It's been a hell of a weekend. The SCAR TCN-1 CR-Z looks to have won it's class at the GTP Endurance Series Tsukuba 4 hour event. Congratulations to @megg230 and @J Daniels for some stellar driving. But it's not over yet.

Tonight 43 laps of Mid-Field Raceway await. There is a possibility of rain, so be prepared.

As usual here is the event timetable, weather forecast and lobby rules.

See you on track from 20:00 BST tonight.

Awesome race tonight and the ballast is certainly mixing the usual finish position of quite a few drivers.

Congratulations to TRL_Andromeda, theewar and GTP_Cpt_D.

Full results to be posted tomorrow evening.

Well....great racing again guys, I was a little shocked at my lack of pace but if through any race I feel my race craft is good, that makes me a happy boy.

So one squirrelly moment and the slightest of rubs with @jammyrex, as I showed my nose to apply some late pressure is alright by me.

But my pace!!??

I had run most of the week just practicing in the TT lobby, the car felt good, I was running comfortably under 07s, getting 06.3s-.4s.

Knowing I would be away from Friday till race day at my cousins wedding, I posted an actual time so GC would have an idea of my release position. And that time (1:06:484 I think) was pretty much par for the course for me, so I left content.

Got home on Sunday at around 4, still slightly hungover, so had a lie down until about 7:45. Once I woke up properly got in the lobby about 8:20. Did my checks and I was good to proceed.

The moment GC released me and asked to hold station as others completed their flyer, my heart dropped. I immediately
squirrelled onto the grass on the right. The car felt extremely disconnected front and back. Turn one, it didn't turn in, the essess after turn two I had scary oversteer, then no turn in for the first right for the tunnel. All the way round I was tippey toeing.
So for most of the race I was foraging for new brake markers an turn in points. It was very strange. To me the car felt completely different from how smooth and buttery it was through the week.

During the race my fastest lap was a 1:06:53x????? I've not known myself to not beat my quali or best practice time during the race before.

But believe me when I say I'm not in bleet mode or fishing for some glitch acknowledgement, I'm putting it down to being away from the game and seeing off about 2 bottles of JD Tennessee Honey on top of pints the previous 2 days.

So a couple of questions:

Do you guys ever have trouble or how long does it take you to get back in the groove if you've had some time away from the game? It seems I have to be constantly exposed to it to be competitive or I lose all feel very quickly.

Do you ever find you've made a set-up for a car (even the ones that rarely come out the garage: I'm still a collecting freak for authentic replica photos but I'll still drive and tweak them) be happy with it, but come back weeks/months later and find it feels terrible?

This is me just gauging how natural some of you are and how easy it is for you to tune to your style (haven't worked out what mine is)

Right that sounds like a moan, but I've written it now, but it couldn't be further from the truth. The fact is, I wouldn't want to drive with anyone else but the S.C.A.R. crew. With @GTP_ADE and @CTR Driver at the helms I hope to be part of it as long as it lasts.

With that in mind, I'd like to welcome @TRL_Andromeda and hope we rub off on him as much as I'd like he to rub off on us. OOOER!!!!
For GC it looks like he already did. Fnarrr!!!! fnarrrr!!! (Finbar Saunders: Google it)

We won't mention the other 2 on the podium because 'They ain't heavy, they're my brothers!!!!' Oh wait....

Well done all! ****ing love it!

Did Bo run out of time then? Or he had other plans? That would have really made it fun at the front.

Here Kev @jammyrex this is the vid I used for cleaning pedals. I've had blipping pedals twice in 3.5 yrs including last weekend and it's worked every time. The base will be covered in fluff even if you have no pets.

It's not all bad though, I got to drive the old mans grand tourer most of the weekend when not drunk.

Apparently I ran out of time due to real life hiccups. Real shame as I really tried my best to attend the lobby as soon as I possibly could and had been running a solid pace for two weeks during practice. Needless to say I had no urge to watch the race. I visited gutted.com instead.

It's late and things haven't gone too smoothly in the creation of the graphics, so more from me tomorrow.

As usual I leave you with a weather forecast for the next event. Expect the TT room to be up in the next day or so.

It's gonna be a wet one 🤬:eek::nervous::scared:

That's exactly the reason for the TT room in the first place. That and a dedicated space to set up your car.

Sorry about that. With the other things going on, my feel for the track wasn't quite as good as maybe it should have been. It seems to have affected you worst.

I'm rarely away from the game for more than a couple of days. My consistency has improved of late and sometimes I feel that I was doing better and a need to re-find my groove. But only in the last 3-4 months or so.

Do you ever find you've made a set-up for a car (even the ones that rarely come out the garage: I'm still a collecting freak for authentic replica photos but I'll still drive and tweak them) be happy with it, but come back weeks/months later and find it feels terrible?

For the last 6 months, as well as running no ABS I've also been running cars with stock or a modest general tune. Minor tweaks to gearbox and brake balance where needed but otherwise leaving the car alone. My reasoning is the car is a fixed value, the driver is a dynamic value. If I can adjust to the car in any given situation it'll be better all round. I'll practice racecraft skills and push my limits. Which in the end can only be a good thing.

With that in mind, I'd like to welcome @TRL_Andromeda and hope we rub off on him as much as I'd like he to rub off on us. OOOER!!!!

Sadly, I had to draw a line somewhere. Please don't hate me Bo.

Finally the prize haul has expanded and 2nd place in the championship will receive, on top of a years GTP subscription, an official Super GT Supporters Club 20Kg Handicap Pin.

I think you misconstrue me mate :sly:, I had no problems with the release, it was my car feeling like a completely different handling beast to the TT room from a couple days earlier.
I'd obviously lost my groove with it come Sunday night or a drastic difference in track temp. but I think it was just me.
It was a slippery sucker that I could just about get round the track?!! That's for sure.

Never mind, I have a SCAR avatar 'I will ride eternal, shiny and chrome!'

Seems I still don't how to use this quote thing for just snippets. Knob.

Great race on Sunday, if a little disappointing from my point of view, to suffer mechanical issues...

First of all, congrats to TRL_Andromeda, theewar and GTP_Cpt_D.

I'd only had one practice session (on Friday), but was quite happy with my pace having posted a 1:06.2... No set up work, apart from a tweak to gearing and downforce.

Qualifying went OK, but like scholesy1899, my car didn't seem to be the same one initially... Qualified in 7th....

Made a decent start, and had a fab first two laps.... Made a nice overtake on Megg, then managed to get past theewar and captain (?) to take 4th spot. Then..... Car doesn't seem right.... Fellow racers all over my exhaust pipes literally pushing me along... Accelerating up the hill on the start /finish straight, I got mugged by 3 cars - disaster - mechanical failure!! My accelerator pedal was flickering at the top end of the travel, throttle was at about 85% power... I considered retiring there and then... I carried on for a couple of laps, somehow managing to stay in front of GC and scholesy1899, who must have been aware that I was wounded?! I started to drive around the problem by stamping hard on the pedal which would clear it but the problem kept returning. It affected my concentration and I left the track at a couple of points, letting GC and scholesy1899 through.

However, I had a new focus for the race, to try and get past scholesy1899. It turned out to be a sweet battle, after the pitstops I managed to home in on him, and eventually make the move at the end of the straight. I then made a mistake to give another chance to scholesy1899, who got ahead in the tunnel but I was back past again by the first turn; great, close racing! He had one more opportunity but I defended into the first turn, and preserved my position.

So, a very hard fought race. Mechanical issues did their best to thwart it, but I'm glad I persevered and got to the finish. I hope that I will be able to fix the problem before the next race, but I don't really have a clue as I've not opened the pedals before. @scholesy1899 thanks for the YouTube video link mate... This is my homework to complete before the next race!

What's the surface water set at?
Surface water at start is set to 30%, but I guess you know that already.

Sorry for the blackout. I've just returned from 4 nights away in the West Country, camping. Meaning no Internet for a majority of the time and places I was in. Even when I did have signal it was weak at best.

Usual service showdown resume. I hope to get a practice room up tonight for around 20:30. It'll be good to get back in the saddle after a mini-break.

I hope to see some of you tonight 👍

Happening guys? Thought I'd check in and see how you all are, I really should have packed the ps3 as the tv in my apartment is like 50" at least lol loving the time out here and just back from seeing my sis get married at Pitt Meadows (Adam Sandler fans should know this name) currently it's 2am and I'm sitting in Tim Hortons having a coffee before I hit the hay for the night. I'll fill you all in with more details when I'm back home and online, as there's just been to much amazing crazy stuff happen along with the folk I've met, rambling now so take care and speak to you all soon, xx

Today is race day at the wettest race so far. Put your wellingtons on, you may need them if your car gets stuck in the mud.

Here are the fastest laps recorded so far. These have been achieved with track saturation ranging from 55-80%.

Apricot Hill fastest laps
theewar...1:25.276
GTP_Cpt_D...1:25.525
megg230...1:26.490
GC255...1:28.079

Got tempted with night shift money Fri and last night. MOD are having their Lynxes overhauled.

25s!!!!!!!!!!!!!! **** you two, oh and Megg, since I've seen his TT time.:sly:

I even did a virtual track walk to find the best lines. I'm doing 27s........well that's actually par for the course I s'pose.

I've been unable to run a comfortable lap before it becomes 100%, two sighters and it's been ha-whammy!!!!!

It's the day after the night before. Here are the results

A couple of orders of business. I am trying to be fair to every participant with these.

The timetable laid out will be adhered to, as closely as possible. I will send PSN messages to those online whilst the room is open before the race. Please try to be punctual. If you are already in the room, or I can see you trying. Qualifying can be held for a reasonable period.

SoKaGT-Racing has had a post race penalty of 30 seconds due to posting a subsequent faster qualifying time after his allotted super lap.

And finally your weather forecast for two weeks time.
TRC2-Race-5_zpslr3r9psv.png

The settings for Suzuka will be slightly different to reflect it being a quarter length race as opposed to a half length race.
Tyre and fuel wear will be set to very fast.

And scoring will be,
1st 25 points
2nd 18 points
3rd 13 points
4th 10 points
5th 8 points
6th 6 points
7th 5 points
8th 4 points
9th 3 points
10th 2 points

Ha ha! I completely forgot about the super lap! And I was so proud to post a faster lap, seconds before the end of quali. I think the penalty should be the 2 places I gained instead of just 30 seconds. It was a very enjoyable race for me being on this reverse track for the very first time with absolutely no practice and on wet tarmac! I was literaly learning the track with each lap. Got the fuel wrong at every pit stop I did. Had to pit for fuel 2 laps before the end, and still ran out after the last turn.

Then your car would be lighter still.

Other than the reason for the penalty, you raced a good race. Had it not been for your running out of fuel, you may have retained 3rd place.

You can thank Cpt_D for me using the reverse track. He suggested it for another event quite a while back. Saying it had a far superior flow and rhythm. Afterwards, I had to say I agreed with him.

Hey lads, a little OT but thought I'd mention it.
GRID:Autosport is a tenner on PSN. Didn't give this a thought when it came out but with AI on hard or very hard it is certainly entertaining and a real challenge.
Can't argue at a tenner either. Just something to get your offline career type fix.
If GT7 has anywhere near this kind of AI pace (they are still as stupid) I'll be very happy.

Apologies for the lateness of this post. I hope to have a room open for practice tonight from around 20:00 to 22:00.

These sessions help determine release order for the main event.

Please drop by, if you are able.

Quite an enjoyable 1st practice session last night. Not too busy, but from a personal standpoint a reasonable amount of progress made. So much so, I might have done a Sholesy.

The tyres start to show a drop off in grip around lap 5 of a stint. Fuel looks like it will run out around 7 laps. Though 8 may be possible with prudent driving and the right gearbox.

Here are the practice times so far

Suzuka 2014 fastest laps
GC255... 1:58.271
megg230... 1:58.470
GTP_Cpt_D... 1:58.529
theewar...1:59.010

Tonight's room should once again be open from around 20:00. We have a team competing in the GTP Endurance Series VLN 3 tonight from 19:00. Please show your support for megg230 and theewar in the TCN-1 class, and SoKaGT-Racing and Goodwolf in the GT Cup class. Good luck gentlemen.

My TRC practice room is available for pre-race warm up and debrief. Should you want it.

It's looking like I won't be opening a room at the time I said. I'm currently on the way home from a daytrip and will be lucky to get back by 20:00.

Race day once more.

Tonight we have 44 laps at Suzuka 2014. I should have the room open from around 20:00 BST I will PSN message anyone who is / comes on before the race, to remind you.

Please be prompt.

As always here is your timetable, Room settings and lobby rules.

I'm afraid I'll be unable to get results done today. Real life has thrown one of those spanners in the works.

I've had my drivers side window regulator cable snap and I've just had to spend the last couple of hours trying to find a way to get something tomorrow to wedge the window shut.

In short I'm a little tired to concentrate on getting the results done properly / accurately.
