Great event tonight, loved the weather changes and tire choises!!

Single car event sounds good too Alexi, hope i have the time to search for some nice cars for this...and i think stock would be the best choise ,as its easyer(quicker) for everyone to get on tearms with the car and track!

See you all soon,

Spy.

Fear not everyone! For I have the all the regs you need for the next days racing!
These puppies will put hair back on your chest and a woman in your arms...

Cars are all stock with NO tuning on sports softs
(oh no you cry... That's to much MAN for me, fear not)
the cars braking points are a fraction earlier (and I mean, a FRACTION) to what I was doing in the Ferrari on Tuesday, and go less than a second faster than that prancing horse.

The ACR runs at 618HP, 1552kgs with a small aero package
Corvette runs at 649HP, 1508kgs with no aero. (both cars topped with fresh oil)

The ACR is surprisingly tame and consistent (1'31.5)
The vette is just awesome and likes to wag it's tail and pull on the straights... Though essentially harder to drive, and partially more hard on it's tyres... it will reward you with lap speed (1'31.4)

I lapped the vette 1 tenth faster than the ACR. So we're game for some battling

One of the action pictures from Wednesday mid week break.

GTP_TwistyBits – GTP_Spyrrari1 in the two 300SL coupe Merc and myself GTP_Eriba lights blazing in the Jaguar E-Type in persuit.

This great track designed by turboanto with its rolling hills was a fitting place to try out some wet weather fun racing as a mid week break, the rain, wheel spray and the misty look to the hill side was a typical setting of British weather.

The dull look that has been captured by PD in GT5 is just what it would look like or very close to in real life, in testing which I must have spent some 20 hours or more with planning, car matching, thread posting, putting TCR on the calendar, was all worth doing even hosting the room for 7.5 hours yesterday for the enjoyment of the members, was all worthwhile.

I know that you can’t as the old saying goes, you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all the people all of the time. With the track I was given plus the car that was requested to be used, the event did not turn out to bad at all.

Thanks to all that did support with the two cars, which I might add were very closely matched in handling and lap times, the tyre choice was spot on for the changing conditions.

Phillip.

Yesterday saw a fantastic event put up by Phil, thanks again! 👍
Gotta love the British weather ...

Can't wait to drive tonight with the all stock cars. I agree with Spy and Tiggles that it is more equal and easier to get into the action.

But then again, I'm no tuning wizard, so no offence to the people who are great in getting a setup to work. (You know who you are ...;))

Race on!

Same with me Cobani, both my cars for the event were stock after installing the upgrades to bring the cars equal.

All I did was turn down the E-Type using the engine power limiter till the two cars were lapping at the same times, all the settings were still at the default settings in the option menus.

I find with me when I start messing with them all I manage to do is mess things up, :grumpy: more often than not if it’s driveable I leave well alone.

Even then I was still hitting 1’39s in the dry and the one recorded time I did save in the wet was 1’44.769 all done with no tunning.

Cool, I'm loving this Sam, but I want to simplify it by just using the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR '08.

There is a twist though. Tonight and tomorrow we'll be using it stock. Saturday and Sunday we'll be upping the HP and reducing the weight to add a bit off spice.

I hope that's ok

👍

Phil, great start to your Wednesday nights. I want to drive in the rain all the time now.

Cobani, nice to see you've been papping us again!

What a gentlemens club TCR has become. The quality of racing you guys produce is second to none. Thank you to all as the entertainment I get from TCR brings the biggest smile to my face when racing you ladies and gentlemen.

Hey all, having arrived rather late to the party at the ripe age of 41, and my first PS3 and a copy of GT5, I'm looking to join a club to get the most out of this amazing game.
I have played offline for a month or so and have reached A spec 25. Although in truth I feel a little more like 2.5 tbh!
I keep meaning to get online but it can be a little daunting reading all the online rules and regs that clubs seem to have, especially the warnings system in place etc.
From the info on the first post TCR sounds like a good fit and the GMT time zone is perfect.
If youre willing to put up with a total noob for a bit, I would like to join and see how I get along.

Hey Matty

Some of us don't bite.

Got a tax bill to pay that gave me a flippin heart attack, so I'll be working for another hour or 2 :(

S2000 R1 Titan in a matt orange with full engine rebuild and body rigidity up for grabs tonight for the fastest race documented lap time. I need proof this time.

Great racing last night. Thanks for the event! 👍

Are we racing on stock Vipers or all out 1000+ bhp machines? Nevermind

Thanks for the update Stiggs. Who's got the time so far?

Looks like captain_tiggles with a 1'30.818

Secret....

1'30.818... Racing is awesome people, move it on over

So far we have a...
black w/red strip
orange
yellow
blue
& purple

Remember to give the Viper an oil change. 631bhp is the limit. The stock w/out oil change only produces around 580bhp.

1'30.483 is as fast as I'm going today... No draft, lap two of a race. I can verify if you want, I think. I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS TIME!

(though I think a 1'30 dead is possible with a wheel)

Wont be able to join tonight, working till 3 am... :ouch:

Tomorrow hopefully i'll have more luck, have fun chaps 👍
