^ Ha! Don't despair, this is a difficult combo for sure. A pretty difficult challenge for anyone-it's not gonna be a jump in and drive race. Almost a masochistic combo, heh. This track is better suited for race cars on slicks then this heavy GT.

Try and just go sloooowly through the infield, roll through the turns with an early entry. Easy on the throttle until the car is straight. You can try short shifting to keep traction under control too. All infield turns are flat which makes them tough to exit from.

Coming down into Turn 1 is a bitch no way around it. A heavy car to settle. I get the braking done early so I can turn in on throttle. I threshold brake hard a bit before the first marker then ease up just after the last one and start my roll into 2. After that it's a matter of learning the line and keeping momentum.

^ Thanks BLUR that's some good concise information. Gonna take a marks-a-lot and write that **** in the corner of my screen just in case my mind starts to wander. Car and track got me so mad I made my girl gimme a rusty trombone .........................juuuuust keeeeeeding...... Sorry I missed practice, just got done with Kettlebell and dinner, but I'll see you all on Saturday. This car is a handful for sure. I'll be the one having a picnic in turn 4 (gets me every time!).

You're quick all right, what are you doing in a begineers group, lol. PURE or WRS is where you belong. Nice driving!

Also saw a post where I gave phisher a 5 second head start and lowered my hp 3 less than his and passed him on the last lap. I had forgotten about that lol ahh I miss racing :/

When you have a chance to race with Wins you won't know much you'll just know he's there. Wins is one of the fastest in turtle. He can jump in any car on any track and by the third lap lay down a faster lap than anyone. All I've ever done when racing with him is watched his tail lights get smaller.

Sorry I needed to go early last night turtles... cranky toddler at home.

I bought a PS headset however I can't use the mic coz you all will be distracted with my two daughters playing and screaming.

When you have a chance to race with Wins you won't know much you'll just know he's there. Wins is one of the fastest in turtle. He can jump in any car on any track and by the third lap lay down a faster lap than anyone. All I've ever done when racing with him is watched his tail lights get smaller.

I'm just yanking his timing chain Socks pity he doesn't have moretime to race

Just took my (un-broken-in) car out for a few test laps. Got a 1:37.2 on my fourth lap. I had a couple of instances where I was ahead of my ghost after that, but I kept messing up the second half of the course. Then the tires just fell off. I'll tell you what, they go in a hurry. I know I can run a fast lap in the 1:36's, maybe into the 1:35 range with a fully broken in car. Not sure yet as to how my lap times will hold up with the tire wear however. Hopefully I can consistently run some 1:37-1:38's. The car is a bit of a handful, but I like it.

I ran a 1.40 this morning and several 1.41's. The middle of the course and last turn onto straight are key for me to make up the most time.
I actually switch to, tap,tap,tap with the X button for throttle control in the middle of the course then back to R2 button for the rest of the track. Made a 2 second difference in my lap times doing that.
This car loves to spin and slide those SS tires.

That's great Dolph! I ran a 1:38.0xx the other night but I was fully broken in. No ABS though, makes Turn 1 very uh...interesting, heh. I'm doubtful for Sat., hope you guys have a good one.

I'm running ABS 1 and still don't like the first turn. I can only imagine what it's like with ABS 0.

I'm running a 7/4 brake split and start braking exactly at the end of the pit wall (gives me about 10 extra meters to play with) and she is stable as can be. It gives a hint of understeer, but I prefer understeer. ABS 1...

10-14. Lap times drop off pretty quick but a one-stop race is possible. Running the half distance in practice, a couple of drivers finished very well without stopping. 28 laps tonight ( originally it was 32 but it times out better with 28 as we found out in practice)

Ok thanks scarecrow. Hopefully I can make it half way. Tried your b/b of 7/4 this morning, much better at that. I was running a low b/b of 3/1 to keep the tires from hearing up do much but with a little more care the higher b/b works well.

I would normally run pretty low in a turtle race, like a 3/1, but found with the extra weight of this car that it was better to go higher. The sacrifice is that I burn tires just a hair faster.

Going 14 laps did not look easy, But it was definitely done with decent results...

Speaking of a hare faster. Maybe I can find something during the race to make me a hare faster
Running 1.41's and low 1.42's won't win it,but maybe finish middle of the pack. I'd be happy with that. Not thrilled but happy.

GoodLuck to everyone tonight! I'm celebrating my nephews birthday up here today! I bought him a toy turtle I can tell he will like it! He's also driving those mini jeeps around here. He's even faster than Wins!
