TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - ENDURO Racing Series - PRACTICE TONIGHT!

We cant gift these cars, nothing over 1,000,000. You have to gift the tickets that have the cars you want. Just find someone that has a 1970 ticket and have them dupe it and send it to you. You can then cycle it until it gives you the 2J.đź‘Ť

Well shoot lol, I've never gifted or traded before so I wouldn't know lol, well at any rate, you have a few days, and some seasonal events can yield well over 1 million feeds for maybe 10 minute of driving. You could easily spam 20 million from that in a matter of hours and buy the ferrari lol

Race in the seasonal events, the Ferrari challenge with the 458 Italia, win all races and you get the Ferrari race car..

Hello guys I will be in Turtle Town tonight at 8:00pm est for practice. I will be starting practice races at 8:30pm est. Bring that 20 million dollar car with you.

Has anyone done the 4.45 update for PSN yet? I'm worried about doing it based upon the news reports...

Mine updated when I went to PSN store teusday morning early around 3am. I've not seen anything different. What news reports? I knew there was update for GT5 but the update for PSN suprised me.

The news is stating that it locks your console permanently thus requiring a hard drive swap. I just read another article that says sony has taken this update offline. It sounds like if you're not already locked then you're probably OK as my friend at work is stating he's not having the issue and he did it

Lol, I'll just drive the Ford. I'd rather be bit by a rabid dog than have to run seasonals, especially for a car I'd probably never drive after this one race.

Ok. That first sentence was scary when I read it. But everything seems ok. I just downloaded all my DLC to my sub account this morning and everything was fine. Man I feel bad for the people that happened to.

You can get the jag from the a-spec Indy 500 endurance race if you want it. It takes around 2 1/2 hrs with the FGT.

I downloaded it last night and then downloaded the gt5 update. Didn't have any issues

I might be working until 8 but ill try to sneak out early. :) if anything ill be there for practice race time

I got 4.45 last night and then the gt5 update too, and nothing happened. The psn update is really dumb and useless too, so that really sucks for anyone who had issues with it

I was playing around on the forums and I found how to make any track weather change. Could be interesting for some different races.

Select the track you want to race on, go to event settings in the bottom right of the lobby, change something like tire wear. Just anything that resets the lobby. As soon as you press Ok, immediately press left and then X. You should be brought to the course selector menu. Select a track that has weather change like spa or high speed ring. Doesn't matter. After that it'll say the course has changed, but the back ground will stay the same of the first track. Now just go change the weather settings and enjoy!!

There's the link to watch the videos on how to do it.

Wonder if it will stay or be patched out.

Rolling X2 starts would be nice.

Great fun last night. The Jaguar's interesting in the fact that sitting in a full draft I still can't catch the Ferrari. I was able to get on the power earlier in every turn however I was still losing on the straights. Once the Porsche curves showed up then I was WAY faster than the Ferrari. I'm sticking with the Jaguar In hopes that once tire wear gets rough I may have some small advantage ( Or at least the ability to catch up) Running alone my lap times match up perfectly but in traffic I can't go full steam into the curves like I want.

Edit: advice for the jag drivers... throttle control is all you need in the Porsche curves! I brake for the first right hander (with the sand pit on the left) and don't hit the brakes again until the first Ford Chicane (right at the pits)

I was really wanting to make practice last night, but couldn't get online early enough. :grumpy: Can you guys give me an idea of competitive lap times and on what tires? Still trying to decide on a tire strategy. :scared:

I didn't see anything about it in the OP, but is the race going to be on the regular 2009 with chicanes, or are you using the time/weather change track?

Yes, it will be on the 2009 with chicanes. I didn't practice last night so I don't have any lap times to share.

and YES, we're using the TIME Change 2009 w/ chicanes track.

doing a 24 hour mock race in 2 hours.

Psycho/MBobb/Stewards, i wrote this last night in practice but should post it here:

Weather should be turned off with no changeability

Time Change should be set to 12 (2 hours real time = 24 hours track time)

Not sure how qualifying is set up, but try to set the track clock so the race starts at 15:00 hours.
5 minutes = 1 hour; so if we're doing a 1 lap qualifying race with collisions off, then set track time to 14:00 as it will take about 5 minutes to run that without a break.
If you wanted to set the track up at 10PMest and then do a qualifying session and begin the race at 10:30pmest, then set the track to 09:00 at 10pmest and the track should be at 15:00 at 10:30pmest (30 real minutes = 6 hours of track time)
Time conversion is fun!:dopey:

Any other questions?

Scarecrow (Jag), it was quite entertaining to race with you last night going back and forth depending on where we were on track. I (Ferrari) had you on the straights and you dominated me on the curvy parts. The Ford seemed a mixture of the two but I didnt get to race with one long enough. Although TXExecutioner flew by us at one point in his Ford before he got a penalty.
In case anyone is curious, during offline testing, the lap times i ran with all three cars were within 1 second of each other; So choose your car based on preference, because all three can with this thing and all are equal over the course of a full lap.
Fastest "OFFLINE" Laps:
Ford: 3:46.xxx
Jag: 3:47.xxx
Ferrari: 3:47.xxx

most of my "good" laps online were around 3:50 as a reference point. Depending on time of day and tyre wear, anything under 4:00 is pretty good.

***Also, I would like to make a request for this specific track and race. Can we please turn off Penalties for this race? I think it would be beneficial to many of the drivers. The penalty zones on this track are broken and i fear it will frustrate people throughout a 2 hour race***

If you agree to do this, I think anyone found to intentionally cut a corner should get a 30 second penalty (straightlining the chicanes on the Mulsanne Straight and the Ford Chicanes before start/finish; zigzagging through the mulsanne barriers if you miss your braking does not save time FYI).
Anyway, your call guys, but i know the penalty's really piss people off at this track. If you don't want to deal with policing all the cutting that can occur here, then that's cool and i totally understand; (the careful and experienced drivers will benefit greatly as they get the fewest penalties). Just throwing the idea out there.

I know i was braking a lot earlier than many guys last night being careful of penalties and trying to save my tyres. So it is certainly a part of racing this track if you want it to be. It's just the useless, annoying penalties for barely going on a curb that is frustrating.

Yeah, that was a lot of fun Micantony. I was heavily discouraged at the end of practice but the lap times really are similar.. if not dead even. You truly are a faster driver so I ended up about where I should considering that's my home track per se. I'm going to stick with the jag since I'll take control over straight line speed any day and hope that I can sneak in a podium somewhere.

I don't mind the penalties but I normally never get any. For those who watch the replays I did get a couple last night but that was after there was already a gap lead for Micantony and I was messing around to see what I can get away with.

Ya know, I've always hated the Le Mans circuit. I couldn't stand the high speed straights. This week in the wrs it was the Le Mans in the 60 vette, and I have to say its kind of growing on me. I even went to my dads house and played forza4 rivals on the track. What fun it is in an Audi lms race car too!!

And you all are right. The penalties the PD have on this track are off. Once you learn where they are, you can easily avoid them.

đź‘Ť I'm pretty good at La Sarthe too. You have a nice home.

Ah Le Sarthe, I like the track except when I get penalties. Which is about 90% of the time. Even when I know where they are I still end up getting one. I've only had 1 good race out of the past 4 we've run there. Maybe this week will be different.

And those 10-second ones at Mulsanne and at the Ford Chicanes are IMO a bit harsh! Hitting one of those will ruin a race. I just about lose it everytime I get a lap where I get multiple penalties. Good thing I mute my mic.

Hey guys, I just wanted to take a moment to thank everybody for their help. It was fun for a minute but I just can't get into it. Competitive video gaming just isn't my thing I suppose. At any rate, I appreciate all the help that has been offered. Thanks!

I agree we should turn penalties off for la sarthe, I think were all adults here and won't cheat or slam eachother intentionally, its not about winning its about good hard battles right?
