Just seen the India episode on iPlayer.

Disappointing. By miles. They did need to do more driving and more challenges, rather than just driving to a place and do a scripted cock-up events.

Plus, the cars didn't seem to do that much driving in comparison to previous episodes, which led to possible breakdowns and unusual situations which makes for good television.

Pretty disappointed though.

I didn't really like that one because they weren't in cars and I have no interest whatsoever in bikes.

The fact that they weren't driving cars in that episode didn't change how much I enjoyed it, really. I'm not a big fan of bikes either, but the journey through Vietnam itself was great.

Nice! Thanks...apparently, according to Jeremy and James, they're going to have a new studio and a new indoor track.

I'm not entirely sure whether they were referring to the Top Gear Live event or the actual new show, but it does sound interesting. I mean, if they could get a space that they could fit a track similar to the Lotus-designed test track, then they could get more consistent and equal lap times from the stars and from the cars on the show. I guess we'll have to wait to find out if there is a new track or not. (They were saying a completely new area with a race track and drag strip included. They also mentioned the Stars in Reasonably Priced Cars will go around this new, indoor circuit. which stands to reason that it's for the show.)

I think they were referring to the Top Gear Live Event. 👍

Taking bets on how long it will take before people complain about Jeremy..

But seriously, glad it's back. The re runs on Dave get a tad boring after the 8th time.

16 minutes into tonight's episode

And the repeats on Dave always seem to be the same small selection of episodes, plus I hate it when they repeat the same few episodes that were shown the previous day.

But you know that Ferrari driver was Luca Badoer. The ultimate deception!

Edit: Always disappointed when people mention Imola and forget Ratzenberger.

Except that they didn't put it to a vote, and let the audience decide which car was better. That would have been a much better ending.

Also, McLaren was the best...

To be fair, I think JC, RH and JM did a decent job. There was no way they were going to beat that time.

Same. I think even Ayrton himself would be disappointed about that. Maybe we should send them an email about it.

And on that bombshell, I concur this was an enjoyable episode. 👍

Ditto. 👍

A surprisingly good episode, much better than the crappy India Special. I'd personally buy the McLaren, and I think it would've been the fastest given the same driver. Also, no Power Test today...

Oh, without a doubt.

I just thought it would be amusing if Look-how Bad-you-are, who is a top Ferrari tester, was the man who set a damn impressive time around Imola.

And I maintain, they should have put it to the vote at the end. A good episode, but the ending was just... sudden. No conclusion.

Unimpressed by tonight's episode. Will.I.am's interview was very dry, and the rest of it was incredibly dim.

Luca left Ferrari last year though. Could still have been him though. Definitely someone from Ferrari anyway.

Maybe Gene? Is he still on their books?

I understand where you're coming from. I was lucky enough to even find a stream and when the SIARPC bit was on, I muted it for 7 minutes, booted up iTunes and switched tabs.

Not the best supercar comparison, but it was a decent effort. I was neither impressed nor unimpressed.

How the hell did Jeremy cook Carbon Ceramic brakes. I like the fact that a Noble was driven all the way from Leicester to Rome overnight
