I think it's just a regular layer. :)

lol, well, go to the top layer, press CONTROL-A to "select all" and then control-shift-c for "copy merged." (control-shift-c) copies all the layers combined, so if your in a layer with just a headlight, control-c will copy just the headlight, where as the other will copy the whole image) After all that mess just hit "control-P" to paste it over the top. After that, you'll have a raster layer. :D

Donbenni, that car is looking great, I love the touch with the wheel turned like that, very origional. Always liked your work, i'll say your the reason I got into 'tooning' cars. I think it was your NSX that pushed me to want to do this.

Wow! thanks that really helps a lot :) ive added that along with your other two very helpful posts to my IE faves list for reference :D anyway i thought id mess about with different patterns and backgrounds and discovered something i didnt know before :lol:with the fill tool selected i i hit mode: 'clear'
and slapped it on the bg. little did i know it would erase all the white crap and leave me with an almost 'preview' like image :D (i still have a lot to learn about photoshop as u can see!) heehee heres my preview minus the wheels and bg (originals) and final grille (just not done :lol: ) :P

Ok people here's my first version and easiest to complete! i filtered the wheels and the background but all the bodywork is vectored painstakingly :)
i know ill get moaned at for filtering but i see a few people eagerly awaiting a desktop sized version (: so here it is (until ive finished the wheels in vector form, could take a while!)

No, actually don thats not plastic wrap. i diffused the background (including wheels) and then again when the whole image was together so the wheels appear more tooned than if only 1 diffuse was used :P:dopey:

Don - Would you happen to have that image in 1600x1200 ?... I would LOVE that as a background, but I HATE scaled up images...

Wow, such a brash comment on your desktop screenshot bondy. :( Sorry to see such an aggrevated comment on your page. And to answer dB's question, there is *sorta* a reporting agent on dA. Go to the help desk and see if you can't report negative posts. I've seen people's posts removed, as well as, people banned for that crap.

Now, a little history lesson!

The American flag paintjob was originally painted on Lamborghini Diablos that raced in the Supertrophy series, and back in its racing days it was the only American entry. I originally wanted the car to be white, but I thought the paintjob looked cool so I tried to replicate it on a Gallardo. Maybe I'll try adding some race mods on the car. :)

Hrmmm whaddya think guys, i could either go for really detailed rims on the RS4 or i could go the simplistic smooth look. those look very nice n smooth U18 and Suzy ;) oh and have you got a DA account suzq044? if not i suggest you get one :) it'll earn you a few favourites straight away :D
