Boards updated.

Extended car selection :
I finally decided not to include extra cars... yet.
The event has only been posted last sunday, and over 200 cars are eligible.
I think that provides enough variety for years of racing, and the initial idea was to give a chance to cars we don't use very often, hence the multiple boards dedicated to midgets, FF cars...
Including the Supras and 3000GT's and their kin now is not necessary IMO.
I'm not saying I will never include them, only that it's definitely too early. We still have so much to experiment and discuss with the current eligible cars.
In my dreams we could make a whole series out of this event, like "ok, let's try and tune car X this week, to see what are the better settings and what time we can achieve on this track"...

Replays :
Many replays have been posted already (26), all of them remain to be checked, but I think that deleting times that are not backed up by a replay yet would be spoiling all the fun some racers may have running this race.
I mean, what's the point in deleting from the records Bigracer's time which is currently first on the 6-cylinder board ? When people start to use 6-cylinder cars, this time ran in the '67 Toyota 2000GT will be several inches down the page.
So I don't want to enforce the no-replay no-record rule yet.
Those who have replay devices : keep on providing replays (I still need to upload mine), and we'll consider this issue again later.
I still need to upload all replays on my website and add a link to them on the leaderboards. That'll be done during the week.

Yeah, a good competition for FFs and migdets is always fun 👍

And the no-replay-no-record should only be enforced gradually, when all categories are starting to fill up. BR's time in the 2000GT, and mine in the Yaris Turbo, both reflect this.

Hey all, I put some time in with the GSR MR again and broke into 54s. :D
To be exact it is...

Real Submission:
Kent..........Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR '04..........0'54.709

Thanks for your efforts F.O.
-
(replay to come later...)

one class of car i didnt submit in yet - the 1600cc class.
i was too lazy to pick the hotshot (some mx5) cos i got the yaris turbo lined up fully specced and the diff would probably be neglectible.

1.04.797

altho in real life i prefer ff or awd cars to fr ones, these types of vehicles - in gt4 anyway - are not well suited for tracks. once you point them into a direction, it flies that way in a sort of supernotundersteer way.

I'm still .691 secs off the best Spec C WRX time @ 0'54.407.
I know I can improve by about another .400 but not much further.
Hmm, I might try some smaller cars this time round...

cyril could you please change something? the nissan 200sx '96 submission i did earlier was for the S14 car.

i found out cos now i'm running the 'normal' 200 sx '96 (in gtvault it is known as the 240sx for some reason) that can be bought with 10k in the lot. with an original turbo it has a whopping 459 hp! it has real great fun FR characteristics otherwise sparingly found in supercars.

time: 58.933 (would have thought to be much quicker ...)

maybe i should keep this a secret but i just like to share all this stuff with you guys.

My replays (PAL) minus my 2.2 litre 22B one :

Here's one for the 6-cylinder category.

1'02.800 w/ FTO GP Version-R 99'

Here's another official Submission:

1'01.970 Kent Toyota Modelista Celica TRD Sports M '00

What's so awesome about that lap was the setup...
The Celica can go up to about 340HP but I wasn't running that.

I ran the NA stage 2 and everything else producing 295hp! :sly:
Then with the settings it felt like the best FF I've had the chance to drive.
If any one is interested in those settings feel free to ask, otherwise I'm not taking the time (but only ask if you really want them!). ;)

Well until next time,

Unfortunately you've officially submitted a time using an unofficial car. Tuner cars aren't allowed. Sorry.

Damn, that sucks! Big time, I mean, really big time! :( :( :(

Great time too (for me) and an amazing setup.
Oh well, I guess the Hondas will go unchallenged. 👎

Car: Mitzubishi Lancer Evo Vlll MR GSR `04
Mods: Accordingly
Setup: Still not perfect.

Time: 12.376 // 28.387 // 53.002

This is a PAL-replay.
(Question: Is the max-file format universally applicable for both PAL- and NTSC- users or does the original TV-standard make a difference??)

EDIT:
Answer: Well, surprise, surprise.... it doesn´t work 👎 :banghead:

NOS on a diesel? lol, I did however see those audi diesels at le mans......

But Audi is not a japan car. And this time trial sound like so much fun I wouder
if I should do one for US cars or EU cars:idea:, I will have to think about it;).

First, the 120d is a BMW, not an Audi.

Oh, and NOS is NOT allowed. That's second.

And third, it's N/S tyres only - R3s are not allowed, either.

Oh, and fourth (gettin' long): Yeah, this TT is really fun.

Yeah, a 120d with NOS on R3's sums up pretty well what is NOT allowed. One only needs to run it on the wrong track to make it perfect.

This is my first lap time...
Honda Integra Type R (DC5) '03

454HP - 1029kg

T1 - 14.141
T2 - 32.425
Lap Time - 1'00.637

Settings:
...............................FRONT_____REAR
Spring Rate (kgt/mm)...10.4_______13.0
Ride height (mm)..........95_________95
Bounce side.................6__________6
Rebound side...............8__________8
Camber angle..............2.6________1.8
Toe angle....................0__________3
Stabiliser.....................6__________6
---
Brakes........................4__________5
---
Transmission - Auto settings set to 16
---
TCS - 3
---
Initial torque - 10
LSD acc. - 40
LSD dec. - 25
---.
I change gears from 2. to 3. @ 100km/h, and from 3. to 4. @ 150-155km/h.
Tyres are SportSoft.

I'll upload a replay next week. And, yes, when I watch a replay it's written 426HP, but in the car setup menu afther I've done my best lap it was 454HP.

Now I'll try with Civic ;) ...

funny 'cos no one is mentioning that bmw is not (yet anyway) a japanese but a german car. what's wrong with open driver's eyes? (no offense mate!)

I have looked all over but I can't seem to locate these cars. Any help?

Nissan 200SX '96
Nissan 200SX (S14) '96

They must be called something else in the NTSC version. Do you have Silvia's from these years that don't appear on the eligible car list ?

as always cyril is right. they are called sylvia's - with us in pal anyway. there's an s14 and a normal one, both from '96. the normal one will get you round the track sooner.
in fact i was also confused about this but found out later thru gtvault.

I found the 240SX and the 240SX (S14)

240SX '96
L4: DOHC
1998cc
184HP/6000rpm
1220kg

240SX (S14) '96
L4: DOHC
1998cc
236HP/6000rpm
1250kg

These are not silvias but they must be the NTSC version of the 200SX. Must be the American only cars. the guy at the race shop has a 240SX for the SCCA series, and I have seen a bunch around over the years here. I thought that there was a 200SX in america as well, but I must be mistaken?
