Traction Control 1.05 patch problem

Just throwing in my bit; same problem, joined an online drift lobby post-1.05 and since then I'm unable to change any settings on the fly barring ABS, F/R power for 4WD's, and brake balance. Going into a race or practice to find TCS has defaulted back to 5 (which is happening a lot though I can't point to specifics right now), and then having to come out of the race and change it in the settings again is a complete pain in the behind.

Edit (random idea): Has anyone tried creating a lobby with all options enabled to see if this fixes the problem? I will, next I'm able.
 
My TCS is also greyed out but brakes balance can be changed im using a DS3 with d-pad buttons for the options
 
That sucks bro, not good at all mate, just be happy you didnt shell out $500 for a g27 to find out that you cant use any of the same features that you can on the cheaper DFGT lol
 
It is no doubt from online lobbies. Its is a glitch/bug. It needs resolved like today.

I personally dont use it, but I did buy the kids a wheel that has the features easily accessible.

For this to be crippled is a real heart breaker, like having a long time friend do you wrong and not even bother to make it right.

PD your breaking our spirits please make this right.


All in all, I would bet the next patch will have this solved. Its a big deal really.
 
Oh my god, what rants some pople are having!!
I am having the same problem to, have not tried re mapping though as did not even know that you could map to ds3. will try that later but guess it will not work from what others have said. The patch must be well over due now, this issue has been going on a while.
 
I'm having the same problem and it started after the first time I went online. I haven't been able to fix it and it's pretty annoying since I forget sometimes to adjust tcs before a race.
 
The problem is patch 1.05.

I deleted my saved game and restarted from scratch with 1.05 patch still installed and voila everything was back to normal. I then reinstalled my save game progress from my USB drive and the same problem was back.

Therefore it has to be Patch 1.05. Hopefully someone from Polyphony will read this and repair this issue in the next update.

i have the same issue it's pretty Annoying that it's doing this.:crazy: i got the wheel mainly for that to adjust on the fly.
 
And here I thought I was going crazy. This just started happening on mine like 2 nights ago. Can still adjust Brakes and AWD but no TCS on the fly... Needs fixed badly
 
I'm having exactly the same problem - in fact I thought it was an intended change of PD since I started playing this game some time in mid-December. The features were all accessible in prologue. I got the DFGT and prologue at the same time and the wheel worked perfectly until now.

I can still change the brake bias or ABS in game though, only TCS and ASM are greyed out.

I don't usually use TCS, yet I must say these on the fly buttons are very useful. Especially for the licence tests where you can't tune your car - where I usually give a front brake bias for easier cornering and shave off that very precious 0.1 second.

Hopefully this can be resolved by some later patch.

i have the same issue with the forcefeed back gt, the ra dial worked with all options, then when it updated to 1.05 only abs and brake balance is available in the ra dial, if i cant figure this out soon i will sell the game and the wheel on ebay because like many others i waited a long time for this game to come out bought the wheel just for this game and i am beyond annoyed i paid for it to work and now due to updates it does not. whats a guy to do? in all honesty it worked fine until i played an online game and that was when i encountered issues and it hasnt worked since.
 
I'm having the same problems as everybody with my DFGT. Noticed this about two days ago and thought maybe it was just the events I was doing at the time. I thought it was some kind of setting at first.
 
Australia here, same problems as everyone else. Except I'm sure it worked for a few days after 1.05 (dont use it that often). Was doing an enduro, thought it might be nice having some tcs on well worn tyres, get there and find out it doesn't work. No resurrection since. Just another nail in the coffin...
 
I have not raced online with this game at all. The ghosted out controls on my DFGT under 1.05 is therefore not caused by rule settings for an online race. My game save was created the day I got the game - one day before official release.

I created a new save under a different user name and the controls are not ghosted out in this save created under 1.05. I think this is a bug introduced with 1.05 to saves created before 1.05, since I can access any race up to level 23 in this new save and control changes are possible in every race I've checked. None at working on my original save at all.

My kids got their PS3 on the 25th and right away it was updated as well GT5 went in and updated. So now before they started to play the game updated and then they begin to play. When they started the TCS and all worked.

Worked all the way up to when they joined my nephews private lobby. Which he had TCS and all blocked. . .. they had been in my lobby(two ps3's same house) where I knew from this thread to not block anything or it would cripple that feature. Which three times in my lobby and it worked, one trip into the blocked lobby and it was crippled.

IT IS ONLINE CAUSING IT! I got irrefutable proof here people. Not guess, I even told my son not to enter any lobby but mine cause this could happen. Soon as I seen him in that room, I called my nephew and asked if he blocked TCS, sure enough. Made my kids back out and go to a race and try the RA. It was BROKE. Worked earlier that day, I used it on a race they asked me to do for them. :(

whatever causes it, does anyone have a fix for it yet? as i want to do some enduro races but want to be able to turn up tc when tyres go off.

Thanks owen. I think you've figured it out! Had no problems with tcs until last week. Last week I joined an online race for the first time. I don't remember if TSC was turned on or off but I do know that next day i thought "damn, the TSC bug!".
I hope PD fixes it.
 
It used to work fine for me, but a couple of days ago I was in practice mode in me enzo and had to quit out to change traction control... you don't have to do that in the real car! :mad:
 
I had this happen to me last night,mapped all the buttons for the RA funtions on the g25 to work.They did,but as the clock hit 00.00 i could no longer adjust the TSC or ASM settings,only the brake/abs worked.
It doesn't really matter that much for ME since i don't use ASM or TSC,only use it for brake settings,but i'm guessing it can be a pain if you DO need it.;)
