Traction Control 1.05 patch problem

In race adjustable TCS is truly great in high HP cars and I'm only lvl 23 so far but this has a been a HUGE adjustment at this late stage of the game. Don't like having to restart a race a million time until I get the TCS right for that one race. Previously I could just turn the TCS up or down a notch after each turn dialing the car in as the race progressed. I'll deal with it though and still play with the same smile on my face like always. This really is a big deal to all the DFGT people out there and it may be trivial to everyone else but the DFGT people are longing for answers on this topic right now.

Had to chime in on this one too. (BGM bug 1.05, i get no personal music at all) I cant say I know which modes it worked in before patch (i dont Arcade but worked every where else), but since patch the menu RA functionality definitely works less. Often I am in race realizing TCS is wrong. I have to adjust before race every time, which is always different per the car an track, and ive trained myself to use Menu RA now I have to retrain me to not. If I can save all my cars somehow I am willing to delete an restart new GT5 game but that is a horrible pathetic option, very poor execution on PD's part.

To the guys who think this is doing us a favor.... drive 2WD w/900HP, even 600HP, in the rain with no TCS and tell us what a favor is again.

I would recommend waiting, at least until the next update, before considering starting a new game. I'm confident this issue will be patched at some point.

same problem here..i tried creating a new profile/acct. and boom, everything works again as it should.. but i dont want to start from scratch again. i really like this feature on my DFGT and i hope there's still hope!

That's actually quite easy. . . with a wheel.
With a controller? That's probably very difficult.

I have the same issue. UK based.

But it works in my spare profile...

Did something happen when i unplugged ac adapter from wheel and use the DFGT via USB from PS3 to control moving acround GT life screens?

No... the cause of this problem is if you play in an online lobby where tcs is banned the TCS in the RA function menu is blocked out so you cannot adjust it.

But when you go and play a regular race / or another online lobby where TCS is allowed the menu is still blocked out and you still cant adjust it.

It is a bug caused by the new 1.05 patch . the Banned TCS/ASM does not revert back to normal after you leave a room / race where TCS is no longer banned.

My son joined a lobby and crippled theirs. I aint pleased one bit with him. We was aware of the issue and I told him only join my lobby cause I will not turn TCS off and cripple his controller.

He feels like a real idiot right now. And he should, he is 9 and was told and chose to not listen. Hope he enjoys watching his brother play with that X2010 their cousin sent today.

I aint that mean, I will be compelled to let him try it.

I honestly think he thought it was ok to go to his cousins private lobby.......no I do not let my children on open lobbies....NO WAY not till 16 yrs old or older.

I can no longer change TCS on the fly with DFGT wheel it's greyed out in race online / offline, but m8 has same wheel and patch, and his TCS is ok.

WTF PD !!!

Please get this fixed ASAP, I bought this wheel specifically for this game and now the main feature I purchased it for is no longer of use...

Have tried reset all settings , power on off ps3 , remove replace controller from usb everything I can think of..

ABS , brake bias work fine. and actual buttons on wheel work fine.

Just ASM / TCS now greyed out.

I got the same Problem. I used my new Mp4-12c today... You know, new cars always have TCS 5. I forgot to put that off, so I thought "why not changing it during the race?". Yeah, it didn`t worked.

I didn't bother reading through all of the posts so I'll just post my suggestions. Have you tried nuking your cache, deleting your settings file, backing up and restoring your save file, any of these?

yes, i've tried all of these and nothing helped. thanks for the suggestion though

Any word from PD on this yet? I've been away from the forums for a while.

I posted in another thread asking someone to tweet to Kaz with no reply as apparently he is attending a race somewhere but feel free to post in the Kaz tweets thread maybe someone kind enough will tweet to him.

I have the same problem as you do. I was using dualshock 3, and had the RA put to use on a controller (button X).

Only things adjustable are the brakes I think.

However, I borrowed a wheel from a friend (Logitech MOMO). I don't know how to change buttons for that wheel but if I press X on a controller Traction Control is not grayed out anymore 💡

It just feels pointless to change those values while driving with a wheel, since you can keep cars on track no matter what.

Using the controller however I find it more useful to be able adjust those..

If anyone is reading this and is experiencing the issues posted above, please leave a post so that this thread stays active and hopefully PD can catch wind of it.

I have got the same problem with mine after a online race. Has anyone tried contacting logitech as it's not a great advert for them either is it? a bit of corporate backing might make the game developers pull their finger out

I have had the same problem since 1.05 patch. I use the Logitech DFGT and the only thing I can change on the fly is ABS and and front and rear brake bias.

I also started a thread on this issue and received some very rude responses. If you are going to help the "misinformed" then PLEASE do it kindly or keep your opinion to yourself.

I have the logitech g-force wheel. Pre-patch the red dial button worked fine to change all number of things.... sometimes a little too well as it was possible to change settings in race (online) even when those aids were banned.

Now I cannot change anything. I can bring up the list of aids in race, but every single one of them is greyed out... online, offline, anything. So I can't change brake balance on the wheel at all now.
