Sorry, i mean TZ250, not 125......
:guilty:

play other parts of TT for a bit and when you go back to it, you'll wonder why u found it so difficult, allways works for me:) practice on getting good exit speed out of the chicane thats where youll make most time up. I find it easy to complete now. you can do it, dont let it get you down.

Thanks for the captures franz ;)👍!

those pics look beyond belief. i just called gamestop.shipping today and arriving tomorrow at 5 locations round me. and im not too far from a big city. so ill be pissed if someone else gets it today...:)

Anyone in the US have the game yet. I went to a couple places and they didn't have it. Guess I got there too early. Too bad I gotta work nights :( I'll probably get it tomorrow morning.

I am wondering if the Japanese version has the bike description page as well?
because my chinese version TT doesn't have the paperclip icon
now I can expand my knowledge for each bikes with US version 👍

None of the stores around me have it yet either. Same thing happened with GT4 though, I didn't get until about 4:00 on release day. I'm going to keep calling the stores and see if they get any today.

Just some random stuff... Not to bring up another game, but I hope that elements from "Tourist Trophy" find their way into GT5, especially the Info. I would love to either rent this game or play a demo (if any) of it. Now that it's officially out in the States, I'd like to be able to play this game. The interface seems a lot like Gran Turismo 4 than its own game. It is a bit like GT3 compared to GT Concept. I will still find it pretty fun.

I do wish there could have been more motorcycles on the track at once than just four. Bikes don't normally have serious polycounts in games, so that's why you see so many. However, the detail in Tourist Trophy on the bikes is incredible. Just look at the quality of the bikes in Franz's Post #449 and ALPHA's Post #453. Isn't that something? I do feel like PD's been a little politically correct in calling that black color as "Kick Ash Translucid," when we will probably think it's "Kick Ass Translucid." But if it's not a politically correct deal, set me straight. I think it's up to me whether or not to think that four bikes is too few. I WILL consider the amount of detail and polycounts in my judgment.

Check out this Ducati: http://www.ducati.com/scoopage.jhtml?area=promo&scoopNum=037

This bike is a one-off commemorating Ducati's 200th win in the highest form of motorcycle racing, MotoGP. British rider Neil Hodgson was the one who put Ducati at the double century mark at Monza back on 5/8/2003. It is a nice one-off you could own. It was a limited run, however. I'm actually surprised they got in Ducati and even Aprilia. I always thought they were more like sought after motorcycles much like most exotic cars are. These bikes even feature tiny lights on them.

That's something I always wondered. How come they don't use side mirrors or functional lights (except for the endurance racing superbikes like in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Moto)? Regardless, this seems to be a nice collection of bikes. I'll keep Googling up the bikes in this list to see what they look like.

I'd sure like to play this game someday.

The Yamaha YZF-R6 is one you should look into. The Suzuki Hayabusa too. Not sure if it still is, but was the fastest production road bike at one time.

my brother had the unrestricted hayabusa over 200mph, his new one is restricted. special edition all black , was hoping that was the special colour for the hayabusa in TT but it was gunmetal grey:(. just checked his is 04 model and tourist trophy's is 05

Nice!
Never seen a black Hayabusa on the road. In fact, I've only ever seen 4.

If I dare say, the Suzuki Hayabusa is a pretty beautiful bike. I'll have to do more reading. Meanwhile, want to learn how to scare neighbors? Well, check out this motorcylce company's weapons:

http://www.marineturbine.com/motorsports.asp

This is MTT Turbine Superbike. It was told to have clocked in at 227 mph. It is also the most expensive at $150K. You can read the specs on these turbine-powered superbikes at the site I provided. They pack 320hp at 52,000 rpm (286hp at the rear wheels) and 425 lb. ft. of torque at 2,000 rpm. Mean little bastard, isn't it? Kind of a dream bike to think about for Tourist Trophy 2. Since this is sort of a new franchise, we'll have to think about more different race types and bikes for the series. For now, thank you for your reading.

I think racing tracks like Citta di Aria (or especially that track) will be a bit easier since bikes are lighter and more agile. There's even better chances of passing with bikes than with cars at Citta di Aria.

FOR THE MODS:

Just wanted to say a few things. Is it possible to get a sub forum for all the photo related stuff. People are posting galleries in the main forum and along with all the other random stuff, it's making this a mess already. I'm sure the photo stuff will develope into Photo Comps as well. Any chance of having the same sub forums as GT4??

Just want to flash across the official Tourist Trophy site: http://www.us.playstation.com/Content/OGS/SCUS-97502/Site/

Some of the music I heard on this site are pretty cool. The electronica is wonderful, especially from Sun Paulo. I normally don't admit to being a rock music fan. Having said that, the mellow rock tunes by Kasai are very nice. Kasai's melody in the songs kind of has a beach style tone to them, much like Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville stuff. There is some pretty cool music in this game. I'll likely enjoy riding these two-wheel terrors and listening to some tunes while enjoying the thrill of riding a wild motorcycle.

How many of you are actually surprised that Ducati is in Tourist Trophy? Someone on some message board was talking about (indirect quote) "don't bother making Tourist Trophy if you don't put in Ducati." Then someone talked about Sony/PD's failure to pick up licenses much like a certain sports car company. But you know what? I'm actually enticed to race a Ducati in Tourist Trophy. I actually think Tourist Trophy wouldn't be complete without Honda. That's because Honda has so much motorcycle racing history. You can hate Civics and Accords and such, but you can almost never second guess Honda's motorcycle racing success.

I still can't wait to play this game. How about you all?

Looks as if it's going to be at least May before members such as my self see TT in the UK... Out in the US now apparently. Can not wait and the more I look at all the pics some of you guys have up on the board the more I want it!

The bloke from the top of the page is from Scotland and says his brother has it. Page 24, if this goes on the next page.

This game is certainly something special. When you aren't really fond of a style of machine or a style of racing but love a game based on that style of machine or racing, that's saying something. Only motorcycle racing I can admit being a fan of is the MotoGP World Championship series. I consider MotoGP's World Championship as the Formula One of motorcycle racing simply because it is a contest of the very best motorcycles from the very best companies. You have world-class talent from Italian Valentino Rossi to American standout (and whom I highly respect) Nicky Hayden. I guess I'm sold on Honda's racing history in motorcycles. Their success as more than an automobile company was with motorcycles. They are still good in motorcycle racing. I'll be sure to take Honda seriously in the field of motorcycles in Tourist Trophy.

Samberto had a little picture featuring five motorcycles from the 8 Hours of Suzuka. I am usually sold on racing bikes, because that's how you make a name for yourself if you have a superbike or a sport bike. Tourist Trophy will need a few extra courses very popular with motorcycle racing. Many of the real circuits have been raced on by superbikes and sport bikes. The ones I can think of where I've seen motorcycles race include the following:

Sears Point/Infineon Raceway
Twin Ring Motegi (Full Road Course)
Laguna Seca
Valencia
Suzuka

A number of people will probably wish for some more popular courses where bikes race. You all talk about Nürburgring Nordschleife and the Manx TT, what about one of the most popular motorcycle racing courses- Assen? The Assen TT is one of the most prestigious Grand Prix races I know of. This Dutch race course (more information at: http://www.etracksonline.co.uk/Europe/assen02.html , official site at: http://www.tt-assen.com/ ) has hosted motorcycle racing for a long while. It would be great for a Tourist Trophy sequel, if PD wants to continue the franchise. I still await my turn to play Tourist Trophy. That's why I'm reserving my judgment until I actually play or own the game.

BIG update here! I'm going to talk about my Tourist Trophy experience when I played this game at a GameCrazy store (Hollywood Video) on Saturday. So here's how it went...

The first track I raced was Deep Forest. Deep Forest is a tricky track for a car, but almost hell for motorcyclists. I wiped out about four or five laps in a one-on-one race. Closest I got to the other guy was about 1.8 seconds. My fortunes slightly improved as I did Tokyo R246 and Special Stage Route 5. A big reason was because I didn't have to worry about sand traps. Motorcycles are tricky to race in this game. At one point, I was tempted into racing the Ducati 999R. It had a sweet roar to it, plus it's pretty damn sexy, don't you think? I got used to some of the different riding positions. Since my motorcycle knowledge is very limited, I once did the normal setup, then tried the Leaning Forward thing. My biggest hook were the racing bikes. It was pure bliss racing some of these machines, as they are the ultimate in motorcycle racing performance. My sample runs were started off by the Suzuki GSX-R1000. Many of the bikes sound like actual bikes, even if they are a bit like rehashed GT sounds. I'm probably glad there were only four bikes to a track because I can't imagine facing 20 bikes while I'm flying off the track every which way. If I get Tourist Trophy, I'll have to enhance my skills because the casual gamer or GT veteran will find Tourist Trophy to be more like going back to school. The detail on the bikes are amazing. Notice all the different components of a bike visible. You also get to see what it's like to ride the bike at speed when you switch to your rider view. You can note the handlebars as well as the little dash inside. I couldn't find a certain number of rider gear when I started out. I normally like blue colors and red colors. I had racing blood in me, so I wanted to probably avoid the street clothes. Besides, I wanted to save the street clothes for that one bike which looks like one of those cruiser bikes.

Overall, it's a great game and a new experience. This franchise seems to be in the right direction. What PD will need to do is try to put more bikes on the track to make competition heated. I can probably say that they can tone down the detail a bit, but not make everything all blurry. I think no less than 8 bikes would be a start. A far-fetched number would be 24 bikes to a track. If you want almost ridiculous, somewhere past 24 bikes would be insane (especially as many bikes that race in the Daytona 250, or whatever it's called. I'm going to give this some love. (Final Verdict: 9.00/10.00)

all ive to say is this:

judging by how many times ive failed the ssr5 test but banging my head off the wall im happy i dont ride in real life! ;)

*g* you should see me at Trial Mountain. 1 second I'm railing around through the mountains, the next the bike is still going while the marshalls are scraping me off the side of the mountains :nervous:

This game may pretty much require some training beforehand. In fact, don't even race when you start out. Just do Time Trial runs in Arcade Mode. Get to feel the bike in the corners. Remember. Ride a bike like a car and you're not going to win races. You have to brake early and try to power through the coners with small throttle bursts.

We may all need some work before taking this thing on.

Just wondering, dunno if this has been mentioned yet, but has anyone in the EU/UK pre-ordered TT yet? I'm really annoyed that once again we are the last to get it, and I'm just looking at the GAME website thinking about preordering it.

Hi, been using the gear ratio acceleration codes from the codejunkies site, much more realistic acceleration times, was using x3 and gsxr 600rr was doing 0-60mph in around 2.8 secs, dont know what they do in real life, just over 3 I would expect, so maybe 2x setting will be more realistic. also was wondering if increasing it to 8x will make it easier to do burnouts, was doing some with it on x3.

Everytime I have preordered a game from GAME I have recieved it on the Thursday before the official Friday release. Which in my book, is pretty cool.
