Tuner Wars by Harvey Wallbanger (First 2 battles joined 12/6/11)

Onboy, Desparado, and krenkme,
So far I'm first in my league with a mixture of your tunes. krenkme's set-up, Onboy's transmission, and Desparado's attitude. Thanks alot guys. I owe you one 👍

Oh wait…*facepam* it was for online!! :ouch: Had I been smart enough to read it before hand…I would have tuned it differently. Still, glad we could help. 👍

Though how did you get Desperado's "attitude" into the car? Paint it black and throw a few bodies in the boot add some ballast? And how's it holding up online? I've yet to try it online myself…

sounds like your scared :sly: this is only my second tune but its so addictive :)

Me? Scared? No! Yes.The only ones to be scared are the testers, as I've decided to give my Beat a dual personality. Krenkme knows what I mean.

this is soo much harder than tuning race cars :grumpy: the best ive got so far on deep forest is 1:39.342! If I can get it down to 1:37.999 or lower i'll be happy

 it's meant to be tuned in that Kei car seasonal custom track and a 450PP one for the Compact car Seasonal track. 👍

it says on the first page to be 420pp round deep forest???? oh well just got a 1:37.359!!! :dopey:

Oh…?? Wait…Lemme check…

Edit:
Now I've had a running discussion with krenkme for some time about doing a comparison of the two MR Kei cars, namely the Honda Beat Z and the Mazda AZ-1 Autozam.

We're looking for tunes of both cars at both 420PP on Sports Softs and at max/450PP on Racing Softs.

The 420PP tunes are to be tested on the Lightweight K Cup Seasonal race using the Deep Forest track. Best time for entire race, and a hotlap done in practice mode with tire wear/fuel consumption on and grip set to real.

The max/450PP tunes are to be tested on the Japanese 90's Challenge seasonal race using the Trial Mountain (reverse) track. Best time for entire race, and a hotlap done in practice mode with tire wear/fuel consumption on and grip set to real.

Fakku…got it wrong.

did this change?
Nope that's correct. You'll want to set it up to run both the full seasonal race and to do a separate hotlap at deep forest.

Also need to set up a 450PP tune to run the full seasonal race at trial mountain reverse and a separate hot lap in practice mode.

 dammit…now I need to retune the thing for the right track…*facepalm*

Just remember its the trial mountain reverse track which I personally like better than the regular one.:D

I haven't really had a crack at the reverse one but still, I've disliked it from GT1 all the way through to GT5

Depending on how you see it, it's either an easier variation or just a bit boring. I look at it as the former.

Also, I don't know about you, but I actually like these wars more than the actual shootouts because the lack of variety in cars making it more about the tune than the car's ability.

Speaking of other events did you read my review of the whale Onboy?

@sheephead I'll have your review up in a couple hours.
Very good tune but a very tough group.

I read your review on mine :( I haven't stopped crying since :( :( :dopey:

I like testing the MR cars, because you can get Cr. While doing it 👍 and trial mountain is one of my favorites

Yup, I did. You, along with Gospeedgo and Nomis are the few people who actually got the point of the whale. Refined, effortless high speed cruising. And I thought the name of the CL gave away its perpose?

Sorry if I came across a bit harsh there krenkme...that whole Group has been my least favorite to test so far. Group D is my favorite test Group to this point.
Have to see how Group A stacks up in a couple hours. :nervous:

It's okay, the car is a love hate thing and most hate it.

Group A can't be that bad, seeing that it has a Challenger AND a Viper 👍

Yeah but I really have to try and be objective in my evaluations...:embarrassed:

 If I was doing Group C, what I would have written for the Ricer35 is 'hateful noise, horrid drive, hideous tranny whine, undeserving of an entry, not even a GT car to begin with, stab me now. Could-have-been-good-tune, but a bad base car.

 well at least you think it might have been a good tune :lol:I :dopey:

Ok…I don't know if this is a quick time for a Honda Beat with 420PP on Deep Forest…but it did a 1:34.xxx in a quick test. :D

Now to actually start my AZ-1…it hasn't even got out of the new car dealership yet.
