Gran Turismo 4 the game as it listed like I said. I just bought the car not even used it not even get "inside it".

Gran Turismo 4 the game as it listed like I said. I just bought the car not even used it not even get "inside it".

I'm at work now, so I can't see what's actually in the game. Not giving trouble, fab, just trying to understand. :)

Most likely the discrepancy is due to different spreadsheets/sites collecting data from different screens. As far as I can tell the most accurate is the garage list screen where you can see 10 cars at once as these figures match those in the tuning menus.

Book/showroom data is next to useless as I'm sure everyone knows.
Replay figures I believe are those of a new car without oil change - even if you are driving a used car.
Any other numbers I have yet to figure out though.

I think I'll go with a Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec N1 (R34) '99. Hows that for random gibberish after the name?

I belive that the GT-R and the WRX STi both have more than 300BHP..... I'll allow them though.

By my numbers, the GT-R has exactly 300hp, but the Spec.C has 326.

I've now looked into all of the varying power figures I could find in the game using my Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec N1 (R34) '99:

* Those in Red we know are wrong, and should be ignored.
* Those in DarkRed show the modified power in PS or metric horsepower and will be the same for everyone no matter what units you are using.
* Those in Orange are the true modified power in the correct units.
* Those in Green are the ones I use, and will be the same for everyone.
* They always show the power in PS or metric horsepower no matter what units you have selected.
* Those in Blue are the true unmodified power in the correct units.
* Those in Grey might appear to be "used car with fresh oil" but are not quite so.
* Previous testing has shown that there is a 0.25% power difference, and that these figures actually represent the power of a new car with stock oil.

2nded, the '99 GTR has 300HP when straight from the 2nd hand dealer on my garage menu as well. Everyone knows that's the pretty well established figure to use when quoting the power in GT4 right?

Hey guys, long time since I have done some online racing and seeing this thread got the ole juices flowing again. I believe I'm in before the deadline so here is my entry

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02

Good luck everyone!

Round 2: Building your Touring Car

The Producers have finally told us what the cars are for. We have to build our own Touring Cars out of them! The regulations are simple. Your car must have less than 450 BHP, it must weigh more than 1000kg but less than 1500kg, and it must have R3 tyres fitted (Racing Medium Tyres). You may not install or use Nitrous or any tyre other than the specified typre (R3's). You have 72 hours to complete this task.

Flynn's Buick GNX '87
1328kg (stage 3 weight reduction)
450hp on the dot (un-oiled, stage 3 turbo, racing intercooler, and semi-racing exhaust)
R3's

My Impreza has been turned into a well oiled machine:
Stage 5 turbo, Sport intercooler, chipped, ported, balanced, racing exhaust, Stage 3 Weight Reduction, etc.
All good for 442 hp and a curb weight of 1215 kilograms.
Also, if we are talking about gibberish, my car is called the Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon STi GG Type I '00

Are we just supposed to tune the engine and reduce the weight, or can/should we install stuff like suspension, brake and transmission upgrades etc as well.

I fully tuned the car in everything expect power to keep it under 450 BHP. It has the most powerfull 438 BHP in the world. I did not increased the rigidity because the only thing that I noticed it does is increase understeer. It weights 1164 Kg. I changed the wheels for some less gold ones and to finish I put a different wing on it.

Parts for my Chevy
Stage 3 NA Tune & PC Chip: new HP 443
Stage 3 Weight reduction: new KG 1202

details for other parts still coming
