It seems fresh news.

A wonderful find!

Another point of note is that the speedometers are reading in MPH. I would suggest that we’ll be seeing an NTSC/A release shortly after the NTSC/J release on Dec 31st. As for PAL…

If you look at the Tsukuba trackmap you'll see it's the bike version of the track, it figures really! This is looking awesome, apart from the 2 bike grids :grumpy:.

EDIT: I was able to export the background images from the .swf files. All the images and screenshots on the Tourist Trophy site are available from the playfrance pages, so there's no need for printscreens!

Nice work Hayden. 👍 As LM was modelled for GT4, we can also be reasonably certain that Bugatti will surface.

So, no horses and horse tracks like Ultrabeat once suggested ?????? 💡 Only bikes. :dopey:

Well, think about it, all that motion of the rider and stuff, its not gonna have more than 2 bikes on the track, like GT4 couldnt have more than 1 convertible on track etc.

I doubt that. They have to put at least 6 bikes at the track, otherwise the game will suck for racing.

But then again, it says "The Real Riding Simulator". :scared: :indiff:

I think its a marketing ploy, like GT concept, i mean, it came out of no-where, playable version in like 1 month of announcment..not a well thought of game.

I'm sure the programmers have been fiddling with code for years but never bothered releasing it. I hope it'll be slightly more than GT4 on 2 wheels though. Need a few new courses. But I'm afraid this will just be another cash in GT modification.

Games dont just come out of no where, they are kept under wraps until a pubisher/developer is ready to reveal it.

Plus, they´re clearly using GT4's engine, so that's a lot of time spared already. They just need to add some new tracks, lot of bikes, tweak the phisics... and there you go. :)

Two more from the video that can be added to the list.
Honda CBR1000RR 2005 (00:19)
Suzuki GSX-R 750 2005 ( 00:25)

Precisely the point I was making. :)

It's still a disappointment though. GP500 on the PC years ago could do large grids (20+?), each rider animated and various trimmings such as the exhaust note of the bike changed depending on how hard the rider was gassing it.

Perhaps the GT4 engine is much more detailed and visually impressive, but we've seen the visual sparkle in the replays. Does anyone really see anything that's more than a few centimeters away from the racing line (after the first few races, that is)?

If it's to be a riding simulator then you'd want roads to be modelled out (a la GTA, but in countryside, not in a city) where you can free-ride around country lanes. If it's to be a racing sim then it needs more than one opponent. Aside from drag strip racing and the world rally special stages, what racing has only two competitors?

Finally, if they wanted an idea for TT2 they should look at hill climbing. Could make for interesting Coffee Break courses.

Yes, you are right they worked at least 3 years on it.
This files are on the GT Concept gamedisc under the bike folder!:

It’s important to note that the YZR500 is a former Moto-GP bike. We can now be reasonably certain that pure racers will feature in the game. It will also be interesting to see if PD implement off road riding. Tahiti Maze on a motocross bike…:scared:

Could it go online..?? That would we awesome! I was reading the first page a bit, and it looks hot! So, when is this coming out in Europe?

We now have a Tourist Trophy forum, this thread should be moved there.
