On Indy Road Course, I'm using a set-up very similiar to my tune for the fgt.
Ballast up to 999kg, and toe : -0.20, -0.40
Still figuring out the rest. Also, gonna bspec my 2J tonight ;)
Maybe that oil lamp will be on 2moro.

Man i need to get off level 0 on b spec:idea:

@Tuners regarding BRZ/86/FR-S

Which engine parts you install for the best performance?
Engine Tuning or Turbo?
Weight reduction or not?
Aerokit?
  • no turbo
  • full weight reduction (1092 kg)
  • strictly no aerokit

But that said, I'm not a professional tuner. Anyway, I took my Toyota for a spin earlier today and after like ten laps I was 94th in the ranking, trailing by 2.2 seconds (highest ranked Pole I think). I wonder it that result make me any good? I'm a keen pad user and ABS set to 1 is my only aid of choice.

EDIT: Whoa, one more timed lap and I'm 41st! I know the leaderboards are temporary but I'm quite happy with this result.

My usual 3000 something with the 86, love the track but the car seems too rigid, surely because of poor setup.
Much better with the 2j, around 120 last night, although I don't like the track that much. A good combination of ballast and power reduction did it for me. But by now I must have been knocked right down...

BRZ - 2:12:722

Struggling to get much faster now with current parts/setup.

Don't know how the 2:07 is achieved (though steering assist must help). i can keep stay in touch with the top guys until the first tunnel. Between there and the chicane after the bridge, they gain 3 seconds on me. :s

G27
ABS1
everything else off

What does the ''professional'' mean? i`m in 227 position right now and in there it sais: 1 in professional.

nothing, it's a data that's still present in Leaderboards, but that match an option that is not present (anymore) in the game (it was in GT5 Prologue). I'll remove it in future.

Hi! Could you share us your tune? Im a DS3 user myself as i dont have enough space in my room to set up a rig. I am currently at 99th as of typing and im having a hard time finding to break the 2'09 barrier.

Thanks in advance! 👍

That Mygrantursimo website is good, as you can pick a car and see how well you did, The shame is you can't post multiple laps in different cars.

I've often thought that. I had a bit of fun trying to do the Indy one in a Peugeot 205 T16 rally car at about 570PP. Didn't even make bronze but it would be nice to have the fastest time in an 80s rally car. Since I changed to the Nomad that time is no longer there. The trouble is that if all the top drivers did the event in a few different cars there would be no room for us lesser drivers in the leader boards at all.
The car filter thing in MyGranturisimo doesn't work for me. It says something about it being disabled while the event is still open.

Quite an enjoyable set of seasonals this go around.

Just had 2 hours and got 1:22.5 in the 2J for 26th, 2:09.6 in the 86GT for 167th, plus 11.5k for 205th on the 1st drift trial and 7.8k for 83rd on the 2nd.

This combo is actually a lot of fun. Managed a 2.10.490 wich was enough for a place arround 400.....

Improved with my first under 2.10. position 253 at the moment.... happy with that...

My last attempt was in the 86GT ,gained another 0.5 sec giving me a 124e position with 2.09.334

For those that have been PM'ing me to put my 2J on, it will be on share starting tomorrow for those of you wishing to use it. Sorry I haven't responded till now, but I've been busy with Forza 4 designing cars with the livery editor, lol. Going to be taking a break from GT5 for a bit to play Forza for awhile then the new NASCAR game that will be coming out in a few weeks. Also pre-ordered Forza Horizon. So, if anyone needs cars put on share, just PM me here or on PSN and I'll try to get you what you need. Just need to take a break for awhile from GT5. Peace my friends.

EDIT: Just put my 2J on share. Its on my cargorat323 account. Please do not send blank friend requests, they will be ignored.
Only concentrating on the Grand Valley TT this time around and after my nightly hour stint, got my time down to 2:10.090 with lots of room for improvement. Peace.

I used this tune, only with no aero, and ride height changed to -3/-3. I also tweaked the final gear a little, but can't remember it - I think it should show 255 km/h in top right corner in the transmission settings.

It significantly increases performance points, so you have to lower the power in order to match 450 points. And, frankly, downforce is not that important when driving at a fast track in relatively slow car.

Had time for a proper run in the GT86... really nice car/track combo 👍

2:07.880 (18th for the time being)

Settings if anyone wants to give them a go... I'm no setting expert, and this still has a bit too much understeer, but it might make a decent starting point...

Stg 3 weight reduction, carbon hood, window weight reduction, all power upgrades except engine, customisable suspension/transmission + all drivetrain parts... I haven't tried it with chassis strengthening.

Should make 264bhp & 1,139kg.

Ballast
47 50

Suspension
Ride 5 -10
Spring 9.5 3.5
Rebound 5 5
Bound 4 4
ARB 3 3
Camber 2.0 1.0
Toe -0.40 -0.05

Diff
7 25 10

Gears
Max Speed 112
Final 3.188
1st 3.791
2nd 2.848
3rd 2.296
4th 1.887
5th 1.592
6th 1.335

Also improved on the Sarthe drift trial to 55th (8.5k pts).

Really nice lap by Yinato, and I reckon he can knock a couple of tenths off that at least.

Sweet Lap Cargo, and thanks for sharing I'll have a go later 👍

Great Lap, & thanks for sharing the tune.

(INDYGP TT)Just got gold in a P4 Ferrari I was mortified when my previous hot lap was done in a car with ABS1 and traction control on...

Quite a good car to run, The V12 sounded terrible though. Had to put in 8 laps to control the car all lap long.
Had a Ghost that obscured my brake point into Turn 1... and my car was sliding on the spilt beer here. The car was pretty unsettled the whole lap, Never before felt on edge in turn 12 before, (Do you get a red lap if you understeer beyond the white lines at Turn 12 (Merge back onto the oval)

I had a few red laps due to that. I think you're ok with the white line but there is a bit of a curb leading into the line and four wheels over that is red. Not too hard to avoid once you know.

What's the difference between clean and dirty oil?

Managed a 1.22.7 in the Indy TT, but then I realised I had Traction Control on 5 by mistake, because I was borrowing the car, I was disgusted with myself  :yuck:

Now, trying to do a better lap with no Traction Control and I'm hitting my personal wall.. can never get close enough to my time, too much understeer, and also just a mental barrier :grumpy:

I dunno what to do, I don't want my time counted with stupid TC :dunce:

With my setup @ 600PP
(my Car)Clean oil = 544bhp
Dirty oil = 555bhp

Why are everyone using cheater car like 2J..

Please... spare us.

This is said, every single time the 2J dominates a time trial.

If it was a running sprint which would you choose from these?

Running shoes to challenge yourself to beat the very best.
Clown shoes to have a good time.

Whichever you decide, I don't see how the other player's choice could bother you.

Could have been worse, could have been SRF. Really, just tell yourself you can go faster without TC, which is almost certainly true. There's only one way to remove that time, beat it.

Understeer? It oversteers like a b***er :dopey:! Or maybe I can't control throttle with a pad... Your setup helped me drop about 2 tenths, but still I'm nowhere near as fast as you, not to mention Yinato (2:08.6 ish). Anyway, thank you for posting the setup!

Made me laugh. :)
You make a good point.

Heh... peddals and wheel make corner exits a LOT easier... I only get oversteer on the exits of the slow corners, and only then if I go in a tiny bit too fast, or don't get the lock off fast enough.

And PMSL @ Private Jokers clown shoes post

Why are everyone using cheater car like 2J..

What made the 2J a "cheater" car? People like us who use the 2J want to be competitive in the rankings.

If you have nothing really good to say please keep it to yourself.
