Sorry people but i just cant help it, ive got to show you more! ;)
Finished the detailing in the side windows and ill crack on with the front windscreen tomorrow. again its 2:40AM GMT so i need some sleep!

I like how the wheels look after Omicron filtered them, so i might apply that to the wheels on the RS4. I dont think i have the patience to do wheels like i did on the M3 CSL :indiff:, and plus i really wanna get this finished so i can start another!

I think some of you guys should also work like this. Set out your project and treat it as number 1 until its complete, even if you lose interest in the subject car, just keep going until its done then you will be able to start another. A lot of people dont finish many many pieces of art that i think would do a credit to their galleries. Just my opinions :P

Sorry, can you repeat that again, i think i had something funny in my ear. What is this new word... filter? :guilty: Don't filter it! It's looking lovely. You know if you filter the rims, that's gonna be all that everyone talks about. Even tooning the rims badly is better than filtering them ;)

You've done a great job so far, the colouring is most impressive 👍

And about your last part: that's t3h problem i have. It sucks. I just can't finished projects. The lines are great fun and look really good, so the beginning is always ok. But the i start colouring and it all starts to look rubbish and messy and i lose interest. However if i persevere i finished details like the lights and the wheels and all of a sudden it looks great and im spurred to finish the project. I'm just entering that last section with my Veilside RX7 :)

Ok well ill do both then, so i can see which i prefer, ill complete it with filtered rims and then post that up on DA until i have the full tooned version complete because the wheels alone will take me longer than most of the rest of the work ive done.

Just finished the front window detail, no window wipers as they are too dark to even see properly, and i added the rear heated window element :P

Believe it or not, but the origional resolution is right there. Everything that i've been working on has been in that size, it's a little bit of a pain, but I couldn't find any bigger picture.
Bummer. It would've been great in a higher resolution for when my borderless A3 printer arrives :dopey:👍

Otherwise what can I say that you don't already know, it's superb ;).

Thanks guys, it's always good to have guys of your caliber making those kinds of comments on my work. If I ever find a really good High Res image of this car I will do another one just like this, or better. I love the lines of this car, am i'm 1/2 tempted to take that damn intake off the back under the wing.

This was time well spent I think. I will be posting it up on deviantart under the name omicronium.:sly:

Also, i'm serious, anyone who wants to remake those rims please do. They look cool (except the blurry one) but I really want to give the car that extra touch.

Won't be blue when finished, but getting there now. Bodywork is roughly 87% complete (maybe 87.3%), then just got the wheels and the interior which shouldn't take too long - the rims are hardly visable (loads of tyre) and the interior isn't overly detailed.

Any guess on what colour scheme it will be when finished? :D

black & red or yellow and red.. or something similar? [or just white] lol

Oo... white  👍 I have the softest of spots for white cars. They are just t3h s3x.

But no, as much as white cars are the shiz i'm not doing this in white. Or black & red or yellow & red :P

Yellow for the stripe thingy and black for the rest? Or the other way round? That'd look cool. Maybe pink? :D

OmicroN i was looking at adding CF (already tried it twice) and those white lines along the central section too! Great minds.

[edit]Just finished the bodywork including the colour change and the CF and it looks much better :)

you would go and say that now wouldnt you!:grumpy: nah i tried with the pattern but then realised i couldnt get it looking right and anyway as you move round the car the size of each hexagon differs slightly so this way is more accurate :P Plus i think it looks rather sweet and that part by the light would have been impossible with a pattern:dopey:

You most certainly should do the side mirrors in CF also, and possibly that section of the door where the vents lead from front to back.:dopey:

Bondy, certainly going into a lot of detail, I think it'll pay off for you. On this I would certainly try to use that diffuse tool. If you make a raster layer on the top, then do the diffuse, then change the blending to whatever looks good (possibly soft light) then that might look nice for ya. I usually use lighten, to give it a little glow...

As for photoshop tips, here's another one for ya.
1.Create a raster layer as top layer.
2.Go to "blur > Radial Blur"
3.Change the setting to "zoom" at 50%
Hit enter, then your image should have a sunburst effect. After that, set that layer to "lighten" it'll shine the whiter parts, make it look like it's glowing. Also use "image>adjust>levels" adjust it to make it look good, if you move the right tab to the left the light will be more defined, move the left tab it'll be brighter. Meet the tabs near the middle you'll have a really bright and defined light streak leaving the image.

Enjoy.

So the transformation is almost complete :) Just rear wheel and the interior to do.. and well perhaps so other touches if i can get them to look good :D

:dunce: :dunce:What?!:dopey::lol:im sorry but i dont understand how to even create a 'raster' layer! The rest i could probably do but you'll have to explain that part to me! :dopey:
