I've been playing about with something for an article you can hopefully read tonight and I concur fully.BMW and Volvo yes and yes.
Subaru maybe. You can definitely get an Impreza of that age for under £1500, but I was surprised when Hammond arrived in the WRX. Again, you can get an older Impreza Turbo for under £1500, but it'll have been ragged every day of its life and be pretty smoky by this point - so I'm surprised TG managed to get a bugeye WRX which doesn't seem in too bad shape (bit of peeling lacquer on the hood was all I could see) for that price.
But, you never know. Maybe it's a lot worse than it looks on TV. It's possible they got it for £1500.
If he paid £1,500 for that, last July when they bought the cars, something catastrophic should occur with it soon.
Can I temp you with a luvverly purple one?The Impreza... no. There's one sub-£1,500 turbo GD (Bugeye) Impreza 5dr available in the UK right now and it's badly, badly broken. In fact it's the only one sub-£2,000 one too.
If only there was a member with an expert knowledge of Subaru wagons...
I... like it. Minus the aftermarket headlights. Can I temp you with a luvverly purple one?
I'm half expecting Hammond to set it on fire "unintentionally" with his gas stove in part two.
That said, Africa is a beautiful continent. The parts they show, anyway.
paddyreeA mate of mine sold them the Alfa GTV that James used in the Alfa challenge.
He got some free tickets for the show as long as he dropped the price enough that it was under the budget.
And no, James May didn't do the negotiating.
Dude, it's the BBC. They have a crap load of money. So, it's either a drone or they have a helicopter.
They are the richest show and most watched show in the world. They could go to space if they saved for like a week.
