Disappointing how many people say “it was what it was at launch and you paid for it”. This is the damage caveat emptor does, it makes people accept inadequate things for what they paid and completely release the seller from responsibility of providing quality.

Only for lazy people that can't read or people that are hooked by pre-order bonuses. Caveat emptor is fair advice for off the shelf software that is widely discussed and reviewed at the point of release... the only people that are releasing the developer of the responsibility for providing quality are those that either think it is a quality enough product, or those that don't believe they have a responsibility to find out what they're spending their money on.

Game wasn’t complete at launch, they’re filling it out.
That all makes perfect sense if you don't know what "complete" means and if you think "caveat emptor" means the exact opposite of what it really means - and don't know about consumer rights.

But then we had some trouble with the concept of "free" earlier too.

This is the part that has me intrigued. I know I’m reading far too into this, and jumping to conclusions, so fellow members please be saved the trouble of bearing down on me for this post.

My question; why model this section in such great detail if it has no future purpose? Why include it at all in the trailer if they don’t want any attention brought to it?

That would be like modeling Bugatti Circuit at Le Mans without giving us access to drive on it..

Not like PD would ever do such a thing as that, though ;)

I bet Route X will be popular online now that it's back. Not just for going fast but for drag racing too, and daily workouts. Looking forward to firing up the update tonight. I bet the Tuscan will be a standout but I'm most excited for the 356.

Cars update is good, more old stuff suits me just fine.

The track tho I will never use except to keep my 100% circuit experience. Driving in a straight line for 5 minutes? I think staying interested will be the hardest part of driving the track. Am I wrong?

Just noticed this. Might be to negate a certain exploit.

It might actually be a fix for the dual controller feature they have for players with wheels who can easily revert back to the DS4 to navigate menus. This can possibly fix the FFB issues that occur when switching between both controllers.

Ill be truly honest
Route X is a ok addition i can understand the appeal but its not my cup of tea shall i say, as far as the the cars go
1. Aston Martin DB3S Im intrestied for it but thats about it due to GR.X however its important to note that this is the first classic aston martin race car and the first classic aston in general since GT2 im hoping it will cost 10 or 15 million rather than the full 20 but hey hoo.
2. BMW Z8 i like it but thats all it depends from the sound upgrade if i will use it or not.
3. Ferrari Dino great low power little ferrari it will probably be a dominating force at the lower N classes pretty sweet stuff.
4. Honda Integra Type R DC2 Defenatly my favorite car on this pack getting premium for the first time after 22 years in the series with (hopefuly spot on sound if not the community will go kaboom) it will surely be a dominating force as well and a nice alternitive to the Civic Type R.
5. Nissan 350Z One of community's favorites but i don't really care it would have been more special if the original 2002 model turned premium in my opinion because i drove this version since 2008 .
6. Porsche 356 A Speedster My second favorite car of the pack i was hoping it will come soon a absolut legend of a car and a nice change of pace from the 911's.
7. Shelby G.T.350 My favorite classic mustang and possibly my favorite classic muscle im going to use quite a bit.
8.TVR Tuscan Speed 6 Welcome back TVR! that being i don't really care about it like with Z8 but this car marks the return of the true british lightweights to the series since lotus was removed.

This is the thought that came to mind when seeing the track. I am wondering what or if a country will be associated with Route X. This could set the precedent if future GT original tracks are added.

Route X is based off PD's new office location of Fukuoka. The port depicted in the game is from the Hakata area.

I remember watching this back in 2013,and how huge the drag racing community is in GT,it's Super Stage Route 7 in the video but the same will happen with SSRX,not my favourite track but it can be fun in lobbies(don't know how the hell they are going to use it in Sport Mode)

Special Stage Route X doesn't remotely me, but there are plenty who seem glad so I'm happy for them. I am very much looking forward to the Aston Martin DB3S and Porsche 356 Speedster and seeing TVR return is terrific. The epic Speed 12 will hopefully join us some day.

Disappointed the GT350 isn't the R. I don't think it looks good in street trim. Needs meaty, wide tires and Torq-Thrusts. Don't think I'll really use it. The DC2 is looking great though.

And.. lame "track". No thanks.

Bring on the next patch!

Wonder if some of the new features are in Custom Race.

-Multiclass
- Choose same manufacturer
- Choose drivetrain Type

PD really need to offer the same thing in Custom Race, as they do in GT League.
A 20 car grid of Z Heritage with Custom Race's better AI.
Same for Stars & Stripes, Nostalgic Cars, erc.

Like this update, the oval track is not very exciting but it can be fun to race in one make race !

It seems ok to me that the update is "Light" with a quite simple track, i dont see that as update content quality fading away. There was Christmas / New year eve and maybe less time for the PD team to test update contents ?

Stop calling this “free”! It’s not. Full price was paid for a full game I do not yet have and I pay a subscription fee to play the “full” game that I paid for. It’s not free. I paid for it a year ago. It’s not a wonderful gift. It’s PD trying to offer a good fair product for price.

Let's say it is a gift. It’s the thought that counts right? Ummmmm was there thought to this? Pleases the video gamers I guess. To me, as a gift, this looks like a cheap sweater that’s the wrong size.

The more time I spend watching PD and how they manage this game they look more and more like a talented company that’s poorly run. They succeed in spite of themselves due to a lack of competition and a rabidly biased fan base. At least they get it right that they should be adding content without additional cost.

I agree with you, GT Sport lacked of content when it was released, out of all 160 cars approximately 30 of them where fictional concept cars and race cars.

Personally I support the idea of adding content to the game through updates (Games as service), but unfortunately companies use it as an excuse to monetize an unfinished product.
