Hey boss, I'm back from a short vacation. Sorry I did not send in my time-off request before I left. I'm a little sad I have no reviews yet. Oh well, I have a Touge car in the works - well at least as far as I understand Touge. Look for it soon...

Welcome back. The new uniforms are here, but I'm not sure of the pink and brown color choice :D

Sorry, been really busy with the shootout, clueless stuff, and real life things, but that TVR needs a run and review and I WILL do it when I can. I've also been trying to do some Touge tunes as well, and failed badly, but the Boss fixed it! (That's why he's the Boss). I hope to get that TVR out this weekend.

As far as reviews go I have three tunes here and 15+ down the street and have only one real review :(. They will come... If not just enjoy the fun of making a great tune :)

Boss, I covered the back room with a tarp like you asked :D

No worries guys im not gonna be around this weekend much got some drinking & skating to do. Will post my Rally shootout tune shorty though(possibly).

This thread has definatly become more lively since you two joined so hopefully we get some reviews in the near future.

@Myelement
I will try tune that supra up for you this weekend, if not will have it for early next week.

Toyota FT-86 Concept '09 / 450pp / Sports Soft Tires

Spec II Updated - Online Track Tune

This car is not bad to tune offline, but not so easy online. It had a lot of bad habits. It is good to go online now. I'm not sure if concept cars are allowed in all 450pp rooms, since this one is at least 1 second faster per lap than the other road cars I have been tuning at this level. Enjoy, and please send me some feedback.

The parrot picked the colors. Parrots might be colorblind. I'll have to look it up. I think he just wants to be in charge. Be careful if he asks for a ride in the Tamora. You have to keep the top on. If you lower the top, he could fly out at high speeds.

Thanks for getting the tarp. The boss thinks we are getting onto the touge business. He doesn't know about the bootlegging operation.

So while dusting off the many trophies here in the Top Performace Tuning garage, and reading up on Touge racing I decided to try my hand at a 440pp Touge tune.....

Hi kren,
Just testing this car now and I noticed that the parts list is missing the high rev turbo.

Review tomorrow.

Fixed it, thanks 👍. Used this for the new mini seasonal, and I can tell you it does NOT like the flat tracks! But put it in the mountains ....:). Hope you like it, give it to me strait though I've never tuned for Touge, tell me what I can improve on. Thanks :dopey:

Thanks Boss! Hope I'm doing okay. I have a Supra 3.0gt Turbo a '88 I've been messing with (500pp/426hp sport hard). Would you like to take a look at it?

Oh and by the way the paint will be dry my Monday 👍:sly:

P.s. Madmyk took your Tamora tune for a quick run before bed.. 👍👍 :D. Will give it a full review before the week is over. 👍

The TVR Tamora. Just saying the letters T-V-R puts a smile on my face. You see I love overpowerd, wheel spining, insainly fast cars (see all my Viper tunes at clueless....sorry Boss). Now most know TVR for the Speed 12, or Speed 6, but the Tamora they scaled back the crazyness and tried to make a more refiened car, one that will only stab you when your back is turned, not in front of your face. I really like the TVR's, so madmyk... no pressure :sly:

nrburgringnordschleifegl.jpg

First lets start with the looks. Weird, different, but beautiful. I would have thought putting a rear wing on would ruin the looks, but I kind of like it with it on, looks more...quick :). Now lets move on to the tune, and parts. With the car already light removing weight I didn't understand, and I'm not a big fan of limiting the engine. But the tranny looks good, and the suspension looks just soft/hard enough. Well lets see what we have here. Lets race.

Now I'm used to a TVR power sliding around when you push it to far, but still controlable. With this power slides are rare, and if it does happen no effort needed to bring it back. The Handling is amazing, and sooooo much grip! Every corner you can get back on the gas so quick without a worry, and with the way the transmission is set, acceleration is never a problem. Going around the 'Ring was very fun and entertaining. Only when I left the track did I lose the handling, and that's because I'm not a good driver. The Wing, the weight, and the limiter just make sence, great job! So to you, madmyk, I say that this is now my favorite car to drive, I can't get enough of it!!! Great tune to a great car!!! You should be very proud!!!!!👍👍👍

Hey krenkme, thanks for the review! I'm glad you are having as much fun with it as I am. It changes its personality as you change the brake balance and the amount of downforce but you can dial it in the way you like it with just those settings.

Also I am glad we are now friends on PSN. I took your 700C out for a spin tonight on the Eifel track in the Supercar seasonal. It was a ton of fun too. It's cars like this that make this game enjoyable.

Still working on the mini reviews.
I'm doing the whole mini seasonal with both the the minis on here and comparing.
Rather enjoyable. But time consuming.

Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor '98 / 450pp / Sports Soft

Re-testing for Spec II, SS and SH tires. Please Stand By...

I was slightly surprised to see no tunes posted for this car on GT5Tune. It is the lightest of Mercedes, with a good, solid suspension. It has good grip, handles its power well and is overall a solid performer. Tested online and offline.

Pics coming soon.

440pp Mini test.

Top Performance Tuning have 2 Minis in their line up.
I thought I'd test the 2 of them in the Mini Seasonal. Test tunes and make cash while I'm doing it. testing cars and buying all the parts and available cars from the UCD really has dented my wallet. over the lat 2 weeks.

I know with the seasonal there have been few more Minis pop up in turners garages that are around the 440pp I may if I find time check these out too.

So the cars:

Mini cooper s '05
440PP
235BHP
1109kg
Premium

Mini One '02
440PP
238BHP
1077Kg
Standard

Tracks tested on:
Tsukuba
Trial Mountain
London
Autumn ring mini

On the first track I did a pre and post tune race to see the difference the tune made. I added all the parts for the first run so it was at the correct BHP, weight and PP but left the finder settings alone.

Tsukuba.

Pre tune:

Cooper S - This wasn't a great car with just parts added. Lots of under steer in to just about all the corners. Not much fun to drive at all.
Best lap time: 1:07.143

One - Much better to start than the mini cooper at the same PP level. Less understeer, felt better going in and coming out of the corners
Best lap time: 1:06.834

Post Tune
Cooper S - This felt like a different car. Much better turn in on the corners, but gave me a little too much confidence so still ended up on the grass a couple of times when I was going way too fast in to the tight corners. Much better once parts were tuned, great job.*
Best Lap time: 1:06.440

One -The tuned car felt a lot better than the time difference would lead you to believe. Again like the cooper it gave me to much confidence and twice I over shot my breaking point on the first corner. Other wise very similar story felt like it would grip for ever. Great car.
Best Lap time: 1:06.507

Trial Mountain.
Cooper S - this is a touge style track, so I was most interested to see how the cars handled this track. I have top say i was really happy with how well these little cars took to the track and held on in the big corners as well as the tighter ones.
Best lap time: 1:44.657

One - Now I made a bit of a mistake with this I some how managed to put it back on to Comfort medium tyres when I first got on the track. so the start of this review is for Comfort tyres.
The mini one just wasn't up to the job of taking on the trial mountain. There was a huge lack of front end traction on the larger high speed corners. This car eats the tight lower speed corners up no problem. But lets go leaving you heading for the track edge if there is any real speed involved.
Best time 1:49.530
Scrap that. I did this race on comfort medium Tyres no wonder it felt so understeery.
Once it was running on the right tyres this was a great little car on this touge stye track. Sticks to the road and is a Hugh amount of fun to drive.
Best lap time: 1:45.146

London.
Cooper S - The London track was a night mare for the minis. The wheels seemed to spin a lot on this road surface so I just couldn't get the car round the track fast enough to win the race. I managed a second and a few thirds before I gave up and pulled my 450pp mini with race soft tyres out and wone the race by about 5 seconds. This car was more constant around London but couldn't quite get the same lap time as the mini one. Cooper would be better for a race. But would loose a time trial against the mini one.
Best lap time:1:04.315

One - Not a great track for the mini one. But it wasn't built for London street racing. Best less said on this section the better. Couldn't do better than third. Too much understeer and lots of wheel spin.*I got one fast lap but was a whole second slower on average.
Best lap time:1:03.518

autumn Ring Mini.
Cooper S - this was the better of the 2 cars on this track by about a second. But it's hard to tell. Being in a race situation on this track stopped me getting any clean lap times. Don't like this track at all. I needed to crack out the 450pp race soft tyres again to win this race.
Best lap time: 44.5xx

One - Silly track too much traffic in the race to get a clean time and I kept cutting corners 7 laps and they were all in the 45 seconds bracket.
Best lap time: 45.5xx

conclusion
Both great cars at 440pp but for me I'd take the mini one out every time. Just feels a little more responsive to me suits my driving style.

Other reviews in my own post here

@catusOnR, thanks for the great review. These two mini's are fun to drive, but I know mine does not like the flat tracks. Thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Oh, and Boss, I'll be back in about a month so I went ahead and ordered the kazoos like you asked :). Talk to you when I get back

What? You off trucking with Desperado again? (is that what both of you do? I can't quite remember……)

Yep, doing a really long haul(s) for money for the holidays. But I'll keep in touch here on GTP (might even run into Desperado on my travels :) )

Yo know him in person? If you didn't, imagine if you two met in some random truck stop off  Invite your truck friends on GTP, make it your place, you're most welcome

We should have a GTP truckers federation, have a little GTP sticker on the side of your truck so you can be identified as a GTP user :D

Nope, I don't know him in person, but I like idea of the GTP truckers federation :D. That would be cool!

 We have to get Dylans1o or SlipztrEm to do the logo, and then you'll spot GTP truckers from all corners of the state! :D

Good luck on the road krenkme and if you get out to Oregon give me a shout and we'll get together.

@Onboy no I'm not a truck driver. Me and my jeep deliver the local papers 7 days a week. I have a rural route with an average of 300 deliveries and 100 miles morning over everything from well maintained highways to dirt and gravel tracks. I like to think of it as my version of a rally with a lot of stages and a time limit.:D

Closest I'll get (as of right now) is Butte, Montana, and that's not close at all. Maybe someday
Rally racing with a lot of stages :) I like that! I guess mine could be an enduro with some naps every 10 to 12 hours :D

@Cactus
Thanks for the great reviews too, appreciate it and it a good little read. Shame they wernt capable enough of winning all the races though, but ohwell.👍

@Krenkme
Ok pal see you in a month or so. Take care and drive safe.
Peace.

A better driver probably would have won with out any trouble mate.
I'm pretty sure it was my driving skills that were lacking, not the cars abilities.

Glad you were happy with the review mate.

Hey boss, have you checked out the new Supercar Nostalgia seasonal? I think we should post some tunes for it. I have a '63 Corvette and a Miura I can post tonight. The 'Vette is set up to be a challenge. I caught the last Miura on the last corners of Rome. I need to test the other tracks and put the finishing touches on it tonight. The Miura will destroy the competition on race tires but can be tuned down for some closer racing.

Anyone else looking for a good tune for the new seasonal? Any requests? Looking for a challenge or to blow the doors off the competition?
