Tuner Wars by Harvey Wallbanger (First 2 battles joined 12/6/11)

yeah man don't worryt about the game , Family is something that is more important then anything .
I am sure i can say this for everyone as we hope ( and some of us that pray , will pray ) that things will be ok for you and you're family .

Meanwhile…Deep in the heart of the Outlaw garage, one of the two entries has just returned from a heated battle on Trial Mountain against the R34 of Onboy's good friend v'ette, owner of Avid Racing Factory. It was a quick and aggressive one, with the duel ending in a draw when the R34 pulled into the pit lane, ending the race.

Yup…getting nearer and nearer to my likings…though it still refuses to turn in some tight bends…:grumpy:

And the iPod is on share as well, so…if you won't mind…please? :D

By the way, that there, looks .

I gave Krenkme's sacrificial lamb a quick test at Deep Forest. I was hoping it would toss the front driveshaft off the start or suffer a catastrophic ECU failure during testing but then realised this is just virtual driving. Kidding aside I'm @1.15 and some change with the Ford and on only my second lap in the Dodge an easy 1.14.4xx. Great job on the tune it is the faster of the two with me driving them but I'll wait for the testers and other entrants to decide for sure. Time to grab my tools and build up the next contender. (shakes fist) vengence shall be mine. :mischievous:

You in as a tester again 👍 :)

Fun truck, glad it motivated you...
...You open for a midget battle> :D :dopey:

Sure, Nothing like a good old Midget fight. :)

I gave online free run a go this morning and I was only able to get 1:28.5xx with the Midget... Granted, I am not great racing/driving online. Even with all driving options off, real grip , abs 1 I am always 2-3seconds a lap slower than offline driving. Handling physics are very different online! :yuck:

The Beat and Autozam look great. 👍 Its sure to be a close match between those two. Good Luck!

Put my working tune for the upgraded 550PP "Spooky" on share. Not happy with it but maybe some feedback will help me correct its issues.:crazy:

Note my best lap with it is a 1:16.956...

And the iPod is on share as well, so…if you won't mind…please? :D

Ran very close laps to my Beat (only 0:00.1xx slower ). Car felt very unstable, might be due to the toe angles and the ride hight. Not sure. LSD is good and so is the tranny. Looks like I'm in for a fight :D

Put your Midget on share, and lets see if we can get some testers 👍

You can always join the MR Kie car fight if you'd like :D

I'll try and run it soon 👍........ why am I helping my competitors? :dunce: :dopey:

Ok, The midget is online.

I also added some fun 400-450P.P. cars that I have been using on Spa. Not completed tunes but should be fun for anyone that wants to try them out.

Great I'll send a PM as soon as I can. Testers anyone for a quick Midget Battle?

Lost my PS3 at the moment. Try to get to it soon.

I forgot why I set it up like that...I think it was so that I could take the corners of the kart track without lifting off much.

Hey caring is sharing..or was it the other way round? :dopey:

Chevy SSR
Leave it like this and publish it .... why do you ask ? why ?...
well i would consider a 1.13.815 a pretty good reason :P
But very important , like this publish it as a offline tune
offline it is amazingly fast for a pick-up , turns sharp easy to handle all the stuff you want from a sportscar ...
Online is a totally different story , the car is tailhappy , easpecially mid-corner , feels very lose not really sure how to discribe it , i think adding a wing seeing on this model you can ( big advantage here might as well use it seeing it doesn't look bad with a wing ) If you can get the car to handle the same online as offline then you have a championship car for sure .
don't change stuff on the suspension tho seeing it keeps good contact with the tarmac all the time . also LSD is fine , no problems woth acceleration ... its just the midcorner whipeouts that need fixing

Dodge Ram aka The Lamb
This big rig was allready published so no need to ask for doing that , this big rig might be 30kg lighter is sure is a lot bigger , people will notice you in this one combined with the flashy pink paintjob you can laughter all the way to the finish line . with a time of 1.14.179 its flying over deep forest .
I have to say it was a little to big for the forest track looking back to it , i needed the entire track to keep a driving line , nothing to do with the tune all to do with the size of this truck . but after resetting the gearbox and taking it to Spa Francorchamps online its destroyed the compitition , i will keep this car for the little bigger / faster tracks . seeing i love the " WTF is that truck doing in first " comments :D
online the tune is actually better then offline :P

Ford F150 white lighting
Offline a very fast 1.14.806 , and i like the tune very much , maybe because i am partial and just think the F150 is the best looking pick-up in the game :P , but that is because the 1954 Chevy Pick-Up isn't in the game . Yes i know i have strange taste :P . I like the offline tune it suits my driving style pretty good , could be a bit smoother tho , sadly i am clueless at tuning so i have no idea what to change :( .
Online well there is another story , sadly it is all over the place , i could not controle it , it was all over the place , it felt tailhappy while braking , and mid-corner it could launch without a warning . I did add 200kg and +50 wich made the balance a very nice 51-49 and did solve the problem a little bit . I don't think it is a LSD problem , maybe adjusting the camber and suspension a little bit . keep in mind i am not a tuner so i might be completely wrong

now thats one review down , only like 341234 to go :P
starting with a favourite real life car of mine :D

So I took a quick look around my garage at MR Kei cars and found my '03 Mitsubishi i Concept (doesn't really count as Kei) and decided I should put it on share for the Trial Mountain MR Battle... no down force available on this on so only 432P.P. :dunce:

If you want to give it a go the mean green jelly bean is ready!

@DaDog thanks for the review.👍👍

Problem with adding the wing is that it eats up a lot of PP, more than you can get by adding weight so power gets cut even more to keep it at 550PP. I could probably add the wing and make a pretty good 575PP tune with it though not sure how competitive it would be with other cars in that range.

As for publishing the tune it is only a minor variation of the one I used for DigitalBaka's 1st Annual Fall Roadster Battle! Main thing was increasing power obviously and making some adjustments to the suspension to try and handle the bumps and rough track at Deep Forest better.

Here is the link to my Chevrolet SSR '03 "Super Spooky Rod" from that event.:D

For online you might try adding some positive rear toe and lowering the front ride height. Try +20 rear toe and -20 front ride height and see if that helps online. If that causes understeer or adversely affects turn in let me know and I'll see what else I can do.:D

well about the spoiler these are things i don't know , but i'll defenatly try the adjustments , like i said the offline ride just blew me away , i really hope i can get it the same online seeing it would be a contender for sure

now off to test the Tacoma

Wait…how did you test cars online? I thought shared cars can't be taken online?

Probably copied the settings onto his own trucks...💡

Would he have a Tacoma though…I wonder…and if he is, then he won't be able to tune the gearbox to my settings. Tranny trick, again.
To be honest…I might have forgotten how to set it too.

In that case…did you manage to set the ratios for my Tacoma's gearbox right?

no no i just took you're car and drove just a couple of laps , did manage a 1.14.something offline , but in all fairness i couldn't concentrate , and due to large amounts of Duvel ( http://www.duvel.be/#/us/en/home ) i didn't give it a good go around yet . i'll try to get it done asap

Tsk tsk…you should know better than to drink and drive. :P And it's now back on share after I failed to finda good server online to troll in test it. :dopey:

whatever i was doing to the car , i don't think it would qualify as driving , crashing stalling , missing gears ( yes when drunk i apperantly have the wrong asumption i can drive manual :odd: ) i did get oe good lap tho , but after that well lets just say ill pay for the chasis rebuild :scared::D

 Needn't. The chassis refreshed itself when you gave the keys back. :dopey:

Just get testin'. :D

Do to some "technical" problems, testing has come to a halt for the MR Kie car battle.

Testing will continue when I can remove the metal from my 🤬. (a.k.a. get some time to myself) :dopey:
