Traction Control 1.05 patch problem

/\ Exactly, my kids dont use it, but when I got a G27, I use that feature to church up the boys DFGT so they dont feel like they have a lesser wheel then dad. As well I have mentioned to friends, boy will I be livid the day one of them asks about it again and it is still crippled. Makes me look like fool really :(
 
USA- using DS3- button mappings are intact and fine- lost the ability to adjust TCS.

As suggested by others, I think the issue is related to both the 1.05 update and racing in an online lobby with TCS disabled.

My theory is that the patch contained code to limit players ability to turn the aid on in races where the aid was restricted (actually a bug fix for something folks had been exploiting) and PD fubared the patch as the new code permanently disables the option in all races.

I wanted to add that in some of the Special Events Traction Control and other driving assists were turned off. But before the 1.05 patch I could adjust all of my settings on the fly. Thereby "CHEATING" the game. I think that this is why the option to adjust your driving assists on the fly was deactivated in patch 1.05.

Has anyone else experience this phenomenon?

WRONG, MINE'S STILL WORK! 1.05 MESSED up with SAVEDATA... IF you go ON-LINE - which I know everyone want to check for EXP and $$ from on-line - While TCS and AMS are BANNED, it will write over on your SAVEDATA, then you can't use it anywhere in GT LIFE!

HERE is the Video showing it WORK then going on-line where TCS banned, then going back to SAME race as before, it disable! Now case closed!


NOTE: I ran backup before doing this, when that glitch happen, I reload save and it's work again.

Hey guys having this problem now. Happened today for the first time. Ive given this thread a quick glance.

I patched my game to 1.05 ages ago so I dont think this problem has been caused by updating for me personally. Also today I loaded the game and the only racing I did was the seasonal events. After I entered the first event I couldnt use my ra dial to adjust the traction control. However I can still adjust the tc before the event is driving settings.

This is now effecting all my cars and all races in a spec and practice mode. I have not tried online yet.

Anyone got a solution to fix this as its very annoying.

You can use it in arcade mode last I checked, which was last week.
I have not tried today.

Have you tried arcade mode?

that's only place you can use, because it's not link with GT LIFE. (EDIT above Post, Thank you)

All I can say you have 2 choice:

Start new game then avoid on-line at all cost (if you want to play on-line, back up save before you do!)
OR
Hope Patch 1.06 fix it.

PD didn't block TCS for cheater or any reason! However it did blocked in FEW race such as Top Gear Lotus. if it blocked in setting, it will be blocked in game also. same for Licence.

My kids got their PS3 on the 25th and right away it was updated as well GT5 went in and updated. So now before they started to play the game updated and then they begin to play. When they started the TCS and all worked.

Worked all the way up to when they joined my nephews private lobby. Which he had TCS and all blocked. . .. they had been in my lobby(two ps3's same house) where I knew from this thread to not block anything or it would cripple that feature. Which three times in my lobby and it worked, one trip into the blocked lobby and it was crippled.

IT IS ONLINE CAUSING IT! I got irrefutable proof here people. Not guess, I even told my son not to enter any lobby but mine cause this could happen. Soon as I seen him in that room, I called my nephew and asked if he blocked TCS, sure enough. Made my kids back out and go to a race and try the RA. It was BROKE. Worked earlier that day, I used it on a race they asked me to do for them.

i got the game the day it came out i pre ordered it. all the options in the ra menu worked until the version was updated to 1.05 so about almost 2 weeks. the menu even worked until i played in someones online lobby where they changed the rules between races and that was immediately where i encountered a problem with this issue, and of course the issue carried over to gt life after that. im going to start a new profile on my ps3 and start the game from scratch and see if it works, ill even go so far as to clear the entire play-station of its updated memory and load the game offline and see if it works once again.

ill post back and let you all know what i find.

No progress mate but if we keep this thread active HOPEFULLY Polyphony will catch wind of this issue and fix it in a future patch ... :banghead:
 
I have a DFGT and TCS, ASM and something else if greyed out, but ABS and the brake biases work fine.
 
Not really reinstalled the game but i created a new user on my ps3 and booted up gt5. Tried the ra dial and it works fine.

Don't know why this is.
 
It means PD has to patch it and there is nothing we can do, apart from creating a new user (and thus a new savegame, since it is locked to your PSN)

Oh god. Would this mean the save file is corrupt and the only way to fix this would be to start over? or do you think it could get patched?

I would think its patchable. I mean, something triggered it to stay greyed out, so they would just need to trigger the opposite in the game code somehow.

nobody read my post? the Bug is from On-line where room with BANNED ASM/TCS will disable for whole GT LIFE game, I even showed 2nd youtube to PROVE that! so it's not just Savedata.
 
I am having the same issue as described, no TCS or ASM adjustability while ABS and brake bias adjustments work fine.
 
Yeah, but what about the traction control and asm? If your TC and asm have started to work again let us all know how you did it!

I didn't race online and it happened to me. I think what we are trying to say is what ever happens and what ever way it occurs ie online in your case messes with something in your save data. Thus everytime you load gt5 the problem is still there.

I've been avoiding online race since I started new game. RA Dail still work.
 
I have never been in rooms where TC was disabled, and it still happened to me. So your explaination is missing at least bit MADJT.
