T1 - Don't know where to find this info
T2 - Don't know where to find this info

They can be found during the lap replay, on "Display" mode. When in the replay, pressing Square twice will bring you to that Display mode. T-times are splits that appear on a certain place on each track - while Tsukuba has 2, Motorland has 0 and the Nurburgring has more than 8.

Hey,

I am new here, i will like to say that i have done a 54.874 with a Mitsubishi Lancer evo MRVIII GSR. on all the rule of the competition.

I think that put me in 3rd in the 4wd cat and forth or 6th overall.

PimpF: I set the ABS usually between 8 and 14. To the best of my knowledge the brake controller adjusts how agrressively the ABS kicks in. The more agressively the ABS works the shorter distance it will take the car to stop (as I can't threshold brake with my ps2 controller) I find that this matches my in-game driving style, as I like to brake the car fully before adding steering input. With FF and I set the rear brake bias usually 1-3 points higher than the front, to induce rotation in the rear of the car, for MR i tend to keep them even, and for FR i usuallu have a range from -1 to 1 difference between the front and rear. What are your thoughts on the brake controller?

I do it like in Scaff's guide - by the estimated weight-transfer during braking. I normally have a 6/3 or even 8/4 on 50-50 distribution, and 8/3-9/4 on 60-40.

Boards are updated.
Please check that there is no typo or error in my spreadsheet, and if you have replays, please post them in this thread without waiting for any special request.
Also, welcome to those who joined this event recently.
Just a reminder : do not edit previous posts to post times now that I've posted the "boards are updated" message. I'm not gonna look back at previous posts now.

I still need to see how I will manage the replay without making it a real chore to admin.
Steven : I ignored a Yaris time because there are 2 Yaris in the 1.6 category and I didn't find which one you used.

Looks like I gotta go back to MY Yaris RS Turbo (which I lost in a tragic accident involving Armcos, sandtraps and a loss of savefile)...

Ya, the GT-A is a really nice car. I should get my old (one of my first cars) GT-A out to Tsukuba - it used to be the ultimate Costa di Amalfi/Citta di Aria trackmachine...

100k: I know it may sound funny, but I "simulate" ABS by fast tapping my brake button :D
And I don't set up my brekes so strong because I sometimes brake while cornering, which is impossible if the brakes are set too strong.
Hm, one question (please don't laugh) - where do you setup ABS?

I think what people are referring to is brake bias as opposed to ABS?

There isn't a setting for ABS as far as I'm aware?

Darren.

no worries pimp. you can adjust the brake balance to your liking in the bottom of the second row of the tuning screen. default is always at 3/3 (i never saw any other default values anyway) and if you raise that value, your brakes will block earlier. play with it to get the brake function you need. there's also the asm function (under aids with tcs) to control the impact of your braking on under- and oversteer.
but for true understanding of tuning your car check out the manuals readily available in gtp or in gtvault.

Hello everybody....long time...no see!

I had an EVO V1 sitting in my garage all ready to go....so I did.....go, that is....to the track, to run it.....and ...ah....this is what happened....ah....:scared: ...and I might do it again....tomorrow.....you know....go to the track....ah...

Thank's everyone, but I think that Daren sad it: there is no ABS setup in GT4!
Brake balance is another thing, because as you sad, "...if you raise that value, your brakes will block earlier..." -ABS is all about not blocking (locking) your brakes. And ActiveStabilityManagement and TractionControlSistem are all about spoyling my funn while driving ;) :D
Thank's again 👍

As far as I know, GT4 doesn't lock the brakes - something like a magical, perfect, always on-the-limit and always-effective ABS system.

Back at it with the Nissan's...

Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31) '87 ..... 0'57.203
Nissan Silvia Q's Aero (S14) '96 ..... 0'59.811

I couldn't resist taking the Bathurst out though...

Mazda RX-7 Type R Bathurst R (FD) '01 ..... 0'53.325

SUZUKI GSX-R/4

whassup :) ain't been on this forum for a while,
just thaught i'd drop by and add my little contribution.

the car used is stated above ^^^

car settings are as follows

max power (275 garage BHP)
min wheight 580 kgs
qualifying tyres
a wing set at: 27F / 30R
no driving AIDS, no TCS
no NOS

will give more detail if you request.

the final reult was a 48:741

I don't recall having seen qualifying sports tyres, so I guess your time is nice but illegal by the TTA rules ;)

Edit :
Board updated.

I only ignored Mr.M time in the Levin : there are 2 Levin's eligible, I don't know which one was used, and it wasn't even clear to me in the post whether it was a submission or not.

As usual, do not edit posts now that the boards are updated, I'll only be looking at new posts.

- hm, that's true. I've watched some replays and I never saw any breaks/wheels locking. But when I drive I get the feeling as if brakes lock some times - times when you can't steer while breaking. -In real life this happens to me only when brakes lock.

Yes, it also happened during WRS Week 75 - when braking too hard on those N3 tyres, they started to screech, and the car would understeer, while during light braking, it'd steer well, and actually oversteer due to the massive weight-shifts on that suspension.

EDIT: Had some cars tuned for the challenge, but I lost them all during another corruption. Can't stand it, I always loose the TTA cars. Is it because I backup, buy them, and then corrupt?

I am trying like crazy to best stidrivers time in the WRX STi car. I only need to loose about .1 off my current time. I must say that I have been working very hard on this one! :scared:

Hi guys, is tcs and asm eligible for this competition? And which tyres can i use N3/S3? Please will somebody explain how can i upload a replay because i aint understanding this .max, xps. replay uploading thingy.

Thanks
