I will be on tomorrow from 8.30pm. Probably the final practice for me as Saturday is Grand National and Boxing, Anthony Joshua FTW. So I will have been on the freshly pressed OJs most of the afternoon.

I'll be on tonight. And this time without network issues. Hope to get plenty of race time in. #itsonlikedonkeykong #onitlikeacarbonnet #luckyboxers

OK, so last night before the race. One more chance to get the set up right. So who's up for some fun tonight? We had a blast last night with some very very close racing! I'll not be about until about 9 tonight, so will catch anyone that's about.

I'd be interested in joining you tomorrow and for the rest of the series if I can. #25. Hopefully the network cooperates.
Added.

Though I've seen no evidence of such, a reminder to all tonight to respect the track limits. Especially at the chicanes.

The lobby will be open from 20:00 BST (11 hours time for non UK residents) I will send a PSN message to those online when I get the room open.

The weather will remain fixed at 30% (overcast but dry)

There are known visibility issues between some drivers. However, because of the recent instability of rooms, I won't run a fixed room. Avoiding the eventuality if I disconnect and pull everyone out as a result.

See you on track tonight 👍

As the problem is between me and goodwolf, and there has been no other disconnections. A fixed room would probably work better, failing that everyone needs to have their upnp enabled.

I enjoyed racing tonight even though there was no action for me in the first two thirds of the race.
I lost the fight to Jammy and Ade at that time and I was down one second to my best lap times during practice.

Just before and after my third pitstop, 11 minutes before the finish everything clicked and I was doing my best lap times of the week. I knew if I could just close the gap to Ade completely I should get him at the finish.
On the last lap I was close to put on some pressure. Ade was doing great until on one of the curbs his car almost turned on him, but Ade made a great recovery and on the exit out of Ascari placed the car so I couldn't keep my momentum and get an easy overtake. Going alongside Ade into Parabolica on the inside was very tricky because I had to outbreak him and take the inside line so Ade couldn't do a switch on me. As I done that perfectly and had a great exit I started to celebrate and then just before the finish line I was out of fuel. To see Ades face at that moment would be something. :)

Congrats to SoKa, Roflwaffle and Cpt_D!

Great race, really enjoyed it. Apologies to cpt. I had nowhere to go and actually thought i wasnt going to make the corner. I didnt think i put you in the wall and would have let you back past if i had known. The gap opened up but i thought i had just ruined your momentum. I did let you past without much of a fight thinking i could get towed around by you but that didnt work out either.

Congratulations SokaGT-Racing for taking the chequered flag after the hour had elapsed.

The gap between 1st and second place after the hour was only 1.260 seconds! A hard fought win. Well done

Here is the points table after the first race.

On a more personal note
The unfortunate event of Antares' D/C during the countdown to qualifying doesn't sit well with me. I would have enjoyed the event much more had there been no snags. But sadly that is in the hands of the GT and PSN gods.

I wasn't ever going to be battling for a podium but had fun racing with my peers at my end of the pack. Had I not ran out of fuel at the Lesmos turns I would have retained a position and an extra point by not being lapped. But now isn't the time to lament. Seeing the differing pit strategies of each driver made the event more exciting, in my opinion.

Onwards to Nürburgring GP/F.
Early lap times seem to indicate 2 minute laps are possible, maybe even breached. But not by a mere mortal like myself.

The weather in Germany in two weeks is currently forecast to be around 12 degrees with plenty of cloud and almost no chance of rain. Though this may change. I am checking real world weather at race locations on the dates and setting track conditions to simulate as such. You can check for yourself here.

After considering my options, I'm afraid I have to leave the series due to schedule restraints.

The races happen really early Monday morning and seeing as I'm about to start work soon, I don't think I'll be able to make time for this.

Thank you for your effort to join us. When all is said and done, real life comes first.

Great, great racing last night. After every pit stop, there was a different race leader. Podium places played out on the final lap after the clock had expired. Awesome! Well done to Rofl for an excellent first race. I smell a championship contender here. William had the speed to take the race, but having pitted at the end of lap 22, he didn't have the tank capacity to run for 10 laps. The exciting thing was that we crossed the line to start lap 32 with the clock at 10 secs!!! William slowed his car for the clock to expire on him before the line, but both myself and Rofl were going to just barely make it. So, destiny called for a 32nd lap. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.👍 Onto Nurb.
