Rapidly losing interest in Top Gear. Used to love but it's becoming so formulaic and weak in content. This stand-up routine sums up a lot of what I don't like about it.

I literally didn't even smirk at that. I understand what he's getting at but he is just terrible. What a horrible git he is.

Caterham was clearly the better car.

Plus point: Generally being a decent episode. Big love on the Caterham.

Minus point: Foolishly not knowing Hammond's trike could do doughnuts. Not doing full lapss of Donington Park and comparing times.

Of course it was the R500 superlight is literally a road going race car that can match things you would consider to be alot faster. It has its own racing championship with very little tuning and on the right track it can beat DTM cars.

To me, it seemed that KTM had normal sports tyres under it, while Caterham was fitted with road legal semi-slicks. (something like Toyo R888) Most likely they used stock tyres (factory installed) for each car, but Caterham had an advantage when it comes to tyres. Morgan was in it's own league.

Gorgeous gals in the frontline again. 👍

Can't wait until next show with Slash and Kimi Räikkönen on it.

I was just gonna say "god I hope Kimi isn't the SIARPC... most one-sided interview ever" until I remembered Slash isn't exactly a talker either :P

Sad that this season will have ended already by this time next week, I suppose that's the issue with each episode requiring such a huge budget. You can knock out about 6 seasons of Have I Got News For You for the same price as one or two episodes of Top Gear, most likely :sly:

I was not arguing in pure performance terms, I said the Caterham was the best car in that way you say that your favourite is 'the best'. I'd have taken the Caterham over the other two any day of the week.

But you're both correct of course.

Raikkonnen next week? Embarrassing brown nosing for Clarkson then. Cringe.

I hope there's not a lot of brown-nosing. He's a character for sure, but, in my humble opinion, one of the least deserving World Champions in recent years.
But hey, that's not for this thread :P

I enjoyed the last episode overall but I was beginning to get a bit annoyed when they were testing the 0-100-0 times. JUST DO IT PROPERLY!

Bet kimi says something funny.

I will always remember the interview when told he missed the presentation he said he was having a 🤬

Clarkson
I interviewed him (Raikkonen) this week for tomorrow night's Top Gear show and he was his usual chatty self. "...............", he joked.

It should be an interesting interview though, really.

Do the series get shorter every time?

Its only just bloody started how can it be the last already?:grumpy:

This season is 7 episodes long, thats kinda in the middle for season length. They've had six episode seasons in the past.

Then again, they've also had 10 and 11 episode seasons in the past too. It's just because of how expensive each episode is to produce.

Raikkonen being humerous and smiling?

Mother of God...

I found the woman behind Kimi with her brain-dead derpy expression really funny too, for some reason.

Edit: Well, was not expecting that ending at all. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant end to the season.

Excellent episode I thought, both Kimi and Slash were good guests, the racing section was good too. Loved the ending, nice way to finish.

Absololutly brilliant tv. This was for me what top gear is all about, every section of the programme was sublime. I even managed to laugh at Hammond at one point, the motocross was incredible! Brilliant, just brilliant.

Very good. Loved the Chris Evans Ferrari bit, loved the rally cross, loved Kimi, loved all of it. I'd say best of the series. Ending on a high.

A good episode, hurrah!

Grassroots motorsport was brilliant.

Agreed, loved the episode, I can't think of a part that I didn't enjoy. Raikonen was funny and also car related, the ferrari was just pure car porn, slash was pretty cool and the rallycross was just brilliant just the right mix of messing about and seriousness mixed in with cars.

I especially liked that they were routing for eachother during the rallycross events, I really enjoy things like that where they are like a team. This was the best episode of the season by far.
