Does anyone have a screencap of the one behind Alice Cooper? I think you would do a lot of us a favor.:sly:

I just got a text for when BBC America is supposed to start Series 17.

Just announced: the world's biggest car show is back! All new TOP GEAR season 17 starts Mon Aug 22 @ 9/8c - only on BBC America. Info: http://bbca.me/TGcoming

Well looks like we will have to go to Streetfire or YouTube.

Screw it, my stupid cable system wont even put bbc america on a hd channel here and watching this show in sd should be a damn crime imo! Ill stick with hoping to find them streaming on the net before bbc finds them and takes them down, which seems to be happening this season more then ever for some reason.

Vettel's been asked what his time was in the Liana.

He smirked, and said he couldn't tell, suggesting to reporters asking, that he was in fact first

I'm hoping Vettle is the only guest on the show, I hate it when they have a SIARPC then some F1 driver going on about whatever it is they go on about. It makes for a snooze fest of an episode for me.

I asked him personally today and he gave me the same smirk! :grumpy:

 Be glad you got to talk to him though. I don't think there are any GP Tracks in Texas so I don't think it'd be easy to talk to him.

Next year there will be.:)

Was anyone at the filming of it on Wednesday? I really want to know Vettle's time for some unknown reason.

p.s. Anyone ever been to a filming? Apparentley they say each joke a couple of times so the audiance's laugh sounds what they want it to be like. My uncle and auntie were at one and they were there the whole day. Sounds bad, but I'm sure that seeing amazing cars and the track would make up for it.

I love how Ross Noble instantly exposed the woman-wranglers of the studio, so that all the hot ones are in shot.

Ross Noble is an absolutely hilarious guy. Loved when I used to see him on thank god your here and at the comedy festival. Knew he loved his bikes but didn't think he'd have been fairly decent with a car too.

PS. Alex. Daft punk rock!

Its about to start on BBC2,and Vettel is pretty much confirmed to be there,he also talked about weight distribution, maybe he can be the faster(I'm not really a fan,but the analysis shows some serious interest of making the fastest lap).

I'm interested to find out if he's a robotic drone man.

Edit: Pleasantly surprised. Dislike him a little less.

Great episode, more and more the cars are becoming the stars again. Kudos team. 👍

Nice to see an episode all about cars for a change. Vettel doing an impression of Nigel Mansell was priceless. The second-hand-cars-for-the-price-of-a-Pixo I enjoyed; it's like Top Gear of old - silly, but with a point.

The stig lap in the McLaren was very good. He looked to have really nailed it and I'm sure McLaren are very happy with the outcome. Vettel also did very well and took the final corners very smooth and precisely. It is probably the pole position he is most happy about this year. I thought he would have won as Jake Humphrey expressions before sounded like it was going to be a fast lap and the Top Gear preview clip revealing the one minute part, Jeremy looked like he was impressed with the time.

Will the new stig be able to do a 1:43.9? I wonder if Hamilton would want to come on and see if he is quicker as he did a very fast time in the wet. However Vettel has set a very good benchmark time and will be hard to beat for most. I wonder if he used GT5 to perfect some of his lines before going on the show? He looked at laps of the other F1 drivers so I think he may have had a go on GT5. You can see quite easily on there where you are losing time.

Really good episode, the only episode since a while in which enjoy all the segments, however I had the suspicion that Vettel was the faster due to the Jake Humphrey expression before the GP,and Vettel seems like a very nice guy.

Also,it got me thinking about the used car feature, maybe an Impreza isn't that expensive after all(2003 WRX).

Judging by the advert for next Sunday's episode, I don't think it'll be as car oriented as the one shown today.

I agree that it was another good episode. Vettel is alot better at impressions than I thought he would be, plus Clarkson was right in saying that no one was surprised to see Vettel getting the fastest lap time. I was also really surprised that the cars Clarkson and Hammond bought were cheaper than a brand new Pixo. Also, the Brutus race car they mentioned has insane engine stats.

I wonder if they will make Stig do a lap in the Suzuki? I wonder if Hamilton will ever come back? Hope so. Maybe, the two of them will do laps in the winter series, as that's when the British F1 drivers appear.

Anyone think Barrichello will be angry? Remember how happy about it he was last year?

What's the name of the song at the 28 minute mark when James hits the Tarmac in the rover? Sounds like it's from a movie...

I think its Daft Punk - Outlands Part II, from the Tron Legacy soundtrack which they have used songs from in every episode so far this season.

That song was played a few minutes before James hit the tarmac. I recognised the actual song that played at the 28 minute mark straight away, which was Clint Mansell - Welcome to Lunar Industries (Moon OST #1). It's been used in various episodes throughout the last few series.

That wasn't their most exciting episode, though Vettel's interview was fantastic! He doesn't normally open up that much, and his Mansell impression was hilarious!

I liked the last bit, because it did have a moderate about of practicality to it, surprised cars like that can so cheap, though with my experience of the cars my Dad buys it probably means something goes wrong every week!
