I wonder what events may get Races added or new categories. More than a few Beginners events, are stuck on 3 races. Endurance is still looking empty compared to the other tiers.

I think the Amateur section will have new races in the Nostalgia event. This is one of the last Amateur events still with 3 races and would make sense with the Corvette C2 and The Rockford Files added last month.

Beginner and Professional races added could be anything though.

Here's another one I forgot. Does the FIA season end on the Jan 12? Because, the Supra road car, is due to make its unveiling on Jan 14, in Detroit. Gazoo Racing having their special theme display, could play into what PD may update us with.

Could we get that WRC Vitz/Yaris, Supra VLN, Supra GT500 and Supra pre-production car, all in one shot? Would make for some standard FIA races(Gr.B, N300, Gr.2). One make Daily races, etc.

There's also the sound of the Supra posted in the Supra thread. So much going and this month isn't over yet.

N900 already exists. Just that no car is in it by default, however other cars can be tuned or detuned to the class. Group 2 however did not exist before the introduction of Group 2 cars.
Well, default N900 cars dont exist. N900 defaults could debut, thats what I meant. Or even N1100, N1200 and so on.

To that old post, just because Yamauchi reposted or liked it doesn't really mean it's for GT Sport purposes.
If it were, the @thegranturismo account would be used :)

Jay Leno Tank Car is too heavy for N900, it should be Gr.X or less.
It is actually. Other N900 candidates are basically light hypercars. Tank Car is way too slow for those. Also, it actually it was modified from 810HP to 1600HP according to wikipedia.

The Jay Leno Tank Car was my favourite oddity from previous GT games. It was enormous and looked so wrong yet very cool. Nordschleife in that was quite an experience.
If the Tank car (aka Blastolene Special) doesn't return, maybe it's brother will show up in GT Sport:

Based on?
That's part of the definition of speculation: reasoning based on, usually, incomplete evidence.

When we know stuff, that'll go on the News pages. Stuff we want (cars, tracks, features) goes in the Suggestions forums. The speculation threads are for reasoned guesses based on the evidence - which is what's come before.

In the past, outdated cars have been replaced by different versions or variants. Just a guess with the Tank Car since it was a standard car.
We know that the Tank Car has been in Gran Turismo before, and so we know it was modeled to at least GT4 specifications.

Seven of the 103 GT Sport DLC cars have also been in Gran Turismo before and modeled to at least GT4 specifications - Honda Beat and NSX Type R, Jaguar E-Type, Nissan R92CP, Subaru Impreza 22B, Toyota MR2 and Supra A80. That gives a direct precedent for a car like the Tank Car returning.

As far as I can tell, no manufacturer previously seen in a Gran Turismo game has returned to GT Sport with a car previously not included in the brand's dealerships. That does not preclude any other "Jay Leno" cars outside the Tank Car and Toronado from appearing, but it is not inside the known actions of Polyphony Digital when it comes to picking DLC vehicles.

For giggles:

TRACK-
Used to be real/fictional/real/fictional until Fuji/RBR/Catalunya broke the cycle. Assuming that fictional 3x/real 3x is the new thing until March, fantasy track time. No idea, so default-ish suggestion of Deep Forest.

CARS:
Average of eight cars per update the last few go-arounds.
  1. Series favorite/stalwart, 3000GT VR4/Starion from later in it's production run.
  2. Stalwart 2, Toyota TS020
  3. Newcomer, Lancia 037
  4. Newcomer 2, 2019 ZR1 Corvette
  5. Oddball sure to cause contention amongst the SIMRACING IS SUPERSERIOUS/RACING FOR FUN IS FORBIDDEN crowd, it's the small boi Daihatsu Midget II. (Or, if I get my way, the BIG BOI Dodge SRT-10 Regular Cab)
  6. Returning premium, 2010 Honda CR-Z
  7. Returning premium, 2007 Lexus IS-F
  8. Returning premium, 1965 Shelby GT350

So, bearing in mind my contribution to the news site today, my speculation is:

Date - January 4th
Track - Real; Most likely candidates are Silverstone and that one in Belgium.
Cars - Eight
1. Mazda MX-5 (NA) 1989 - N100
2. Nissan Fairlady Z Z34 2008 - N300
3. Honda Civic (EK) Type R 1997 - N200
4. Pagani Huayra 2013 - N700
5. Pozzi MotorSports Camaro RS (2011 SEMA GT Award) - N500
6. Cizeta V16T 1994 - N500
7. Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK-GTR 1997 - Gr.1
8. Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak 1997 - Gr.X

8. Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak 1997 - Gr.X

Those all look like solid picks to me.
