The race was frustrating for me last night. Due to personal commitments I didnt get as much practice in as I would have liked. However I was happy with times in the 2.02s during the sessions I did find the time to attend.
So last nights race started and the car felt good. Although there was rain there was also grip. The plan was to pit after 8 laps but I think I came in after 7 after very suddenly loosing all grip. Zero track saturation so I stayed on the RH tyre which was the default coming into the pits. When I came out I spun almost immediatly. I almost took out Damon and Socal trying to get the car moving.
After poodling around and quite a few more spins I called it a day.
Now you all know that normally im no quitter. Finishing in the top end of the field does not matter to me. If it did I would have given up long ago. I just want to be able to enjoy a good evenings racing with some good door to door battles, and unfortunately last night wasnt going to reward me with that.
You also know that ive never been a fan of wet races, so the prospect of carrying on with a broken weather system had no appeal to me at all. If the track saturation indicator had worked it would have been a different story, as I would have known to switch to inters at my first stop.
It may be worth looking at reducing race quality for future weather races, and definately turning off visual damage, as both of these contribute to overloading the game, especially with a full lobby.
I fully understand that most of you had an enjoyable race and can manage to work round the challenge of not having it, but I really rely on the saturation indicator.
Im not going to say that I wont take part in weather/wet races, because I will, but if the weather system is broken, as it was last night I will pull out of the race. Not because I know I wont do very well, but because I dont enjoy it.
