Blah, Holland was terrible... Defence was one big gaping hole and they werent working together AT ALL after the first 10-15 min. Don't see them beating Portugal with play like this. Better start concentrating on 2014 in Brazil... :P

Balotelli really needs to start acting professional, because he is really dangerous. And if he can play to his potential, who knows, Italy may wins this tournament.

As he is demonstrating, two great passes to him, and he's done nothing with it.

Mandzukic plays for Wolfsburg, just goes to show how good the Bundesliga has become.
Yeah, especially seeing how Wolfsburg isn't even that good of a club.

By the way, am I the only one who thinks that Italy really isn't delivering? I mean, none of the top teams seemed to be in perfect shape, really, but I would've thought that Italy could do bette than that against Croatia.

Can i just ask when mandzukic's name came up just after he scored it said he scored 3 goals in 2 games....but i thought his 2nd v ireland went down as an own goal? because it hit the post and then hit shay given on the back of his head and went in

I also thought they would play better, they did in the first half, they just dropped off in the second. When Croatia stepped up.

The croats will be happy with this result.

Spain and ireland make 1 change each..torres in for fabregas and cox in for doyle

Go Ireland, my closest family tie to Europe! :D

/hopeless

But really, how about a 1-0 Irish win off a Robbie Keane goal? That would produce one jubilant CAM ;).

Being a Scotland supporter (who can remember when we used to qualify for tournaments), I know all too well what it feels like staring down the barrel of a gun (Brazil v Scotland in France '98, anyone?)... Ireland could go down in flames tonight, but they will always have a chance if Spain underestimate them... would be great to see Ireland take the lead, or better still, pull off a shock result... come on Ireland :)👍

I meant 2-1. That was a typo ;).

It's all part of the plan, the Irish are just lulling them into a false sense of security, and then they will strike... ;)

It's a trap(patoni)!

In reference to Brazil - Scotland in '98, we went a goal down within the first 5 minutes, and then the closest thing to a miracle I have ever witnessed happened - we started outplaying Brazil, got a penalty, and leveled the score. Scotland went on to score the winning goal in that game too - shame it was an OG :ouch:
