Don't worry nitro as soon as i post up the highlights for next week. It will go quick really quick then the 4th Ep will be finished, as soon as you can say Veyron.

But the Zonda F's sound is like a mix between a Ferrari and a TVR both throwen togther mates.

Great Great episode.

The Pagani was abit rushed, but I don't think there was much to say once it set that amazing lap.

The Clio v Bike was pretty impressive, that cyclist must have had balls (and saddle sore). The new Clio looks much meaner, hopefully there'll be 182 and Cup versions (Fingers crossed a V6).

Dame Ellen McArthur was very impressive. How come the people you least expect set the times?

And the Supercars part was amazing. Though I wonder how the guy that sold the car to Jeremy can claim to have spent 10 Grand on the engine!?

I know, that Maserati whilst imo looked the nices was the worst one there, the whole engine blew and it only had 80bhp, and it wasn't an SS, he bought the SS badge as an accesory. JC had his money stolen, or as good as .

You could tell Ellen McArthur's lap was a fast one as she was going round, credit to her for setting the fastest lap (minus Damon Hill ofcourse but they don't count his time with him being an ex-F1 driver and all).

Did anyone actually see the little gadget on that brand spanking new Veyron? The one that actually showed how much bhp you were using at any one time?!

Christ, when that shot over to 1001...Man!

Note: I presumed it is something like that.

Also, JC did a review on the Sunday Times with that car, two weekend back. Said it was...(thought: They may not want to know!)

The budget supercar was funny, especially when the cars were breaking down...but it was a bit of a let down, there wasn't so much..."vibe" to it.

(i've only just found this forum for Top Gear...liking what i see!)

Roll on next week!

Yeah, the bhp meter. I've seen that in all the magazine articles on it, the Veyron can also produce over 1001bhp, it can go closer to 1100 apparently.

Yep, there is a BHP dial on the dash. Pretty cool. 👍

Yeah, the engine produces nearly that much power. Bugatti said they put down 1001bhp as the official figure because it was originaly going to be that.

Yeah, Evo mentioned it in their review in last months mag.

TopGear is probably the mostly watched TV program by UK GTP members.

There will be no V6 clio because they dropped it, also the Veyron can go much more fast top speed wise. Think what pro tuners and race teams could do to it, dare i say it.

Could tuners get it to 300MPH with some help from Nitros O2.

I think the Veyron race will be the most watched clip on my PSP, in the morning before work in the future folks.

If it doesn't overheat in the process. ;)

The Veyron does have some sort of complicated electronic wizardry, with the wing at the back? Apparently, if you pressed a button while stationary, then go like hell, the wing automatically lowers, allowing you a shot at getting to 240mph or w/e speed it reaches...!

Would be well cool to see a video of a tuner driver applying NOS to achieve that speed...(imagines the whoooooshing effects of the NOS...)

Big balls required tho!

Liquid Nitrogen would require heavy materials to store, wouldn't it TVR?

The Veyron can go fater, yes i's electronically limited to 250-whatever mph, BUT no road tyres will cope with speeds over that, thats the fastest the tyres fitted to the Veyron were tested to and deemed safe enough, above that your in the unknown really and the tyres could suddenly burst due to the heat generated. Now with a pair or specailly deeloped tyres that arn't road legal, yes you could get the Veyron faster. I don't think we'll be seeing much in the way of tuned Veyrons though.

Still the supercars that go that fast. Are not as fast as a veyron 0-60MPH or 0-100MPH, even most supercars near or with that BHP, have not as light weight as a Veyron. Also at the moment Veyron's speed is 257MPH i think.

It would be crazy if there was a Veyron racing in LeMans.

It would certainly set the record for the most completed lap ever in the 24hr Le Mans.

But, is it reliable? Considering it's made by the Big VW, i would say it should be!

Hmm, the tyres. I've forgotten about that one!

Thats if they could sort out the MPG for LeMans racing, remember at top speed it has 2MPG. Plus each set of tyres cost about £1400.

The Veyron can't enter LeMans, it's 4wd for a start, too powerful, has too many turbo's (I think) and so on. Besides that, LeMans race cars rarely get as much as 2 or 3 mpg.

Well, the Veyron isn't exactly "lightweight". The Bugatti team are proud they've kept the weight down to 'only' 1,950kg.

Without some electronic gadgetry, the car can 'only' do 234mph, which is drag limited I believe. It has a 'speed key', which apparently sits between the drivers seat and the door sill. This closes the front diffuser, the ride height drops and the rear wing and spoiler retract. This reduces drag, but also drastically reduces downforce.

I don't think the Veyron is a viable car for racing. There are several regulations against moveable panels and wings on the car, so without modification it wouldn't be allowed to race.

Plus, it can chug it's 100 litre tank in 20 minutes at full throttle, so fuelling it for 24 hours could get expensive.👍

It's not quite that simple. You have to be at a complete standstill, insert a second key (which adjusts the wings so that instead of steadily increasing the downforce available, they peak at about 210mph then trim off, and also lowers the car a little further and removes the first speed limiter) and then go at constant full throttle - the first time you lift, the car returns to "standard" configuration. AND there's a second limiter, at 252mph.

No, it wouldn't. It's top speed is only marginally above the top speeds of the P1 cars (well, if the ACO would butt-out, the R8's top speed would be around 220-230 mph) which weigh half what the Veyron does, have gobs of power, sticky tires, and large amounts of downforce. And then there is the problem that the Veyron's engine, drivetrain, and aerodynamics are not racing legal in any class. Though it would be funny to watch the Veyron stop at Terte Rouge every lap, stick in key #2, and take off for a deceptively short 1.2 miles, take the chicane, stop again, take off for another mile, take the chicane, stop again, and take off for another mile. Face it, the Veyron's top speed is impractical in every arena; it's for amusement only.

It's the same with pretty much every 220mph+ car, no-one ever goes that fast exept for very controleld conditions on a long straight road or large banked oval. Remember though, the Veron goes over 230 without the second key, so it's still one fast machine with the added downforce.

As for records at LeMans, sure the Veryon has the pace, but theres no way in hell it'll corner as well as an R8 or Speed 8 ect, an Enzo can't corner like either of thoes can either and that'd get hammered in a race.

Ok best part of the last ep, was the in memory of Richard Burns i reckon. 2nd best part has to be the SuperCars for 10 grand.

And 3rd best part has to be the Zonda F, still I reckon its sound. Is a mix between TVR sounds and Ferrari sounds folks..
