Hmmm. not a fan of GTA so I didn't know about "WTJ" being in the game. Axl as a DJ.. Hm.. that can only mean two things:

1. he was given loads of money. Loads. Guess TT can pay that to him, and
2. He spend too much of his money. Not all, of course, because that is just impossible, even for a tranvestial megaloman of his calibre. Sounds unbeliavable, but I guess we'd all be amased how the coke price tag can be high these days in LA for "I-have-to-hide-from-all-the-people-in-the-world" type of celebrities.

Still pretty sad about WTJ never been included on GT, but I guess thay would have to rate the game different.

Ok, someone said this would sound cool earlier in the thread, so I edited "America, **** yeah!" into the movie. This is just the second half of the intro, without the opera part. Tell me if the link goes down and enjoy! 👍

Ugh, the new US intro song is terrible! Who chose that song? It feels like I'm back in the 80's and I've got a long mullet.
I hope the Aussie (not PAL) version gets localised again, as was the case with GT3. (from what I remember...)

its alright, i like it quite a good bit more than the Japanese one, (notice the roar of those engine sounds... to bad thats not the real sounds ) later on though.. it.. doesnt quite get to good but the beginning after the opera music is alot better i think than the Japanese one

the fuel one.. ehm.. sucks.. lol the music doesnt go along with the cars or anything in the background at all, thats one thing if you notice how the US intro is, when the lines go across the screen, the song matches up with it perfectly, where as yalls edits didnt at all

I didn't like the Metallica and U2 ones because you faded in the music. It was really anticlimatic. With something as dramatic as that sign turning over, you wanna BAM punch in the music. Metallica is cool though



But really, shouldn't we all just be happy it ISNT Lenny Kravitz?

great song, but the video feels a little flat. I dunno, it doesn't feel as "involving" as the guitar rock in the japanese intro, and the transition from opera to van halen is just wierd.

"highway star" by deep purple would have been better.

edit: that metallica intro was great! props to whoever edited that one. 👍

i actually love this intro, infact i was kidna worried because i heard that panama was gonna be in the game, and i oculdnt find the song on any music list, i was gonna be pretty dissapointed if they had taken it out, because aside from the tracks made just for the game (break down) and born to slow (chem bros) the ost is kind of a let down.

and yes, i still play gt3 with the game music, un less im doing an endurance race, then its radio all the way.

In fact music it about the only reason why this game would be perfectly at home on the x-box. only cause the x-box lets you save and import music to most games.

i would kill to keep my 99 red balloons, turbo lvoer, are you gonna go my way, and songs from 1 and 2 on gt4.

Its not too bad! Van Halen gives it a nastalgic and real American feel! Decent choice of music IMO. It could have easily been a lot worse.
Im not picky I just want the game.

yea realy we could of ended up with snoop dog crap or some limp dillsnick 👎 but i still think Metalicas Fuel song would of ben the best you know " GIVE ME FUEL GIVE ME FIRE GIVE ME THAT WITCH I DESIRE BOOOM!!!" and as far as the opera opening 👍 it show what GT has that all the NFS and MS racer clones dont... class

Wow! that's the first good news about the North American release IMO, I liked the Japanese one but this one's even better, Van Halen is great, and Panama suits the video very well IMO

That was cool, not as good as the japenese intro but it did give it an american feel to it. The song could have matched a little better at some parts but over all it was good.

The song is self is pretty boring, and it the end it sounds as if the dude is repeating "Enigma" over and over again. It's go now flow, nor does it fit with Gran Turismo. Tsk, tsk..

I've watched both videos over and over again, and I fail to understand how you can say Panama matches up any better than Fuel?

You say the music doesn't go along with the cars or anything. Ok, so when the car drops off its jacks, you hear a distinctive stereo hit, very matched up to me. And when the GT logo fades out, you hear the main vocals come in hard, just as the Ford GT roars away. Also, when it is streaking across the front of the CLK-GTR it is very matched to the music. Sure every scene doesn't perfectly fit, but to go as far as saying it sucks, or that it doesn't fit at all, I fail to understand your criteria for that statement? Maybe it's your opinion and your entitled to that. What's odd is that nobody else says it's completly ill-matched. The whole "lines across the scene statement" carries no weight because it doesn't match up correctly with Panama that well either. However, it does fit nicely with the wailing keyboard in Moon Over the Castle, the song originally scored with that scene.

Sorry if I sound I little harsh, I just get angered when someone bashes something that I put time and effort into. That and I just got home from a long shift at work and I'm on painkillers for my wisdom teeth but they haven't kicked in yet...lol. But don't get me wrong, I'm open to constructive criticism, but this seems to be senseless bashing with no weight behind it. But your entitled to your opinion, whether I like it or not

I see your point. After watching it a few times, even I kinda got annoyed by the fact it faded in instead of just coming out of nowhere. So I edited it so now there is no fade-in, just the sign flipping over and straight to vocals, let me know what you think. And thanks for the constructive criticism, I appreciate it.
