TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - ENDURO Racing Series - PRACTICE TONIGHT!

930 and I'm still having connection issues, getting the "you have been disconnected from the server" message before I can even join a room. Well see if I can get into the lounge at 10

Great racing last night. Congrats Mic and TX. I would have liked to have seen how my 10 lap strategy would have played out but it wasn't in the cards. Congrats to the top 3. Good race.

Great race last night guys. Love the 24hr simulations. If I would have pit with mic I think we would have had a flag to flag battle, but I tried to finish with one less stop and lost too much time during the extra laps of my stints. Great run mic, nice win. Next time bring on the rain!

Congratulations guys, great race last night! My 10 lap strategy (developed on the fly) did not work well. :banghead:

Was it the 10 lap strategy or racing soft front with racing hard rear. Lol. Fun race though.

I tried to go 10 on softs and after a disasterous lap 9 I had to pit. So, then I went 10 with Softs in front and mediums on the rear. That wasn't to bad, but 11 laps was out of the question. But, I had 11 laps to go so then I went with softs in front an hards on the rear. My lap times immediately dropped 30 seconds. It was impossible to drive. I was sticking to my 2 pit strategy no matter what! I wonder how the car would have handled if I had gone with matching tires? For those who weren't there, I finished over 7 minutes behind the race leader. :ouch:

Doesn't look like ill make it tonight, my internets getting all sketchy. Keep getting booted from psn on a dns error every 30 minutes or so ugh. Ill see how its doing at 10 though.

On a side note, if anybody wants or needs an hpa ft565 twin turbo Audi TT, let me know, I just got another one. Can't sell it but I can gift it

If no one else wants it, I'll take it off your hands. Want something in return?

Since i chose the ferrari, no way was I going to try a 2 stopper. In my testing, a 3 stopper and a 4 stopper had the same time result, so i decided to take the conservative approach and just stop every 6 laps (4 stops). Seemed crazy, but that ferrari was so hard to drive once the rears started to wear even a little.
Anyway, it worked out i guess. TX, who was so fast in the ford obviously had issues in laps 7-9, because he lost a lot of time there. I basically built up a 20-30 second lead during the night and then hung on the rest of the race as he was matching my lap times all the way. Not sure what anyone else was doing as TX had 2nd most of the race. We need spotters:dopey: Very surprised noone tried the jag as it was the most consistent of all the cars in handling-plus you could paint it! I wonder what happened to scarecrow, he was smoking fast in practice in one.

Anyway, i love the track and enjoyed the 24hr simulation race. Such a challenge, we should all be proud to have gotten through it. I'm overjoyed to have finally gotten to do a long race in that 20 million ferrari. I've always wanted to ever since i saw it for the first time over 2 years ago. Thanks Turtle!

I think my only major incident was when randy left the room. Distracted me for only a second, but it was at a bad time and i missed the braking sign on the mulsanne straight in the middle of the night and plowed right into the barriers at the first chicane. Luckily it only cost me about 10 seconds. With full damage, i would have been toast limping back to the pits a long ways :yuck:

Congrats on your win Saturday night mic. I'm really sorry for the distraction I caused. I didn't leave the room intentionally, I wouldn't do that during a race because it is such a distraction. I got a server disconnect.
Another reason I won't be racing on line anymore until January when I switch from satellite Internet back to DSL, all the disconnects.
And I also know now never to try two different tire compounds during a race. I was wondering why psycho was falling back.
And psycho I'll say it again if you need my spot for a new member that's fine. I would just like to stay on a main drivers list because I by no means want to quit the league.
I'll only watch at practices from now on. Don't want to cause any more distractions during a race.

Sounds like you guys had a great race. Sorry I could'nt make it, My daughter got married Friday and the reception was on Saturday night.
Glad you all had a good time.

Sounds like I missed a good race! I woulda been in my blue jaguar for sure!

I am getting some withdrawals without a race in two weeks!

Looks like we need some new events..

Everyone get your checkbooks ready!

No worries dude. It happens. Seriously, i only glanced for a split second...the exact split second the 200 meter sign went by!

Practice is practice, you should join us for the fun there even if you dont want to risk connection/lag issues during the races. I probably enjoy the practices as much as the races if not moreso.

I'm quite excited for next weekend's event. However that day is moving day for me :( I know im only signed up for the enduro series but if you don't mind, I think I will hop on for the tyro race, since its the only one ill be available for. Ill be at my apartment instead of my parents house, so I will have a much better connection :)

So does tyro work like the enduro? What I mean is, what division lounge should I join on next weekend?

Tyro is division A and division 1. Division A for beginners and division 1 for experienced drivers.

I know I saw a schedule that said which cars for each race this weekend but I can't find it now.
Could someone please tell me the cars for enduro and tyro races. Thanks

Enduro is the Audi r8 fsi tronic 07 or something of that nature. Tyro is the golf iv rm 01

Go back 2 pages and the list is there towards the bottom

Congrats. Great race! I must say, too, that I had a tarrific time with this combo. Many battles along the way, too. The FORD was a predictable car and well balanced if you eased into the throttle. Tested the Ferrari but felt it would come around at any moment if not careful.

I noticed you were right there Xrad the whole way. Somehow TX and I got away from the pack early, otherwise i think you, Martin (sans cat-fight) TX and I seemed to be doing similar times overall between our various pit strategies and lap times.
I don't have a replay, what was going on from 3rd-8th in the first few laps that allowed TX and I to get a way a bit?
