I'm not sure about that one then provided you have a front aero option and the flat floor fitted and your power mods screen looks like mine, you should be fine. There isn't a lot of scope to be out of spec short of running the power limiter too high.

Anychance I could join please :).

Not run any laps yet, but will get some practice before hand.

Race number 7 complete and the addition of 3 reserve drivers made for a busy track.

Here is your podium

Congratulations to everyone who participated and making it home. I'm looking forward to the final event. Lets hope I don't have to do a Bernie Eccleston

As I have mentioned I'm looking to give out some spot awards from the series.
No prizes, just the public recognition of either, a great overtake, An excellent show of sportsmanship or just something a little amusing. If you can think of anything, please let me know (and when it happened).

As usual, More complete results tomorrow.

See you next race 👍

Nice race last night :) congrats to the podium finishers and all who took part.

I've been struck down by illness over the past week or so, and was again not able to participate in any practice sessions... So the first taste of this track and car combo was qualifying ten mins before the race, with no setup applied or any thoughts of strategy! Eeeeek!

All things considered, 12th was a decent result, the best I could have hoped for, and my best race laptime wasn't too bad. Opted to start on SS, thought there must have been something wrong with the spec of the car as it seemed so slow, but was just me not being familiar with the tyres and how they perform on this track and how much slower they were than the RH. When I changed onto the RH, it was a pleasant surprise!

Will try and participate in a couple of practice sessions before the next race and hopefully be able to mix it up with the midfield a bit more!

There is a fair gap in performance between SS and RH tyres in this spec car. Coupled with the fast tyre wear, makes for interesting racing strategies.

Yeah as I found out! I stayed out too long on my first set of RH tyres - had I have completed a more even number on each stint I would have probably shaved 10 to 15 seconds from my race time. But anyway, plenty of fun was had during the race, wringing the neck of the Type R around Spa was great!

it was brought to my attention and I already know that my pit screw totally needed more practice time as my tire choices and pit stops were all over the place. My apologies for the extremely poor performance and I will get my team together for the next race.

On another note hope that you recover soon Jammy!!

Thanks Socal :)

Looks like you were in the same boat as me then, we both went into it rather unprepared it would seem! I was surprised to see you behind me at the pitstop , didn't realise we were running so close at that point!

Great evenings racing. From practice during the week with the usual suspects, I had managed to get my PB down to a 2.28.634, so I knew I had the pace to make a midfield challenge. I started on the RH tyre, and had a great time chasing Cobani and Brian for the first 7 or 8 laps. Then I seemed to gain on them as their tyres started to go off. I managed to get past, but my tyres were also on the turn, and I was loosing tons of time each lap. Brian and Bo got back past me, but I managed to get back in front of Brian on my first pit stop after 9 laps. Onto the SS tyre, which I hadnt practiced on, so I took it easy for a few laps. I soon got used to the tyres, but was struggling to keep pace to those on the RH at the time. After completing the 6 laps, it was back onto the RH for the rest of the race. I rejoined in last place, and pushed the car to its limit. Come the end of the race, I had clawed my way back to 8th place, so was well pleased. I had some great battles throughout the race, with Cobani, GC Gary, Brian, Canary, Goodwolf, Jammy and Socal. It was also great to see Hasslemoff join us for this race, always a pleasure to race with.

I couldn't have put it more succinctly Ade.

Anyway, that's not why I'm here. The full results from Spa.

In other news, Suzuka will be....

Double points!!!

The way I am looking at this, is this.

The top four drivers are now in with a challenge at the series win. Even me sat in 6th, If I pull something miraculous from my backside, might reach the series podium.
(I doubt it will happen, the caliber of driver here is just too good. But I live in hope.)

Here's to you guys. Without you, this wouldn't be what it has become

See you on track 👍

I loved the racing and the combo. Great to see so many familiair names on the grid!
Had some awesome battles as I changed my strategy at the last moment to race with the pack. Good fun with Ade & Brian! Going for RH for the second stint paided off as some of the frontrunners were on SS. All the way up to 3rd just before what I thought would be my final stop. Being busy making sure I wouldn't run out of fuel I did not switch to SS. had to come in again and went from third to seventh.

Great fun night of racing gentlemen!

Jammy at least you had a reason not to be at your best. My debacle had no excuse and I have finally gotten over the embarrassment so on to Suzuku!!! :gtpflag:

I'm hoping to be able to get on tonight to kick off practice for Suzuka. Expect me to get on around 20:00. I'll send out psn messages if you're on.

In other news, the more astute amongst you may have noticed I have double booked myself for practice and 500pp club V's club event tomorrow evening.

I will open the Type R practice as usual around 20:00 but I and a few others will leave around 21:00. There are still a couple of seats available if you fancy joining in, teaming up against the American team. First come first served.

Check the first post in the 500pp club link in my signature.

Just thought that, if there is a log of events/races kept with past seasons and everything, it should keep a log on fastest qualifying laps as well. What do you think chaps?

I'm not sure I fully understand. But I'll try to answer what I think your asking.
Qualifying laps from races aren't in the saved replay so I've no way to recall them to put on the break down of each race.

This is what I took from the last race at spa to get the starting grid.

What I mean is, just before qualifying ends, we could take a note of the fastest lap on the bottom right of the screen, so that when you keep the race data for archiving purposes, you will also have the fastest qualifying time which in my mind is essential data. Just like real life racing's most important timing data: race fastest time - qualifying fastest time. In other words, imagine if someone for whatever reason asks from you a race's fastest qualifying time, your answer will be " I don't know " ?
