always a toughy. If you find a high quality but low res image you can blow it up before tooning it (i had to do this with the RE Amemiya RX7). However that sort of image is rare, so you may have to stick with the line of thought that whatever size the image is is what size the final piece will be.

Dangeruss likes finding pics that are much bigger than his ideal final image size, tooning them and then shrinking the final image to irradicate jagged edges. I like this idea but struggle to find images large enough to start with.

I tend to look for images that are wallpaper sized, preferably 1280x1024 or bigger and put up with whatever jagged edges appear. Considering i haven't used black lines to cover the edges, this Mustang is coming along quite neatly.

Yeah i charicatured it first in Photoshop and then set about cleaning it up. I attempted this car a while back but didn't get very far, it got a little boring. Here's the first attempt and also shows how the car looked originally:

Lower back i should think, thats where she was telling me anyways, that type of tatoo fit lower back perfectly too :)
But as for you, get back on it and get eleanor done, :P
Think we could have a normal & a caricature version? :D
 
Ooh dunno about that, too much effort. I'm starting to get a little bored of this charicature version as it is. Will need to move onto something new soon (got Photoshop open now, just can't decide whether to do the lights or get those damn rims finished first...).

Congrats on the 3k 👍 Surprised you haven't had more, you really should have.
