Yep, really great evenings racing. Having to think out the pit stops on the fly was a challenge and when I saw some cars go in after 7 laps, I did wander if they may run into trouble later on. I pitted on lap 8 for my first stop and then on lap 16. I kept my 3rd stint slightly shorter and came in on lap 23. This worked out perfectly with 9 laps on thd final stint, but I only just made it across the line.

Had some great tustles with Goodwolf throughout the final third of the race and Jammy a bit earlier on.

On the last lap I knew Goodwolf was closing in on my bumper and then was surprised to see Weescotman and Theewar limping along with no fuel.

Coming through Ascari for the last time and GW was setting himself up for a pass at Parabolica. I knew he was gonna take the inside so positioned myself for the faster outside exit to try and get his slip coming up to the finish. But then his car just slowed as he ran out of fuel. Unlucky Del boy, it was great fun.

Cheers everyone for a great race.

I will try to get some laps in on Friday evening. Otherwise I'll be very unprepared for Sunday. Any laptime indications for comparisons?

Pay little attention to the Weescotman.

Weather will be present this race with room settings set to

60% Weather at race start
Weather changability 3

This reflects the current real world forecast at Nürburg.

My current best is 2:03.6. But the 2 minutes barrier has been breached. I was privileged to witness a 1:59.960. However Warren would not have managed to get back to the pit lane with the tiny amount of fuel he had left.

Race day is upon us again. Tonight will see us compete at Nürburgring GP/F for victory and more points on the table. Can SoKaGT-Racing get another win? Will those who ran out of fuel at Monza, learn from their mistakes and come back stronger? Will the weather hold, will it work to some drivers favour or will it ruin everyone's strategy? Only time will tell.

The lobby will be opened around 20:00 BST. A PSN message will be sent to those online.

See you on track 👍

I don't plan on finishing last again this week. Hopefully.

I have to say this, and I'm sure there will be a few more join in. The weather system doesn't work, I don't know if it's the settings for the room that **** things up or what but that wasn't fun in the slightest. Even running race sims in practice the weather worked, we could tell what water was on track, but come race day, nothing! I was even wanting it to rain, as my pace was decent when I knew what tyres to be on. Now I know I'll get the "you should be able to judge the wetness" p-cars doesn't have this function and so on, the weather % is there to help, this isn't p-cars. It's gt and as messed up as it is it's all some of us have to race with for the time being. So with that, if there's a weather race I won't be taking part as I won't race with a broken system in place.

Well done Dubravko and Warren and to the rest who managed to go all the way to the chequered flag last night. I was disappointed to see Rofl suffer a dc, I know the feeling, I've been there one too many times. Anyway, the race was very hard trying to get the feeling of the tarmac as it got wet having no indication about its saturation. That's why I made so many mistakes. By my calculations I lost more than half a minute doing off track excursions. After a big off on the last corner just after my first pit stop on lap 8, I saw Warren 16 secs in front. At that point I thought 1st place was lost. And that's why last night's racing was so fun. Everybody kept making mistakes, exchanging places all the time. In the end, 16 secs was a minor gap. Even the system had placed traps along the way for us to stumble upon. Like when we drove into the pit lane, the system had the ready option of the hard compound to choose, even though on the previous pit stop we had chosen the intermediate. Every time you had to be calm and change the option to the intermediate. A few made that mistake and found themselves with hards on a very wet tarmac. And they paid the price with a very long lap and an extra pit stop. I kept my usual routine, pit stop every 15 minutes. I also set up the car with a higher ride height, thus making it a joy to drive on the wet. No twitces, no sudden moves from the back, nice acceleration on the exits, stable entries.👍👍👍

Ok, onto the broken system discussion. First off, I prefer dry races. If we have to do wet, so be it. Last night's race, was a wet race, and with a broken system. The end result? Fun fare!!!:dunce::)👍. But this is only my opinion. I respect other peoples opinions about not having a fun race. Let's have a discussion about it, and even do a democratic vote about having the weather system on or off. But, it's one thing to declare not having fun, and another to blackmail with boycotting the series if GC doesn't stop the weather system. This kind of behavior is wrong by my standards. I say let's vote. And after that, everyone who have committed themselves to this series, to respect the result, whichever that is.

It's the same with every race car series I've ever been a part of and why I generally avoid them. The people who don't do well complain the system is broken and the people who do well say they love it and it was fun. If there isn't something everybody is arguing about, you're clearly not racing with slicks and downforce.

Me, I never practice for anything so I don't have any expectations of how things are supposed to be. It's just a fun race and adapt on the fly and don't give up because things don't go how you planned, mostly because there isn't a plan

I didn't say I love it. I said it was fun. And I too complain about the broken system, simply because the system was broken. It's a fact. It's not something people who didn't do well raise as an argument. It's something that in my opinion we should discuss, and surely not something to avoid!

Who's boycotting? I stated my points and said if there is another weather race I won't take part. That's not blackmail/boycotting. Get stuff straight before stirring the pot.

William, when you say that you will not take part in the event of another weather race, it's like putting a knife to GC's throat. It's either you, or the weather. That's simply not fair.

How exactly? I said it last night I won't race with a broken system, ade did as well. I don't think for one min that the championship revolves around me like your saying it does, couldn't really give a toss to be perfectly honest.

Exactly! The championship doesn't revolve around you, it revolves around EVERYONE who take part. That's why we should ALL have a voice TOGETHER. Not individually.

The word Fair meaning

adjective
  1. 1.
treating people equally without favouritism or discrimination.
adverb
  1. 1.
without cheating or trying to achieve unjust advantage.
The weather system lastnight was without a doubt the worst I think any of us have seen.

If weather/Rain is going to be a part of the Championship, perhaps it's better to make it one or the other Rain or Dry.

Thanks Warren. I meant it both ways. I also like the option you propose. Must confess I hadn't thought about it. Surely would put it under consideration. You problem solver you

I don't have a problem with voting yes or no to the weather, you seem to have made this a personal thing about me soka. I stated my intention last night, not as an ultimatum. The championship will go on if I'm in it or not. I don't expect anything to change most of you enjoyed it last night, some didn't.

And I fully agree with warrens definition of the word fair, maybe read the second meaning and let it sink in.

Yes, but it would be much much better to have you in, no matter the room settings. If I were GC for example, I would stop the weather system, simply because I want to keep racing with you. Some of the others would agree with me,others wouldn't. Why must we go through a situation like this? Let's all have a say about the whole community. That's what I'm saying.

This is my race report of last nights Nurburgring's spectacle.

The build up was, due to real life, non existent. No practice, so the only laps I did were in the practice when the room opened.
Given there was a good change of rain, I went with full downforce and raised the ride height.

Quali was good as I qualified in 7th. Close enough to the front runners and with a reasonable gap behind.

The race was awesome, I enjoyed the battles I had with Blue and Megg (a battle as in trying to hold on to your ass that is) and others as well. With the rain being rainy and the grip less and less I opted for inters after my first off just before my scheduled pit stop. It was all guess work because of the above mentioned bug. The inters worked pretty well for the most part and matching the pace of the leader, I opted to keep the inters as the preferred tires. It was an intense race to the flag with all the positions changes and little offs that were happening around the track. Coming in 5th was 1 better than my goal of a top 6 finish.

I enjoyed the race, the battles, the unpredictability, the tensions and Linda's @ss as she kept picking up stuff near the tv. That also accounted for one of the offs I had.

The game is broken, it was a shame Roffle was disconnected and others unable to drive the car due to the brokenness of the game. I had a lovely evening and hope to see you all next time out at Brands. I hear the weather can be a b!tch over there ...

With respect, Bo

Well done to those that made the right decisions regarding tyre choices in last night's race. The problem for those of us that practised races with changing conditions is that the indicator for track saturation was working perfectly well. Race night lt's a different story, another example of Polyphony/Sony's broken or incomplete game leading to frustration for it's players, wondering whether to bother at all.

GC has made the effort to put another great series together, it should be he who decides to continue with weather races or not.

I was saying this game is not that good since day one. Does anyone listens. No, and you were right not to listen because what else would we use to race on PS3, GRID? You get the best that you can and go racing or you watch others do it on internet or tv. Boring.
I chose and bought this game just to have fun with you guys. Best online racers I have ever met and I raced at RD, R2P and rallyesim.com
The people that come close are Croatian and RD rally community.

During my simracing I raced in worse conditions and gran turismo never got the wet conditions right. It was always more of an ice show really.

OK maybe not this kind of a ice show but you can see here what I mean.

After the 24 hours of Daytona last year, the worst race conditions I experienced in GT, I knew what I was signing up for and that I can do the same in a less powerful car with the right setup.

This time you couldn't just jump into a lobby and change it, you had to make a compromise; go full wet or say "I don't give a damn, it won't rain and I'll come out with my dry setup."

I have problems when I'm setting up the car for dry racing. I'm not only looking to get quicker around the track but to get the damn thing to oversteer so I can get the car to turn in the way I like it. During the practice I failed I couldn't do it and when the rain started I had the same problem as some of you had in the race yesterday. I was turning around at 10% "Track Surface Water" while you were speeding up. So I stopped working on oversteer and started working on a stable setup that would give me the same lap times. I managed to do that and with my wet racing expiriance I finished in 2nd.

I never heard anyone at Daytona saying the game is broken. You can only say that if you used inters on time with default setup. Racing hards are slicks and they don't like water, you get aquaplaning and that's the problem because in our club races even when we use these weather conditions we are racing on sport tyres and they have grooves.
