Considering the wait, are you happy with how the finished product appears to look?

This has probably been requested a million times, but....
Can anyone download the GT6 track editor to a supported tablet, download this app ->https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ext.ui and then extract the GT6 app to Dropbox or somewhere? Someone in this forum has to have an Android tablet and about 5 minutes of free time right? It'll also solve all the complaining that's happening.

My class is about to start so I'll just plug this in. Hopefully it helps. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=63067562#post63067562

Why an app at all? That's my point... A webapp running from the gran-turismo.com website could work on any modern browser just fine, accross all devices...

Ii is possible... check Pixlr web editor, that's almost a full photoshop program working on a web interface...

Heck, even those useless chromebooks and Windows RT tablets could use it...

Maybe... Even... The PS3 web browser.

C'mon, its like telling the trolls, not to troll; the idiots not to be idiots. These guys will spam an share their crap stuff still. I think optimistic, that the majority will be just kids who are really proud of their work and will share this in best intentions, even if this tracks are also crap. Did you got my point?

Until now, I guess, that their is only a full lobby a good indicator (or the only one) for a good track.

So, you don't want anyone to use your track yet you'll still share it?

No app yet. But i calmed down and gaze the rain puddles.

Well, no, you can because the "old" games were not made by stone! The same things, in matter of programming had to be done as well for the old V-Rally 2.

All what I mentioned is done on the ps3 side or PD servers.

The main difference of the "same stone" is being more advanced. Look at it this way. GT1 cars where made in roughly 1 week and GT5/6 takes 30times more (but the core principles are the same). Same goes with the algorithm + power usage.

And how in the world this justify a tablet only app?

Because they wanted to add more "human drama".

My point has nothing to do with it being on the tablet (it's mainly about its features). But there might be memory consumption issues and at this point they should make separate app(from the game) on the ps3

Yes, largely by you.

Look, it's simple. Google has not yet put the app into everyone's store. Until they do, almost no-one is going to be downloading anything, much less tossing around with it.
The app is in the Google Play Store, but it's because of how PD set the app restrictions that many people even with an Android Tablet can't even download it. The only solution would be to get .apk or to wait for PD to come out with a compatible app that the Play Store classifies as a regular app, rather than a tablet specific app that doesn't even work for half the tablets that exist in the Google Certification board.

There is ONE download of it registered. That'll be the developer - or Google.

It isn't in the store yet. That's why you can't search it.

Go to the Play Store. Try to find the app by searching rather than clicking on a direct link.

It's not there.
I'm guessing they've either made the app private or something because how can there be 27 reviews if there is only 1 download?

Looking good so far. Downloaded the app and made some local tracks. Including a try at Belgian Circuit Zolder.
Unfortunately I can't upload them (yet), since I'm on iPad Air 1. I hope that issue will be solved!

You would be surprised ;) No Windows here, only OS X and iOS :)

Right now the app only seems downloadable for the japanese playstore. We just have to wait a little.

@Famine Still no comment about the delay ? :P (I'm really curious)
I've heard from the people over at XDA that if you can trick Google into redirecting you to the Japanese store, it'll work. Too bad Google is too intelligent so it keeps redirecting you back to whatever country you live in.

Edit: Maybe this will work https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.polyphony.GTCourseMaker&hl=ja
I've tricked it into thinking I'm in Japan.

Link ? Please :)

https://play.google.com/store/search?q=gt6&c=apps -> no app (french)
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=gt6&c=apps&gl=us -> no app
...

Tricking the website will only let you browse the app as a japanese. I think that perhaps with a proxy/VPN you could download it...

I'm not at all fluent in Japanese, but I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess that "This app is not compatible on any of your devices" is what that text next to the X means.

Well still 13 hrs till the day ends... Honestly screw Apple and PD for their iFetish. >:|

Man this sucks.

Can you build on the red areas (aka mountains) or near enough to make something like Bathurst?

Why didn't they release it as well as a browser-extension. This way everyone would be able to use it.
They could've made it a separate game or application on the PS3 as well. They've done it with Gran Turismo 5 370Z time trial demo back in the day and same with GT Academy 2012 demo. They could've done the same with course maker if it was that big if an issue to put in-game..
