Excellent racing again tonight with some very healthy grids, thanks all 👍

Jon, I've shared the track you requested for testing. Cheers!

I’ve just picked out from a number of races the members that ran the fastest laps, these also ran in other races throughout the night, but these were the fastest lap times I seen recorded.

You are more than welcome to enter your own fastest lap times, which are encouraged along with the best photo shot of your well turned out Roadster you can find.

These picture and times will be entered into the proposed and past combos thread, along with the relevant combo for that week.

GTP_Prudentbear running the fastest lap in this race with very little track time and still putting in an impresive 1'26.034

GTP_Alexi breath taking 1'25.768 in the draft of Sam on lap 5 of this race, but hey that racing.

ps just noticed, you won't see it often the old codger in the 1'26s just lol.

Captain_tiggles for the second time of the night into an impresive 1'25.770

From the replays I have, it looks like GTP_Alexi took the top spot on over all fastest lap by a cats whisker, with a time of 1’25.768 but there is another day to go yet, come on guys polish up them wheels see if you can grab that top spot.

Phillip.

Alexi, what are those colors? Classic Mazda awesomeness! The closest I have got to that is Matte Light Green + Papaya Orange (few pics of that here).

Sorry for OT'ing guys! :) And btw I keep following the thread, just can not find the time to fiddle with a new car tune every week :/

Nice to know you follow the thread Simon, under the new format there will be weeks wereby its default, or maybe just part tuned, plus a fun and relaxation night mid week on a Wednesday only.

Would be nice to have you visit from time to time, that is if you can find the time. 👍

Phillip.

Great stuff there Phil, although my fastest lap was using Sam's draft.
Best free air lap was 1.25.981, but I'm pretty sure I can scrape a mid 25 in free air now.

Last night was a blast, until my wife demanded that she wanted to watch TV, then immediately fell asleep watching it.
How does that phrase go? Women, you can't live with them and you probably can live without them, but you would die from eating take-aways every night.
Something like that anyway.

Not sure what colour I used Simon. I just randomly choose a green for the body and yellow for the wheels, it's become my look now.
In fact, I'm getting a new helmet soon, which will have the same colour combination. Any ideas how to make this design better?

Also, don't worry about finding a tune, I never tune my car myself, I just pilfer them from the tuning threads or fellow TCR members. I recommend this tune - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showth...27#post6429927
Put aero on full, HP on full, then add the weight you need to get down to 510pp (around 70-80kg) and then shove all that weight to the back. It's a sweet drive.

If you don't like that , there are more tunes here - https://sites.google.com/site/gt5tune/dlc
That link has tunes for lots of cars, so save it!

Sorry to disappear early last night guys, I was obviously very rusty and way off the pace, not to mention ruining several peoples races through my clumsy driving :( When everyone took a break, I decided it was time to leave before I got too frustrated with myself.

Nect week I'll hopefully spend some time practising the track first so I can be a bit more competitive.

Don't be silly dude! It's a pleasure to have you round.

I'll be opening a room soon, to muck about with my set-up in a bid to try and catch up with Sam's and Enrico's blistering lap times.

Phil, thanks for putting TCR in the calendar.
Let's hope it brings us some more racers!

Room open: 1472-6118-4259-7714-2297

Pb down to 1.25.776, will post video later, unless I break it again.

Dam that bear, prudent has just hot a 25.772 lol.

Ok prudent has just smashed it with a 1.25.359. Craziness!!!

I have a pb of 1.25.672, :(

And now rutter has just done a 1.25.163, wow, the bare has been raised somewhat.

my fastest time of the week ended at a 1'24.9, Rutter went all the way down to a 1'24.7. Really he was just a cut above anything I could offer...

Random thing that kept happening was my grid starting position. Not once was I on the front row, even if I qualified with the fastest time... One time even dead last. Bit of a down buzz, but loved the track!

thanks everyone

Those are some impressive lap times.I haven't had much track time this week so I'm happy with my 1:26.08. and it was in my brothers rig. And Stiggs I'm glad you enjoyed the track I've been so busy I haven't even had time to make a track to top that one. But I have a few stashed away. I enjoyed Gary's as it is nice, wide and flat so hopefully I can get some track time tomorrow.

First of all sorry I was not able to get back on last night, after going out for dinner with the family I came home so cold to the bone (damn health condition) I went to bed just to get warmed up, that’s where I stayed till 10am this morning.

These reported times by Prudentbear, Rutter, tiggles and others are outstanding, I hope they post their picture, replays, or something along with their times to help keep the post count up for this thread. I will add them to for want of a better word (hall of fame) on the sister thread here.

I like this idea random grid spots, would let the slower guys (cough) have half a lap of fame before they get eaten. Make the faster guys work harder for their glory, any fast member can get out front from pole have the track all to themselves and win the race, just like hot lapping so why have a race, threading yourself through the pack like a needle, showing off your fantastic driving skills, now that has to be an addiction for anyone. Once that adrenalin rush kicks in on lap 4 and 5 as you get every closer to hunting down that last guy in front.

Food for thought.

I'll be on later for testing, get this Angie is out tonight for her Christmas doo

Phillip.

I don't know how you guys missed such wise words?

anyway. I ran my car like this to a 1'25.771 with short running.

Thanks Sam :D, its a shame I couldn't race you guys in the weekend. Seems like the times improved across the board 👍. Should have been good competition :).

Objection! :P

In my head muddled grids create a messy open lap and gives huge field spread for short races. At least with smaller cars, where everyone's pace is up at the front... If the front runners runners race the front runners, they get a close battle the whole way. Just like if the midpack gets the same action. I like my racing hierarchal god dammit! haha... Just my thoughts

You should be use to it now after random grid spots

Besides with your class you'll be at the front within two laps

Thanks for the races last night, was good to be back, although its painful having a few weeks out and then racing you guys!

So I finished my assignment and I have an idea!!!

Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 (pp574) VS Viper SRT10 ACR '08 (pp579)

Those pp values are there stock settings as seen in the dealership

:)

Here it is what you've all been waiting for the first mid week Wednesday special break.
The track will be downloadable from turbonato and Dranddad (GTP_Eriba) GTP_Alexi GTP_Joylord.
So here it is for one night only Wednesday 25th

TCR @ GT-Park E-Type & 300SL coupe.
Track designed by turbonato

This track set in the rolling hills its prone to the rogue downpour, race was postponed due to the heavens opening up at mid day, there could be still a fair bit of standing water and I would not rule out another sudden downpour during the race, hopefully not enough to bring out the yellow flags..

The weather could clear up for some good classic racing with warm sunshine, but be warned its notorious here for rain, it could come back at anytime.

Come armed with Sport Soft’s & Intermediates or wets Only.

It could be very unpredictable here in the hills, so you’ll have to talk to your pit crew about tyre choice

Please do not use RH, RM, RS tyres

Wednesday fun & relaxation (requested event)

Two cars Full Tune no Aero / Turbo

E-type 361hp – 1038kg – 495pp (use engine power limiter)
300SL 378hp - 1077kg - 492pp

Historic Race day using the

A late change to the details its ok to use any colour if you wish.

Black E-type Jag ’61 but as that may be hard to come by White Merc 300SL Coupe ‘54

Love him or hate him Jacko was an icon in the music world

Black Or White is the song and also the theme
Michael Jackson tribute

It Don't Matter if you’re Black Or White
It's Black, It's White
It's Tough For You
To Get By
It's Black, It's White, Whoo

If you can bring both cars that would be great, as I would like to run half the field in the Black E-type and half in the white 300SL coupe, number of races in one then to be fair a number of races in the other.

I hope you’ll all come along and support me on a Wednesday that is if you can find the time in your personal lives.

This will be run on the same track GT-Park, so no need to learn a new track, but we’re not counting out using new tracks in the future.

Room setting will be the same except PP will be set to 495pp

Phillip.

Tha colours may change I'll update post with more news.

Gentleman or Playboy?

Park your roadster and find yourself a track day car that weighs in at 1350kg and has 400bhp. Typically this type of car would be found at track days for the filthy rich, so are you a Gentleman or a Playboy?

richtrackday.jpg

Here's the track we'll be using, it's a peach created by Dave (jon's brother), so I guess track building is in their genes.

Nice pick Alexi.

I would love to be a playboy, but I just can’t break the habit of being a gentleman.

This is looking absolutely fabulous if I don't say so myself. Posh I tell you. Will do everything in my power to be there. Thanks gents it looks like an awesome show and well done.

It is an awesome show! Not been on in a couple of weeks, but it's great to be back on racing with you guys. Started slow but caught up to the pace and beat the fastest time in the final race we had. I think I hit a 1:32.4, but reckon thats beatable. Catch you all tomorrow at some point.

I'm going to take a stab and say this will be an NSX and R8 stand off?.. lol, might keep my hopes up and bring out the old F40!.. Or maybe find a new ferrari of some kind
