I'll have to get a few practice laps done in the HSV-010 to establish whether or not I'm actually capable of driving the thing - it does look a bit intimidating to a beginner like me! But assuming I'm not totally hopeless I'd like to be considered for a grid spot if there are any still available?

It's got a drive unlike any of the other GT500 cars, which would kill you as soon as look at you. In other words, I think you'll like it.

Drop into the R/500 Arena (join if you still have slots available) and have a run in a dedicated testing room I have set up. You might even be able to get some of the other guys to join you too.

In an effort to avoid a clash with events beyond my control I am having to bring forward the scheduled event by 24 Hours.

It will now be taking place on Saturday March 14th, instead of the 15th.

I took the HSV for a quick spin around Midfield Raceway last night to reacquaint myself with one of my favourite original tracks from the old game. The car has awesome levels of grip!

In around 3 hours I should have the club room open. A reminder for
@Cpt. Disaster
@theewar
@weescotman
@Third Reign
@Goodwolf
@SuperGrover

I would still like to attempt a Super lap Qualifying.
Everyone will start from the pits and I will call you to track. You will have one out lap (red timer) and one hot lap(timed lap). After this, pull up on the outside of turn 1. Try to stay right on the pit straight on hot and run down lap to avoid any launching/slow cars.

I will send the more experienced guys earlier and I will go last to ensure everyone else gets their lap in in the time allotted (10 minutes).

This procedure will require your best efforts to run smoothly, if successful I may use it throughout the upcoming season.

Will has said he will be late. As such I intend to start Qualifying as soon as he is on track. Providing no one has an objection to this half hour delay.

I hope to see you all there

here are the results from the pre season race.

A lot of data was collected and most if not everything has had a positive outcome.
  • The proposed Cape Ring event has been swapped to Midfield Raceway. The small jump on Deep forest meant that the big jump on the Cape Ring would have caused more harm than would have been fun.
  • The super lap qualifying session can work. Expect a cut out and keep graphic for the procedure to be generated in due course
  • success ballast process has been finalized
and finally
A calendar for your delectation

As I couldn't quote my OP adjustment In my previous post properly:banghead::boggled::banghead::confused::banghead:🤬:dunce::mad:
Scoring
Points will be awarded from first to 10th place,

1st = 20 points
2nd = 15 points

4th = 8 points
5th = 6 points
6th = 5 points
7th = 4 points
8th = 3 points
9th = 2 points
10th = 1 point

Additionally,

During the series weight will be added proportionately to the points scored in each round
  • Rounds 1-6, Drivers points x2kg
  • Round 7, Drivers points x1kg
  • Round 8, None

Fuji is in the calendar twice. Is that intentional or by accident? I wouldn't mind since I like that track a lot, but Silverstone would be open as an option

It is intended. The super Gt calendar visits twice with different lengths each time (three times, if you include the GT300 optional scoring round, 3 hours of fuji race). The car will be carrying a different amount of weight later in the season, so should make for a different race.

I would like to be added to the grid. Looking great Gary! Cool graphics.

As soon as I get everything straight and am able to receive sign ups. You'll go on the list Bo 👍

Thank you both for taking interest :D

I present to you your car specifications for the upcoming series. Any questions or observations, as usual please ask.
Car and Specification

There will be no added power modifications to this Series' car. However It was deemed the car was too powerful during the pre-season test, so engine restriction measures have been put into place. Please decrease your power limiter to 95.3% to meet the required power level.

Just lodging my official interest.

Car No. 18
Body Colour: Formula Red
Wheel Colour: Grand Prix White

I have updated community page as driver in works suit for offficial driver card.

I improve rigidity on all rollcaged/spot welded cars that would have it IRL, I know it produces understeer but I can't help it. Is that ok?

No oil change, power limited to 95.7% gives me 472bhp is that correct?

Anything else let me know. Do you like my avatar? Some cool dude did it for me.
