This is now officially the most stunning car I have ever seen. I thought a car in terms of detail couldn't get any more perfect than the LF-A, but this is just yet another leap by Toyota yet to be matched. In red I had to get used to it, but in graphite it just couldn't look any better:

It looks like TVR designed it ! I like it.

Love it when Japanese performance icons are reborn. I'm a huge fan of the NSX and GT-R, hope the new Supra is also able to deliver too!

I won't be suprised if it makes a cameo in Fast & Furious 18

I owe you a 10 second car.

Pop the hood.

Pop the hood?

Pop the hood!.....

A FT1's 3JZ V6TT engine, no 🤬!

I'll take back my previous statements.

If there's one thing BMW nail almost every time it's the engine. I'm no Beemer guy, but I'm all for a good BMW engine on Toyota tech. As far as legit Toyota sports cars go, I think there's yet to be a bad one.

I wouldn't tell BMW to get lost, they are making the best Straight-Six engines on the market right now.
From the looks of it, it looks like they are the only ones making performance I6s nowadays as well.

Why wouldn't you want BMW to co-develop the car? What sporty cars does Toyota make currently? GT86. What's BMW making? M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, i8, etc.

Which they just replaced with an i4 in the latest update.

Oh right, then BMW are the only firm with I6 engines right now. I've read reports that Mercedes and Jaguar are developing new engines using that architecture though.

How I imagine the next Supra: Turbo i6 out of the M2 coupled with Toyota's hybrid system and the M4's DCT transmission.

The M3 and M4 are pretty much the same. And to be honest I'd take an M3 over an M4 all day, every day. The M6 is absolutely hideous, and the i8 isn't that fast for a 150,000 euro car.

I think you've forgotten the LFA as well, and the IS-F, and the RC-F, and the upcoming LC-F. Not to mention the LFA arguably has one of the best engines ever made.

I'm not against the co-development with BMW, but if they can make the best V10 engine ever, they can probably make one hell of an i6 as well. In my opinion the FT-1 should be the Supra. Throw a BMW engine in there if you want, but for God's sake don't throw away that design.

Speed is not the priority of the i8. If anything, it is an image-building vehicle showcasing 'the sports car of the future' and that plug-in hybrid cars can be exciting. Besides, it also makes more sense in urban areas compared to conventional performance cars within its price range.

I hope not or we will have to send the RAF to Germany. lol
What's worse is that 5.0 will have to go. So no more F Type sound! MF-Type!
However those are just rumors. Jaguar developed many smaller more modern Ingenium engines. I have nothing against smaller V8 in F Type if Jaguar develops it.

Keep it British.

I'm happy that the Supra is being co-developed with BMW, since almost all of Toyota's cars made in the past 10 years weren't exactly exciting. (I'm excluding Japan only models)
