Well…if a spoon is not allowed, I can try a fork, or a knife :D

...No.

I don't know if I'll be able to participate in this shootout...it's not really on my mind that much so I probably won't end up entering.

@ Digitalbaka - In the OP youre not down as a tester or tuner. So you might want to em get on that .

Indeed! Timber, you can add me in as a tuner. 👍

Still getting used to the track but making good progress to be done on time....I think. :scared:

Online physics are really strange. I don't understand.

With 4WD Subaru i'm offline 3'40" and 3'39"800 Online, with a clear superior front grip in this configuration.

With the Evora MR i'm low 3'39"100 offline can go 38" but i have to make a perfect lap to run 3'41"200 online. Less front grip than offline.

Does anybody have the same experience than me ? If yes , the shootout that have to be race Online will have only 4WD ???
The lotus is fantastic to drive, i would like to share this sensation with the testers in the shootout , i'm tired to present only 4WD everytime, but i think that if i want to make good , i will have to go with one another time ,again. :indiff::guilty:

It's not just you Praiano. Every time I go online, my 4WD and FWD cars feel less understeery and end up 1-2 second faster. With RWD, I end up 2-4 seconds slower because of the increased oversteer and I have to adjust for that to bring the difference down to 1-2 seconds.

I'm sticking with my NSX though. I'm not arsed if it means I don't score highly, I'm just enjoying the fact this shootout lets me drive a car I love on a track that's unique and interesting. :D:tup:

You're right, i need to race with my MR , for the sport, and the sensation...... Great car, i'm shure i can go low 3'38" offline. Let's drive.:)

Yeah, that's the very reason why I drive the MR2 G-Limited for LotS even though there are much better cars out there. Really for the sensation like what you said!

Slowly tweaking it every season though, hopefully one day, it'll be able to compete with the top tier cars.

I'm glad I'm practicing the track with my stock evora then. It'll be good practice for driving the slippery mr cars:D

Had a riot with a Honda CR-Z '10. Unfortunately the close ratio 6 speed has you bouncing off the rev limiter way to much and the stock transmission goes the opposite direction killing acceleration in favor of a top end you'll never get close to. Thinking that even with bouncing off the rev limiter the car could be semi-competitive using the close ratio due to its exceptionally quick acceleration out of corners.

Hope Spec II actually fixes the transmissions so indicated top speed in upper right corner actually matches the attainable speed of the car within a couple miles per hour. I know they supposedly already patched this but I'm still seeing 10+ mph differences between actual top speed and indicated top speed.:(

The thing about 4WD I think is the tyre wear. From the battles I watched, it seems that 4WDs wears out tyres a lot quicker than RWDs.

3 laps are ok for any cars i think, but those 2 last battles:

Battle 2: Cat & Mouse Sudden Death
Battle 3: Cat & Mouse Sudden Death

Does it means you race X laps till one loose ??? and if they stick together all the time , the tires will decide????

Yes, X laps till one lose. Our record so far is 11 laps on 450PP. I think it was FR vs FR. That was about 30mins to 40mins of battle.

Yes, Tyres and Concentration will decide.

In testing online with an R32 skyline I managed to rip a set of Tyres up in 4 laps I think it was.
Think I may need to address my driving style.
It was the front tyres that went first, found myself unable to turn on the last lap.

My tyres went on my 3rd lap  This track hates tyres to the extent that it'll rip them off a car's rim :D

Very true mate.
I'm really enjoying the track but it's hard work.

Yes, I learnt from the A-Spec endurance race that even tyre wear between the front and rear is really important to keep the car performing predictably.

Totally agree with you.
I was on lap 4 front tyres were at about a 1/4 left and the rears at about a half. So they wouldn't have been the end of the world on a easier track but on here it was about 20 second slower than my fast lap.
Looking forward to getting out on the track again soon.

Two days until deadline, so I'm going to withdraw I'm afraid. I've had no time to put together anything even remotely decent and I can't promise the time as a driver either.

Sorry...:indiff:

Two days to for tuner sign up. Another week available to tune. =)

Was that 4 laps including warm up? Or actually 5 laps?

Good point it may have been 5 then. can't be sure.
I'll get then to last longer once I can remember the breaking points and I don't slide across the track so much locking the front wheels and drifting sections of the track didn't help too much either.

Rgr that. I'll rescind my withdrawal until after the weekend then, see if I can't cobble something together.

PS - A crisis in faith is largely to blame, I'll try to get all my s:censored:t into one sock in the meantime...

Found another car to use that I think is better than the Celica I first tried. Also tried out the track and got a 3:59 first time in the Celica and a 4:07 in my better feeling car...to be honest I'd much rather have something that feels good but isn't fast than a fast car that doesn't feel good.

If you don't mind, can you remove me from the entrants list again? I won't be tuning until the update comes :P
