Hoooly crap, two Scoobies!

@Mister E : My oh my... that is really beautiful. So, so realistic looking. The headlights are amazing! I can't wait to see the final piece... man this is going to kick ass. *loves Imprezas :D*

donbenni : Looking pretty so far! Glad to see you're experimenting with Illustrator! Very pretty paintjob :D

zoxxy : Looking smooth!

Slick6 : Nice little details you got there 👍 Hope the rest of the car is going to be like that too xD

Looking sexay as always! 👍 BTW, I just noticed something (might just be me).. those rims look a bit flat. :odd:

Here's a little WIP shot of something i've been working on...

Gwen Stefani.

@ Shant: Yeah the spokes on the rims have no depth at all. The edges were only mildly visible in the photo, but not enough to actually draw a line that looked right on any of them, so i left them out and wrote it off to n00bness :D

Gwen's looking gorgeous 👍

:) Very kind of you. She looks sweet btw.

Don, it's lovely. Totally opposite to what I do, the simplistic paint without gradients looks surprisingly good. Clean machine.

Welcome back stumpy. Colorful as usual. 👍

Heh, Im gonna make Shant jealous......
When I was in the 6th grade and my father was still working security at the newly opened Hard Rock Hotel, No Doubt had just finished thier set at the House of Blues (which my dad was overseeing at the door) and dad had to escort them to thier room.
After they all got to thier rooms or wherever they decided to go afterwards, Gwen came back and told dad and his team thanks for not allowing any ruckus. She then offered to have a popsicle with him and the crew. I was in the security office talking with my dads head of security about who knows what. Dad paged the head and had me come.
They were orange flavored. :D

:eek: O.M.G :eek: right now id probably reply with a quip along the lines of "HeY Th4T RoxXorZ!!!1!!one!!!H0t c4R ph0To n0W sHOw uS y0ur Pixx!!!" but i see thats been done already :lol:
anyway that is a totally astonishing picture, the reflections, shadows, beautiful stuff dude 👍

@GTJugend : Thank you :lol: BTW, those rims look fantastic on the car. Forgot to tell ya that. xP

@AutoTooned : I'll second what donbenni said.

MisterE : :eek: Amazing, simply amazing! I gotta try something like this... sometime. xD;;

Random progress on my first piece of this sort. Real image is twice this size. Any advice is appreciated.

Edit: Pretty much finished the outline. The color and shadows should make all of the gaps make sense on the finished product.

Nice work Mister E, Donbenni, Shant, StumpyDino and The Chemist. (Uh. :D)

Btw, does anyobody know how to colour in AI. :indiff: 👎

I do i do!!

I'm really crap at explaining, but i'll try.

Ok at the bottom of the toolbar there are two squares, one solid and one with a small square inside it (like a stripe). These two larger squares overlap. The solid one is what colour the path will be filled with and the 'striped' one is what colour the line will be (stroke).

So to colour in AI, select a path and then select a colour in the solid box :)

Ahaa, got it now! :D Thanks 👍

The C60 is taking an insane amount of time, so I've put that one one slow work mode - I'll work on it a few times a week, but it won't be my main task. Started a different, bit less complex job. I'll post the outline soon.
