Wow. Probably one of the best episode of top gear i have seen. It was very funny as usual.
I think the Ford GT was slightly out-classed. It didn't really excel anywhere.
At least the Ford GT did not break down like Clarkson's lol.

They won an emmy too
Yes, very impressive (and well deserved) - I'm not sure that JC was entirely joking about moving to Channel 4... although I reckon that the BBC have done a great job with reinventing the show in recent years...

I thought that was Clarkson's own Ford GT?? The look on RH's face when the Zonda's nose hit the deck on coming out of the car park was priceless... that was genuine "I think I'm going to lose my job" anxiety...

I believe Jezza sent his GT back after continued problems involving the security system etc. e.g. he was getting phone calls informing him that his car was being stolen, when he was driving it. A bit lame.

That episode last night was great! I'd have the Ford GT. The Zonda is awesome, no doubt, but it's just too much for me. Ladyboy was a bit annoying but he did make at least one good point.

James May in the 'rarri was excellent, nice to see him getting out and about :D

They didn't spend enough time on the Iosis imo, wanted to know more about what it did have rather than what it didn't :indiff:

Did anyone notice that the brake lights of the Ford GT in the last episode kept flickering on and off? I saw this in the first part of the video, and didn't take too much notice of it. On the second part though, it happened again when they were on the bridge.

Yeh, I saw that aswell.. . when they were at a roundabout and JC was about to go for another lot of fuel... very odd...

And then he got it back again.

read on finalgear.com that the flickering was due to them being LEDs which supposedly flicker on TV like a monitor. i have no idea if it makes sense, though.

anyway, another exceptional episode. the run through france was just fantastic. gorgeous cars, sounds and pictures...the focus test was superd and the ladyman did very well, too. ;)

Yes, that makes sense.

I thought about that for a second or two, but I never knew brake lights would be like that.

I was just about to mention the brake lights.

And about Jezza and his Ford GT, he did say he'd bought it twice. Question is, did he keep his SL55 aswell?

I noticed that but I thought were it was an american car the flashing was by the indicator. Caue americans cars sometimes have red indicator lights.

I heard clarkson didnt go to collect the Emmy because at the last award show he had a punch up.

No he didn't go to get the Emmy because he didn't know he'd been nominated for one, the first he heared was when he got a call saying congratulations on winning the Emmy, pity you wern't there to collect it.

Thats what he said on Friday night with Jonathan Woss.

I missed it too, it was repeated last night, or Sat night I can't remember which. It was okay, JC was talking about his recent trip to Iraq and he said he was in this UN helicopter and someone just got up on a roof and fired a rocket at them, he said he was listening to Bad to the bone on his mp3 player when he looked down as saw a rocket hurtling towards him then the pilot did some evasion manouvers and the rocket flew past. JW asked him if he was scared he said it was cool listening to that and seeing a rocket comine towards you, and he wasn't scared because the rocket's they use were ancient and are built like Lada's. He got shot at a few times as well, he said he was shot at within minuets of arriving or something like that.

Yeah but it's quite old.

I also thought he had a Disco' or something for the family?

He's got a Range Rover for something or other.

He was driving around in it for that "Who do you think you are" program.

I think Vicki Buttler Henderson would make a great addition to the team shame she's on fifth gear

That was making me cringe too all the cars were struggling to get out of there, I guess you never think of things like that when you see a supercar

Did anyone notice that the brake lights of the Ford GT in the last episode kept flickering on and off?

I did notice I thought since the break lights are a concave shape I thought they were just reflecting the stripes on the road

The Ford GT was mighty impressive and the F430 had a sound I've never heard in a car before. The Zonda? Bleh, at best.

Hehe, Hammond crying "You're supposed to have traction control!!" at the Zonda in the mountains was great. And the noise that Ferrari made......

I fully agree...

The Ferrari wins in my book... The E-differential, and light weight, leading to amazing handling that beats both the Zonda and Ford GT...

Captain Slow pulling away from both of them on the twisties in the Ferrari was fun to watch, as both Jeremy and Hamster cringe at every passing car...

Great episode all around...

The Zonda weighs less than the F430 (1250kg vs 1255kg). I don't think the Zonda was shown in a very good light.

It weighs less but that doesn't mean it's as chuckable round tight corners, also they said they couldn't pick a winner between them so that puts the Zonda in the same light as the GT and F430.

I never said it did :)

I don't think they mentioned the weight of the Zonda so I was just pointing it out...

Ferrari have been using the same kind of sounds in most Ferrari's before the F430. But I reckon the Hamster has had his teeth made more white like a Hamster.

But the Ferrari is shorter and thinner... The Zonda and Ford GT are wide and long... The Ferrari is made for the corners... A difference of 5kg's is not much either...

However, I do like the Zonda (especially the Zonda F)... I'm just a corner junky... If it can't handle the twisties well, I don't want anything to do with it...

On the 4th Ep of Top Gear these are the highlights!!

Jezza, Richard and James are on a mission. Their task is to find a decent Italian supercar for under £10,000.

Once they've spent their cash, the boys will then cast their eye over each other's purchases - to find out if you really can buy a thoroughbred for Fiesta money.

There's a race between a mountain bike and a car through the streets of Lisbon, and the Marcos TSO-GT British sports car is taken for a spin on the Tarmac.

The Top Gear guest this week is yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur, who will be sailing around the track in the Suzuki Liana.
