I'm definitely trying out Car Sauna soon. Pity the weather has decided to take a turn for the worse and the temperature is only 20 degrees today.

But one day, mark my words!

Oh, and Michael Macintyre was fantastic, love his comedy. 👍

Episode 4 - Preview

Source: Top Gear Website

A quick update from the Top Gear studio today, where rehearsals are now well underway and fastest-man-on-Earth Usain Bolt is out on the track in our reasonably priced car.

We’ve had a look at the script and highlights this week include Jeremy being chased by the British Army in some of their deadliest toys, while Richard and James compare the new Porsche Panamera against a small envelope, a 39p stamp and the logistical might of the Royal Mail in a race from one end of the British Isles to the other.

I believe this is the episode where they destroy that Evo that was confiscated by the police. It should be awesome.

That episode was ok'ish, I thought they were wasting alot of time.

I love the SL Black just for its pure crazyness but I dont like that its still just a facelift of the old SL's bodywork, there needs to be an all new SL.

The Rally thing was really boring to me, maybe it was the fact that May didnt seem very enthusiastic (Hammond would have been better for that). Im more of an old skool rally guy and im not for this "NFSU" style rally stuff, Dirt 2 is going to be full of it.

The car sauna bit was brilliant , I wonder if the E-Class was there for a test which might be shown at a later date.

The rest of the show was not all that memorable, although when I saw the 500's I thought someone here at GTP is going to be happy! :sly:

Roomster Stratos doorlines!

Compared to episode 2, episode 3 was a joke. Oh well, hope episode 4 will be better. I'm off for another TG Vietnam Special now 👍

Something to look forward to in future TopGear

Jay Leno himself confirmed that he just filmed for Star In The Reasonably Priced Car. I dont no if it's going to be this Sundays episode but whenever it broadcasts, you know its gonna be epic

:D

Spoiler tags are just
and
(without the spaces).

Sounds cool!

I thought Senor Bolt was on next week's episode? My guess is that Leno is in a week or so, when they test the Focus RS (based on the videos from his website). It will be super-awesome, of course. By the looks of the video evidence, it appears as though he pulled a solid laptime.

That bulldog game was a bit too staged, but nice machinery on display non-the less.

The RS was also very impressive.

I'm trying to figure out why they even bothered comparing the Ford to the Renault, I don't think anyone would cross shop them. You could use the Ford every day but the Renault, well not so much. I mean what's the point of a hatchback if you can't use it?

The letter race was meh and the Porsche Panamara is one of the worse designed cars I've ever seen. I hope I don't see one in person because it will probably blind me.

I don't know what British Bulldogs is but I assume its a game like tag? I'm curious what they were shooting though, there is no way they would put someone out there and fire live ammunition at them like that.

That game of bulldog (I assume it's like bullrush for NZers/Aussies) seemed like a bit of a waste, they could have (hypothetically) used paintballs or something similar to give an actual impression of how many times they could have killed Jeremy without actually risking his life with live fire. Also, what a waste of an Evo :(

It was a pretty good episode. I liked the Panamera and the equipment in the Bulldog section, but overall that section was meh.

I think it made me like the Panamera even more, though those 20" RS Spyder wheels definitely improve the look. But I mean, even the backseats were sporty. I honestly can say, I would like to see just how capable the Turbo version id & how it stands in the flesh.

In some shots the front end of the Panamera reminded me of a C6 Corvette... especially the headlights. Not so much a fan of the green Recaros in the Focus, as well.

Wasn't such a great episode IMO. It was indeed a waste of an Evo, but I'm sure there was no chance of saving the car once it was decided that it would be crushed, so it's not so bad.

The olympic runner dude seemed a bit cocky, I'm kind of glad he wasn't the fastest because of that.
