Hamsters ferrari sounded very nice seeing as it as around 30 years old.
The guy JC bought his car from said he recently spent 10K on an engine re-build....

BTW, i saw a new clio today, i noticed its inherited a little hump at the back from the Megane

And you forgott the high roar notes, are Ferrari like. When it screams while passing.

I thought last night's episode was one of the best I've ever seen...

The Zonda F

The £10,000 supercars - especially the bit when James May breaks down infront of the school - at lunchtime

Ellen MacArthur getting the fastest lap

The Clio v The Mountain bike

and, of course, the tribute to Richard Burns

... but the Veyron will be a must-see :D (I just hope I'm in to see it!!)

I'll have to record next weeks and watch it later, I don't think I'll be back in time for it. It's one that I must see though, possibly the highlight of the series.

Two words: Sky. Plus.

Slick Rick
Hamsters ferrari

Clarkson was quite right. The Dino was never a Ferrari, though it's often incorrectly referred to as a Ferrari Dino.

Amusingly, my car has more power than two of the cars and a better power-to-weight than any of them. 80hp in a Merak - especially one which has had a £10,000 engine rebuild? Criminal.

You mean Sky+? :sly:

And yes last night's episode was a good one. Can't get over how sweet the Zonda looks 👍 I was really hoping they'd get to the strip club in Slough, it's only 10 minutes drive from my house. Would have cracked up if they'd made it into Slough town centre and had all the chavs around them. Gotta love Slough. Also loved James' "So we're going through Maidstone then?" "No, Maidenhead" "Ah..", that got some laughs.

Veyron :)

Well, it's not quite as catchy, is it?

"Two words: Sky. Plus."
"Two words and a non-alphanumeric character which forms a single character acronym: Sky. +."

Seeing Hamster get out of his car and the door drim falling off was priceless... The Mirror falling off was also classic...

The budget supercar section was just pure comedy all around...

"I'm very happy doing this, if you'd like to sod off"...

;)

Very pleased to see the Zonda F get the fastest lap. But I get the impression that the Veyron may not be doing a lap next week rather it will only be in the 'race accross Europe' film.

They've got great chemistry between them Clarkson, Hammond and May. Hammond will be getting stick for the rest of the series about his teeth.

I do sometimes wonder if Clarkson isn't just a bit of a bully but yeah, it's the banter I like most to be honest! Well, that and some fine automotive porn! :D

His face is amazing whenever it's mentioned.

How did he ever end up on Radio.
[EDIT] Oh wait, that's right, it was the hair.

Anybody watched Heaven and Hell yet? Theres a great bit in that with the TVR Sagaris racing a Corvette C6, they do a drag race then a timed lap in each, Jeremy drives the Sagaris in the drag and the Stig drives the Vette, JC screws up the lauch in the TVR but halfway down the strip he flys past the Vette, it's not even funny, he's going that much faster by the time he's caught up the Vette it just whizees past his window. The the Stig does a lap in both of a short track, the TVR beats it by 2 seconds. Then JC says but the TVR didn't win because this id, and starts blabbing on about the Monaro :grumpy:. I still prefer the TVR by a long shot.

Sorry I'm a day late... (We don't get BBC 2 over here so I have to rely on other sources...)

But I Highly doubt that £10.000 rebuild ever took place.. I mean, the previous owner had the nerve to buy a £ 40 SS badge... Sorta gives him away in my book...

Yeah JC was shafter royally with that Maserati, if he'd bough one of a different person he'd probably have had the best car there.

Apparently there's a bit of tension in next week's challenge. James and Richard are flying a light aircraft (James has just got his pilot's license) against Jeremy in the Veyron and in the confined space things get a bit heated

*Goes and watches now* :)

Loved the episode...that Zonda is just insane! When they had it on Fifth Gear they didn't really just give you that pure noise. Ah it just makes me drool!
Flez I agree with you, Jeremy definitely got ripped off...80hp? haha.

I have seen his new DVD, the C6 still needs to be improved more for the cornering. It may be the best handling Corvette, but it still needs way more improving.

When US finally do a better handling car then the best supercar makers:

TVR
Aston Martin
Lotus
Noble
Ferrari
Lamborghini
Ferrari
Pagani
Bugatti
Koenigsegg
Porsche

Then they will all take the handling up to the next level.

In all fairness it was against the Sagaris which handles "like a Noble" in JC's own words.

Since the Sagaris handling is done by the person who worked on Noble M12's. It was funny when he thought the engine was trying to escape, and by what i think.

It was trying to escape.

 Yeah that the was funny. I so love that car though, it's got the grunt, the looks, everything I like about TVR's.

On Gadets Gadets Gadets, they were showing off. A feature about some place in Japan made a Electric concept car, which can nearly top 200MPH.

And has 500BHP, while being able to do 187 miles of travel, anywhere in the world. On a one hour charge, i so hope they people who made it. Will let Top Gear Drive it, plus its even longer then most Electric cars.

Famine-- I'll rescue you:

Three Words: Telewest. Teleport. Replay. ;)

I thought that the £10k supercar thing was a bit of a farce really. I don't classify any of them as supercars, and it was a bit shambolic with them breaking down all the time. I did laugh when the Maser blew up though. That Ferrari wasn't a proper Dino - you'd never get a 246 for that money.

The Zonda F did sound awesome. When they said the price of it, my wife (in the next room) exclaimed "****ing hell".

They were all supercars in their time, when they were around they were among the fastest cars around. They wouldn't touch a hot hatch today, but back then, only other supercars could touch them.

The Ferrari, or the Dino rather was a proper Dino, it just wasn't a Dino 246. There was a number of different Dino's built, the 246 your thinking of was just one of them.

And hope your wife isn't listeninng in next week when they say the price of the Veyron .

Have you seen the old episode with the Veyron watch.. I was all the way back when they (Jeremy, Richard and James) still doubted it would ever come out.... The way Clarkson spoke of the watch - I can't quote him, but something along the lines of ".....ugly as sin... £ 140.000.... tribute to a car that will never exist..."

I remember the Veyron watch lol, anyway can't this week go any quicker. I so want the Veyron race against the plane to come on now.

Quicker Quicker time, I demand to see the new ep now. Sorry about that guys, I cannot wait any longer just like my 360 mates.
