I'm still deciding if I'm going to take part in the last round. I don't honestly know what happened, I was running 49kg hadn't changed cars and still end up running under weight. Got a while before the next one, so will take a Lil break from racing (a few days perhaps) and see how I feel.

Hi guys... Sorry, I missed the round held on bank holiday... Bank holidays are often a bit tricky to attend in general, I find.

I've had a busy couple of weeks and haven't kept myself up to date on the forum (sorry...). I expected the next race to be this evening, but I've since found out it had taken place last week, so that's two I missed. Hopefully I'll be able to make the final race. Unfortunately I've just not had the time to commit to this series in the way that I have with the Sunday Cup (and personal circumstances have somewhat sapped my enthusiasm in recent times)... so I'd not be expecting to fight anywhere near the front in any case.

Evening guys. Although I have been absent from this series as I was taking a GT6 sabbatical, I have been following the thread on a regular basis. This weekend see's teams from both this thread and Sunday Cup taking part in our final GTPlanet endurance series races. I have put together a small event for Friday, to help our teams prepare and also to give the opportunity for those not involved in the ES series, a chance to get involved before this final race. Please see the quote below.

Evening guys. This coming weekend see's the SCAR teams competing in their final rounds of the GTPlanet Endurance series. All teams have done considerably well. Firstly SCAR Honda will be taking to the grid in GT500 class in the Brands Hatch 4 hour race on Saturday 19th, followed by both SCAR TCN and SCAR Lotus teams in the London 12 hour, also at Brands Hatch on Sunday 20th.

To help with all of our preparations for these events, I will be hosting a 90 minute endurance race on Friday evening. All classes of car are invited to the grid, to give us a mixed class race. All members of The Sunday Cup are welcome to come and join in this 1 off event. The lobby will be open at 8.30 GMT, with 10 minutes Quali at 8.50. The grid order will be fastest 1st. This will be a great warm up for the weekends races and a chance for all Sunday Cuppers to show their support and get involved.

All classes of cars are in the graphic below. Those who are competing at the weekend will be using the cars they are racing in, everyone else may choose their weapon.

Hopefully we will have a nice busy grid for this special event.

There will more than likely be a room open tonight for some practice and a few races. Last one of the series guys, let's get as many on track as we can!

There will be another room open tonight for some practice guys, remember race is this Sunday, oh and it's going to maybe rain, so practice might be a good idea. ☺

I will have a room open tonight from around 20:30. On a side note. Those emoticons have made it to GTP??? :grumpy:

With 6 points separating 1st and 2nd place. and 3 points between 3rd and 4th place, in the standings. This final race could see the entire table turned on its head when weather is taken into account.

Hopefully we'll see you tonight. 👍

Tonight is the final race of Type R Cup Season 2. This race promises to be a challenge for all participants with the combination of dynamic weather and technical track. 6 points separate 1st and 2nd place. To take the championship theewar needs to win with Cpt_D finishing no higher than 4th. The old saying is "Rain is a great equaliser". I guess tonight will tell us if there is any truth in the adage.

Given how well a short, alone on track qualifying has gone on the previous races and the fact I made errors in releasing cars to track, we will use the more recent method.

Finally. Here is your timetable, weather forecast and lobby rules.

As will said. It's great to see big numbers in the room. Will cpt garys lead in the c/ship be enough to hold off a (very much) on form warren. Going by cpt's pace last nite a race win is very possible. Will the weather (or people) play a part in it? Anxious times. Good luck everyone.

It's taken me far too long to get around to sorting the results.
So, without further ado.

Before the champion is declared. Though I think you may have worked it out already.

Thank you all for joining me for this series of races. It has been a fun, roller-coaster over each weekend. There have been points where I've had to make decisions which I would have like to not have needed to. Equally, Moments on track where I was punching well above my weight. This final race in particular. Given that no-one was running any ballast.

Here is the final points table.

Congratulations cpt! Well run season garyGary, altho the weight thing killed me lol all my own doing, suppose I'll have to come back and see if I can get this title now.

So some time has passed since the end of the Championship and altough some wounds are still being licked(by me),My reveiw of the Season is overdue.

The season started way,way better than I expected. I knew I had the car right for a win in Race 1 at the Nurb, lots of hours had been spent on getting the setup right for long runs and not only fast laps.Race two was a surprise as I know most of the drivers have great form around Fuji and practice sessions had shown that Cpt,Cobani,Soka,Weescotman also had great pace around this track. So getting a back to back win was fantastic and I asked myself could I get a hat trick(Football Term for 3 Goals in a row :) ). Race 3 Came and we had a new Driver on the Grid. This for me is where things began to go wrong. As far as I was and still am concerned, this Driver was punching well below his weight division and coming in on race 3 of an 8 Race championship was for me a no no.I know this makes me a hyppocrite as I done the same thing joining the Sunday Cup in Race two of the season,However I had spent two weeks in Practice lobbys with them before the race and found I was neither the fastest or slowest driver in the group. 2nd place was my finishing place in race 3.No Hat trick. Race 4 seen another win but I can say, only because the new Driver who joined in race 3 had not shown up.
By the 5th race my car was now carrying a lot of ballast and was really starting to make a difference to how the car behaved both in power and handling. That and my own mistake of not running it at the right power seen me finish well down the order. From here on in my season went from bad to worse and to top it all I now knew I would miss one of the future races due to a long over due holiday,6years since our last Holiday. The last race of the season came and although I was on the pace of the Fastest guys and no longer was carrying a Ton of weight,My Heart was no longer in it. I knew I had lost the championship and there was no real way of coming back and winning it outright with missing one race of the 8.The race was somewhat taken out of my hands after I made a panic pit stop for wet tyres on lap two and right there was the end of my Championship Participation. The only thing I feel bad for is Not Giving Cpt-D the last race fight I think we where both looking forward to. For This Cpt,I apologise. You are a well Deserving Type R cup 2 Champion.

At least this error didn't see you lose all your points. Two drivers did not classify in that particular race.

Had the weather gone the way you had expected, the end results may have been a very different affair.

I hope you will return to the next series and try to reclaim the title.
