Got home around 9:10 in the end. I think, I wasn't really paying attention to the time!

Had a great weekend, good to meet the newbies and race against the old hands again too. Had some cracking races, and in what seems to be becoming a trend, a couple of very close races with Famine which I really enjoyed. The one in the M5s (I think) at Monaco (definitely) was a lot of fun.

I'm sure there will be some results up at some point (... sorry, couldn't keep a straight face on that one) but to cut a long story short, I won this time :D First time at a GTP event I've won more than just the Clio enduro.

Trophy time:

The Corvette was for the Al Gore Eco Challenge (pick'n'mix), the yellow car (forgotten what it is) was for the Group B handicap event, the red GTO was for the SUV handicap, and the Ferrari glass was my enduro prize. Thanks to the team on that one, Grim and Sureboss :D

More pics (less those of people's cars, until I've edited them and blurred the numberplates)

Famine drives something called a Typer. I'd always assumed that was a profession but apparently it's a car. Either way, VTAK kicked in, yo.

More pics tomorrow :)

Congrats HFS on taking home all the goodies.

Loox like you all had a lot of fun.

As for this mileage contest you all have going, I beat you all hands down.
694 miles have been added to the megane since saturday morning.

Only one of my eyes is bloodshot.....

:irked:👍

Congrats HFS on taking home all the goodies.

Thanks. It appears that you were actually right. Apparently in your absence I've won all the events that you would have won otherwise :P

Only one of my eyes is bloodshot.....

I can beat that, both of mine are. The Devil rang this morning, he wants me to give his scary back.

Yes. I am very deaded. Very deaded indeed.

Top of my head results are:
70's Babies Handicap - Roo (from daan in a race-off)
Super Saloon Handicap - Sureshot (from homeforsummer in a race-off)
SUV Handicap - homeforsummer
Algore Eco Challenge - homeforsummer
DTM Pick'n'Mix - Famine
Group B Pick'n'Mix - homeforsummer
Clio Endurance at Opera Paris - The Grim Reaper/Sureshot/homeforsummer

I won the Super Saloon's after HFS decided to hit every single wall at Hong Kong in the Integrale race-off. He did win the Group B's, which you are missing.

Well Car-less' record device has got good video but the sound is hilarious. I can't find any of the recordings that went straight on to my laptop after we transferred during/before the enduro on Sunday. Any idea where they were saved to?

Ah, found them.

Okay so the recordings that were done on Roo's laptop and then transferred to mine have strange sound. I'll have to edit them unless anyone wants a Psychedelic trip? (Which in the AlGore stuff may be appropriate.) The videos that were recorded straight on to my HDD have recorded my speaker, which gives some interesting running commentary and replay commentary. :D

Got a replay of my race with daan around Opera in the Beige beast and his RSC. :nervous:

Nooo, racing and sleeping and still alive? Y'all must be female. :nervous:

I would also like to point out that I passed hfs on the A19 on the way home. Which was probably the only time during the weekend I passed him and made it stick!

I'm almost certain I made a similar comment after I passed VEXD last year on my way back from the Douze :D

You would have caught me sooner but after doing 🤬 MPH on the way back from Roo's all the way home I found myself travelling at around 🤬 most of the way back (including the roundabouts...) until I hit the A19, when I backed off to around 65. That roundabout with the lane going around the outside for traffic going straight on was a lot of fun at around 50-odd :D

Specialised/EXelero for dropping in to show us the Beat.

It was great to see everyone again, and to meet the new guys. Here's to the next time.

...and for those that think they got a good run home - I left the Shell station at 15:25 and was home 169 miles away by 18:05, mostly cross country with less than 30 miles of motorway. I may have forgotten I had finished playing gt4 as there was some squealing tyres, drafting etc employed!

It was a pleasure!

Just to explain the phenominal speed of the beat, we left you all at 6.30ish and arrived home at 11.30 ish after only one stop for food!

Thank you to everyone halting what they were doing to accommadate our short stay. We would have stayed longer, but there was just no way we were spending the night in the Beat (as much as I love it!).

And thanks to you and Specialized for bringing it along :) The only trouble is I want one now...

On the subject of real rather than virtual cars, some of the GTPers vehicles from the weekend:

Not pictured: The Lolvo, the Meriva that Grim brought along, and all the wrecks in the yard. Nor my MX5 and Daan's 406, which remained up in the Norf.

But yeah, I want a Beat now, damnit.

Oh my, what a shiny red Honda....

Roo's mini loox tiny from that angle, Home.

I can't believe you haven't posted pix of the merivan.
What spec was it? A club? or Life, or maybe even the Design?
Corr, just think of the sleeping space.......

:irked:👍

Sureshot is slowly appearing in our universe like a Cheshire Cat...

You know, I've got fewer photos of you than I have of the Devon Ninja. You'll have to come to ours in October so we can photograph you. Repeatedly.

If only Barrymore had a labrador. Lil' doggeh could have eaten the evidence. Looks like you had fun. When's the next one?
